[Spoilers] Season 11 Discussion Thread

The writers change their minds all the time, he might rule out anymore pregnancy storylines but easily change his mind say next season.

I actually agree that perhaps back to back seasons of pregnancies was too much and the possibility of three seasons of pregnancy storylines would be even more of an issue. But in a way it makes sense at the stage of their lives they are at that they might be having children so if Penny or Amy were to get pregnant I would understand the logic behind it. Amy especially considering she is much older than Penny, and even though there is an increasing trend of women having children later there is a point when trying to conceive a child does become more difficult as you are older. Amy is in her late thirties and heading towards her 40's don't forget.

I've been a believer for years that we will get some kind of flash forward scenes for every character/couple involving them and their children in the final ever episode. Holland's comments IMO make that more likely.

I have to take what he said as truth. This is Sheldon Cooper, the man can't lie without being caught.

Then he had to have been telling the truth about why he loved Amy. It goes both ways.

Steve Holland weighs in on Lenny pregnancy and sheds light on tonight's baby name choice:

The most interesting part for me was:
But while “The Neonatal Nomenclature” found both couples discussing their own parental aspirations, showrunner Steve Holland tells TVLine it’s unlikely the series will deliver another baby plot anytime soon. “It’s too early to talk about what happens next season,” he says, “but we’ve now done two seasons of pregnancy stories and, for me, that’s probably enough.”
Because that is how I feel.  I was not enthused about Howardette's kids and I do not want anymore.

Does anybody know Amy's age? I don't remember them ever mentioning it (then again, we had a main character with no last name for 8 years LOL).

You're not reading what I wrote. I never said he didn't love Amy, obviously he does. I was saying the reason for the Christmas present wasn't bought out of love for Amy, it was to teach her a lesson about not getting presents. But, as I also said his plan backfired on him!

I think she's somewhere between Leonard and Sheldon.

Personally, I have no such hope for Mr. Holland's abilities.

She is my favourite character and I honestly don't know her exact age lol.  I just assumed she is of similar age to Sheldon and Leonard who are not that far off 40.

'The Big Bang Theory' Season 11 Episode 16 Recap: Bernadette Gives Birth to a Baby Boy

I like just about everything the Glamour recap said because it's what I thought the showrunners must be thinking. It's nice to know my instincts were correct.

They even mentioned Raj's hair.

Oh god, that sounds ridiculously boring.

Different strokes for different folks. I know a lot of WWII reenactors who adore it. I never played it when I was reenacting, but I know plenty of people who did.

Thank you. No one who is the age I was in that picture can look really nice in Rosie coveralls, but that reenactor I'm with is R.J. Lindsey and he is wonderful as FDR. He also does Thomas Edison and he's studying right now to play George Eastman and plans to do programs on the history of Kodak.

I didn't think of Sheldon as a history buff, but the people who play that game REALLY get into it.

*A funny picture, indeed. (Sorry for removing the illustrated part, but I don't like to scroll endlessly in my browser at the same content.)

As a German, I'd rather wave the white flag like Penny did so well. :icon_cheesygrin:

TBH, nowadays, I wouldn't be surprised at anything Sheldon does/can do, the writers would make him do anything just to get a laugh.

That being said, I liked the board game plot, the more the merrier, please.

I think somebody once made a quick caIcuIation based on a Iine in S 5, in The Vacation SoIution,  where she said she had been training for x years (I don't remember exactIy how many) in the fieId of biology. From there, it turns out she shouId be 35/36 years oId now, a coupIe of years younger than SheIdon

Here's why there's the 5th fIoor as a set for the next episode

Any scoop on what will transpire on The Big Bang Theory this spring? —Mario
Although it seems as if Leonard, Penny, Sheldon and Amy are the only residents of their multi-story, elevator-challenged apartment building, the fact is they do have other neighbors. And we’ll meet a few of them in an upcoming episode. “Sheldon and Leonard are vying for the head of the Tenants’ Association,” showrunner Steve Holland teases of the plot. “And Leonard has to go knock on some apartment doors to do some politicking.”

Is this the tenure episode revisited? The only thing redeemable would be Penny's black dress. I'm sure veejay has that picture.

And you wonder why some people want the show to end

Actually I love the red dress from the Valentine Day dinner disaster.

What the hell happened to Penny? She went from dressing cute and nice to plaid shirts and loose jeans. Is that her choice or TPTB trying to make her look ordinary?

Nothing wrong with plaid shirts, you really can’t expect her to run around in skimpy  tanktops all the time.

I always asumed she was a few years younger than Sheldon.

I think Shamy need more time to be prepared for a child. Maybe they could have Amy freeze eggs? That would be realistic and they could get some funny and sweet moments out of it.

Keeping with the realistic line - I like the sound of the new plot and I'm glad we're seeing some tenants, as it feels like a deserted building. I think Leonard would be great, actually I would prefer both Leonard and Penny, but Sheldon could use the elevator card. That would definitely turn everybody against Leonard.
