Sometimes when you love something in its original format it's hard to imagine a reboot with a new host, I think Sheldon can't imagine the show without the original Professor Proton.

But wasn't Sheldon going to be (or actually was, I don't remember) Professor Proton Jr. at one point in time?

Well yeah Penny's had good practice. So no surprises she is good with an actual baby. Who has the excuse of being an actual baby kolobok_sarcastic_hand.gif
Lol. It's funny how some think lenny are not ready to have kids. And the excuse is they will not make good parents, tptb keeps implying this also, but lately that seem to be changing that attitude. I laugh at those statements because even tho tptb trys to make out they are not, they have also shown many times that they are ready and can handle anything a baby can throw at them imo, i think they will make great parents and are ready, as soon as lenny stop denying the obvious.

I still love Sheldon but I agree with the bold part so much! When it comes to Sheldon's attitude to women I definitely preferred him in the early seasons.

I felt he was so open-minded and had no moral judgments and it was refreshing. When he started dating Amy they've made him into this typical jealous judgmental guy and
I hated that : ( I've made my peace with that, I can't stop loving him because of that cause I love so many other things about him, but I definitely found him more inspiring and refreshing in earlier seasons

Bold

I feel so strongly about this. My difficulty is he says the worst things “for the lolz” and gets rewarded or gets a pass. Don’t ever forget what he said to Alex, what he said to Mrs Davies, what he used to say all the time to Penny. Plumb in the centre of reactionary patriarchy is where he sits with his expressed views of “women are like sandwiches”. And he gets away with it uncontested, unrepentant and unpunished. And he gets a spin-off!

A whole other country.

There will be no lessons learnt if no one calls him out on his bad behaviours.

Who's Ruchi again?

Sheldon working with the military? Does it have anything to do with the project or something totally unrelated?

Well sheldon did try to take credit for Leonards idea so i guess we shouldn't be surprised that he willing to screw his friends over whenever he gets a chance

He just gets worst as a human being every week. Continuity out the window. I guess sheldon has learnt how to keep a secret and knows what he is doing. I hope Leonard & Howard come up with a plan with Barry to give him a taste of his own medicine. But that's highly unlikely.

Well they have thrown cannon completly out the window when it comes to Sheldon. I guess majority of the audience prefer him earlier on. I prefered him first two seasons. After that he started I just think the writing declined, as they do in most sitcoms. He became less dead pan. And more "Becoming a real boy" narrative. That is fine, but throwing cannon out the window with no real explanation is confusing. I have never understood why people "love" Sheldon. I have never been a fan of his character. But he was so unique first three seasons. Arguably the most unique character in TV history. So the problem I have with him "growing". IS you would expect correction of behaviour now. But most of the time he does the same selfish things. To the point it is asinine now. Of course his friends continuing to enable his behaviour is a problem too. Example last season with Christopher Llyod. I thought it was outrageous what Sheldon did. Even more so Lenny let him get away with it. The way Sheldon slut shammed Penny in 10.04. Stuff like that.

As for the plot. Well Sheldon did take credit for Leonard's idea. So he has a history of shafting his friends. I doubt Leonard and Howard well get revenge though.

Does anyone else think the Penny part of the episode is another glaringly obvious hint as to what's coming for Lenny?

Just wondering if Kaley might have told TPTB that she is trying for a baby and the writers are laying the groundwork in case it happens. Just a random thought.

She was in a horse show jumping competition this past weekend, so that's highly unlikely.

Serious question: is that contra-indicated for a healthy first time mother? She won’t likely overheat I’d think, and, for instance, throwing yourself downstairs doesn’t necessarily cause what people sometimes hope for. Is a fall from a horse otherwise more dangerous than it normally is? Assuming all else is ok, is horse riding something to avoid, more than say wine, cigars and cigarettes?

Or maybe it is an indicator. I don’t know.

(looking for knowledge, not gossip so much :) )

I am a student nurse. I just started this fall, so my knowledge in obstetrics is quite limited. I'd say both are equally dangerous. Assuming she falls off a horse, it can cause injuries. And in more serious cases, one of her feet is stuck on the pedal while the horse is running, effectively just dragging her. However, in either instance, I don't think falling would cause that damage to an embryo/fetus unless it causes a major injury in the mother.

Or maybe the show have decided Lenny are ready for a baby? Doesen't always have to because of real life demands.

Could be as well. I don't think Melissa was pregnant when Haley was announced.

On IG Kaley indicated that she was showing in the "high classic" meaning big jumping hurdles on some very large horses.  The riding itself isn't an issue, it's the risk of a fall while jumping... that could be could be devastating.
