PAmydette is one of my favourite groupings on the show because I find them genuinely funny (much funnier than the guys). As with every episode of the show you just rate it storyline by storyline, pairing by pairing, individual by individual.

Just calling it how I see it and what I personally enjoy seeing. Of course if we get a few girls only storylines that I think are poor it may change my mind. But as I know they are usually good I wouldn't mind seeing more of those types of stories.

I also like to see the girl sprouts in action again, purely out of scientific interest, of course.

As for impendments go sure. But the thing is, Penny did date a good looking handsome man, who was also smart. And was into sports and long walks on the beach, who she could of meet at a coffee shop or the movies. Who could of had a several episode arch e.t.c. David Underhill. And look how that turned out. He turned out to be excuse my french. A A Hole. Penny fell for Leonard because yeah sure he was not like most guys haha. But he intellectually challenged her like most guys could not. And sure the show can write what they want. But Penny is not just a concept, she is also a character with meany variables. And this is the story the show wants to tell. And kudos to them for not succumbing to "fan service" and sticking to the great Leonard and Penny love story.

It's not like most viewers are/were Shennys... The internet fandom is not representative. Those who wanted to make their uncommon wishes come true turned to writing fanfics and making websites. I looked at the Friends fics and saw fics with pairings I wouldn't imagine. Doesn't mean these were common ships among viewers.

Well of course I was just pointing out TPTB had a story they wanted to tell with Lenny. And i am glad they stuck with it. I always thought Shenny was just an internet creation too. And not representive of the entire TBBT fanbase. OF course fantasys are perfect for Fan Fic e.t.c.

On the basis of the L/P love story as earlier presented, I feel latterly that I have been the subject of a bait and switch con. Heheh. And Shamy isn’t a substitute. On the evidence the Howard & Bernie relationship seems to me to be most authentic at the moment. Looking forward (he says wryly) to Shert.

It certainly has been a bait and switch. And IMO a very bad one.

It's not the only way but they usually are good scenes and storylines when they are together. Two of my top 5 episodes had that kind of setup. They rarely seem to get it wrong IMO in terms of writing and the acting is usually top notch. I recall this very forum effusing praise in recent years when Penny/Amy/Bernadette are together.

Haven't seen that type of storyline this season so far and that may be limited by Melissa's reduced workload and then maternity leave this season.

To me there hit or miss. Effusing praise? There are other storylines I rather see. A Penny or Lenny storyline for example. I’m sure I’m not  alone. Although I take any storyline that gives Sheldon only a couple minutes of airtime in an episode.

The joke is that it plays out as a sort of affair story - nothing sexual but rather Sheldon "cheating" on Lady Physics. How scandalous! lol

Yah well I don't know. It does not seem to work as he is not doing it.

I think the point was it did not necessarily have to be that way. Well maybe it did. Otherwise the is no BBT (like the anthropogical principle).

She doesn't need the other girls to have a meaningful storyline.

One thing I would like the writers to do something with is Penny's job , we have gotten several plots over the years about her unhappy job situation, but nothing has ever happen with it,so please writers could we finally give the poor woman something she is excited about.

They could start with a new apartment building but that is not going to happen either.

Well... but solving Penny's employment situation is waaaaaaaaaaaaay simpler than filming in a new apartment building, and therefore changing all the sets.

The Penny/Amy/Bernadette dynamic imo has been played out and is passe. IT is more hit and miss these days I agree.

I must say I love when Penny  wears adorable hair style like that!

I'm glad someone is happy about it. I think it's the stupidest hairstyle she's had since she got the pixie cut.

But babies were first mentioned by Leonard in the first episode after meeting Penny. I know to many the smart and beautiful babies line means nothing. JMO though it means a lot to most Lenny fans and it leaves a bitter taste in their mouths.

And Sheldon came right back at him that they would be imaginary. Why put more credence in what Leonard said than Sheldon? Just curious at this comes up all the time.

The punchline of a lot of jokes with him is the more or less subtle suggestion that he could also be into guys.

And the punchline for a lot of jokes about Leonard are about how he wore Penny down, and the punchline for a lot of jokes about Penny are that she's got a drinking problem and she was a bully and slutty as a younger girl and sometimes they don't even have the decency to make them subtle. Not everyone buys that certainly. So why does everyone have to buy the jokes about Raj? I never saw him have a sexual reaction to any other man and if anyone did I'd like them to tell me so I can go back and rewatch.

Might be because Leonard's comment was brought up again (by someone other than Leonard, and in a way that suggested it's been brought up, off camera by Leonard more than that one time), and Sheldon's comment hasn't been brought up again.

I am not happy , I just thought it was funny. There are  many stupid things from the show which are greetly loved  among fans and I hate them. It is fair enough, I guess.

Sorry I misunderstood you. Yes, fair enough. If other people like things I don't, it's fine.

I thought it was funny too.  Playful whimsy. I doubt it will come up like that frequently.

As for the "our babies well be smart and beautiful". Sheldons words hold no creedence in comparison to Leonards words. Because the idea of it has been brought up several times over the past 11 seasons. So what Sheldon said was just intended to be a set up joke, that is all.

As for Penny's hair style. Hey she has length that is all that matters lol.

That was Sheldons dream. Although I think. most guys would of preferred Penny handcuffed to the wall.

Not me. I like that Penny has been about as sexy as TBBT could contain without a hint of sleaze.

I find it odd that the official YouTube channel hasn't uploaded the 30-second promo or any sneak peeks for "The Tesla Recoil." I suppose that it could be due to Veteran's Day and that someone may be getting to it early this week, but still... Sometimes, videos are uploaded almost immediately after the previous episode has aired, while other times, it's a day or two prior to the actual episode airing on CBS.

Well, when I examine the totality of the statements made by Sheldon, my overall assessment is that he is generally less credible than those around him.

His whackiness is the basis of the show. It’s not like his schtick is about speaking truth to power. To some degree his role is to say those things said by drunk uncles at family gatherings  - to get a laugh in the context of the show.

As to prophetic powers - who knows. But Sheldon’s opinions - which is what he was expressing at the time - are generally and by design completely whack.

As evidence I refer you to.... the show. Pick any episode for examples. :)

Edit: carve out physics. That’s not opinion.
