There under contract. Do you believe in all the years of the show they have gotten along with everyone? Kaley faked she was happily married for awhile too. Later that was proven incorrect.

Well, you got a point there. These people are actors and if they are really good they could pretend to like each other.

On I love Lucy William Frawley and Vivan Vance hated each other Guts! Vivan Vance when she found out William Frawley was dead reportedly celebrated with a drink! another story is that Beat Arthur hated Betty White (Who confirmed Bea never like her) and once took a S*it on the floor in Betty White Dressing Room while working on the golden girls.

There are rumors that  Kaley and Mayim aren't really chumming off the set.   But these guys are professionals.

Until we hear that Kaley took a dump in Mayim dressing Room, That a castmember threw a soda can at another cast member, or that one of the cast members celebrated the passing of another cast member with good sources we should believe otherwise. There never been any stories in any articles that suggest any of the cast don't get along.

If you all can suspect that they are miserable based on an interview, I can suspect that they are unhappy in every aspect of their workplace, right?

But the happy, laughing, cheerful pictures on set, IG and the charming comments on IG pictures  would trump the doom and gloom.

But I'm done, I see what I see and you see what you see and that's fine.

No one said miserable, no one said they do not enjoy any moment at their job. People just suspect they are much less enthusiastic and engages than they used to be. All speculations of course but not that hyperbolic.

Yes, they did. Acting is a job. Not happy fun candy time in a lot of cases. Costars don't have to like each other. I'm not sure who is friends or good friends on this show and who is not, but Vivian Leigh and Clark Gable didn't get along on the Gone With the Wind set. Bruce Boxleitner and Kate Jackson didn't like each other on Scarecrow and Mrs. King. Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams didn't like each other when filming The Notebook. Lucy Lui and Bill Murray didn't like each other when doing the reboot of Charlie's Angels. Claire Danes and Leonardo DeCaprio didn't like each other when they were making Romeo and Juliet. Glee stars Lea Michele and Naya Rivera never got along. On Star Wars Anthony Daniels and Kenny Baker didn't get along. The TV show Moonlighting is famous for how badly Cybill Shepherd and Bruce Willis got along. There are lots more examples. Personal lives often have nothing to do with acting jobs.

Yes, i found friends dull and unfunny

Same, I think I only ever watched a couple at most. Truth be told I am not a huge Seinfeld fan either.

My favorite US Sitcom at that time was probably Frasier, I can still watch it now (they show repeats every day over in the UK) and it's just as funny as I remembered it.

I've seen a ton of Friends cause it was part of the regular evening sitcom block on telly here. It was okay but I never became a fan. It was more like background noise during supper. There are sure shows that age like fine wine but there are also some that age line a bunch of old grapes and Friends is firmly in the latter category for me. I've seen a few reruns recently and dear god is it awful. Truly a product of its time and unwatchable with a modern mind set.

I don't think there is a point of comparing different sitcoms and making claims abput their quality because other than in extreme cases where most will share an opinion, everybody will make different claims according to their taste.

(I liked Friends by the way, and while I love Lenny, Mondler are my all times favorite sitcom couple. I did think Ross and Rachel were overrated, I didn't root for them that much... They only had a one season relationship and than an episode or two a season for many many years... Lenny, a couple which people like to compare to R&R, have been together for most of the series run.)

I in turn was never a huge fan of Frasier. I would watch it and found it alright, I just wouldn't go out of my way and put it on my "must see" list.  Glad that you still find it funny and can enjoy it (as I do Seinfeld).  There are some comedies that don't age as well as far as jokes/laughs go.  It will be interesting to see how TBBT does on that score after it has finished its first run episodes.....

I love Friends, it is my favorite American Sitcom.

Maybe because it was the first American show I've ever watched, our English teacher from Junior High let us watch it to learn English, so I have some deep feelings about it.

Up until now, I've watched the whole 236 episodes more than 30 times...

Trust me I know acting isn't that as you describe. It hard work and you have to work with people you may not like and be professional.  I took Acting in High School and was in two Plays.

Actually, I think ALL of the cast members are not into the show like they use to be or once were. It just not fresh to them anymore and why would it be after 11 Seasons? I think  Jim would rather be back on Broadway then still doing this show.  I can see why none of them would be as enthusiastic in Season 11 as they were in season 3 and 4.

Frankly, I think CBS wanted the last 2 Seasons more. But at the same time Johnny, Kaley and Jim took a pay cut so clearly there was still some small interest.  But I think they all know they won't have a career after TBBT ends  They are to typecasted now especially Jim.

Yeah, it's a shame that we never get any pictures of them smiling and laughing on set any more.

LOL

There are personal perceptions of how J/K feel and there are pictures from rehearsals, tape nights and IG that tell another story.

Think everyone is judging them from their interview before the first episode was filmed. True, they did seem unenthusiastic about their characters but I don't think that was a real indication of how they feel. And is is true that some of their pics from BTS probably give a more accurate perception. I think in that interview they kind of knew they were not in the A storylines so they did not look like they generated much interest. Hopefully, the coming episodes will provide them with better storylines.

True CBS and WB wanted these  11 and 12 seasons because they are still making big money with them.  Kaley , Johnny and Jim took paycuts supposedly to give Mayim and Melissa pay raises. And as far as them being typecast is probably a real problem for them and that is why all three have inked production deals with WB so they can pick and choose what they want to do after TBBT has ended and not be only offered the stereotype role they are famous for.

I can't agree Friends is awful today. I still watch it and love it. But then again I Think this is down to preferences. TBBT most of the time is god awful too. SO I Don't see any difference their. Friends even today is still hugely popular. I guess with any popular show their is a side who are bound to hate it. It is funny because how many people hate TBBT because of its popularity? Hmmm. OF course if it wasen't for that "God Awful" Friends. Their would be no TBBT.

The actors have moved on over ten years doing different things in their lives. There probably isn't as much in common to talk about outside work as there once was. We used to read about how they met up and socialised with one another during the summer. I'd be surprised, with all their differing interests and activities taking them in other directions now, if they did that very often, if at all, any more. It doesn't mean they don't get on.

I think it is Johnny and Kaley who more look disenchanted with the show from interviews I have seen. They don't seem enthuiastic. But then again can you blame them. They don't seem all that priority to the TPTB.

I agree with first part but I think it has more to do with the show being on for so long. I thank the other 5 are also not into the show as much as they use to be either. None of them are as enthusiastic about the show as they were in Season 6. I do agree that a lot of them have moved on now and doing other things, and have other interests. Melissa is about to become a Mother and that will be her top priority, not learning lines. Jim would rather be back on Broadway not doing a TV Show.

I think they are all bored and now and are just doing it for Fans and CBS. Which is a shame if that the only reason.  As I said before it just not fresh, exciting or new anymore.

Actors having boredom with the show that been on for so long is common.  A lot of Actors become bored with a show after been on for a long time and want to try new things which I can understand. There nothing wrong with that.

I think they all want to do different things now.  I think they are all burned out to be honest.

At the risk of appearing to be a little cynical, IMO they are mainly doing it for the money.

Not cynical. Seems a jolly good reason to me. Haven't we all worked at things we'd rather not be doing because the money's worth it ?

Well you are right that lot of people keep doing a job even if they hate it because the Money pays well.

While I agree that all of them are not that into it anymore I can see why some speculate that the decline in enthusiasm is more pronounced in J&K.

And that is probably one of the factors that JG hesitated about on signing a new contract. Also it seems Kaley probably wants to ride her horses and be with her boyfriend. Just saw an interview with her on Show Jumping Life where she stated that horse jumping is her no.1 passion right now and when TBBT is ended she wants to pursue an equestrian career. Not hard to see that her BF has something to do with that. So it is possible her enthusiasm has subsided.

So, I'm assuming that this is a newer photo... After all, they're standing in front of the comic-book store set, which wasn't featured in "The Proton Regeneration." I wonder if Wil is back for a December episode centered on the new Star Wars movie or a follow-up to his new role as Professor Proton.
