And also older age and a stable, loving relationship.

I'd put an anything can happen Thursday (although it's probably not Thursday for anyone here right now) gif for you but I'm weak on the gifs.

As am I with the gifs and right now it would be anything  can happen Friday here in good ole Milton, Florida.

Can actually say that I never saw a moment of Blossom.  It just was not on my radar.  Also the same for 8 Simple Rules.  Being a big Kaley fan, I am shamed to say I still have not seen a second of the show.

I did however watch Roseanne back in the day and was a huge fan of the David character.  I also love, love, love, love the movie Garden State and nearly lost it on Sept. 24, 2007 and I saw Jim as Sheldon.  My wife has memories of my screaming "it's the guy in the suit of armor from Garden State" along with "ha!!  get it??  Sheldon and Leonard....like Sheldon Leonard?  You know, Nick from It's a Wonderful Life???" (she would have no clue if I tried to explain how he was a huge TV producer.  The It's a Wonderful Life reference was much more relatable for her).  She in turn rolled her eyes in the perfect Penny Hofstadter manner......

It's a real shame, cause it is actually a pretty good show in my opinion. The episode when John Ritter dies was pretty touching  to be honest.

I think you're right. I think that's what they're going for, but on one level it bugs me. Personally I think it's time to be done with the idea that Penny can't cope or have a good time unless there's a bottle of wine in front of her. They even had one in front of her at Bernie's house when they were waiting for the baby to be born. And the big Lenny moment this season involved her having to be drunk to express her feelings for Leonard. Penny supposedly having a drinking problem is not funny anymore. I can't believe I'm the only one who's tired of the Penny drinking jokes. I can see them taking Amy out for drinks for her shower, but that's a special case.

If they ever have Penny get pregnant (this might be a longshot) I know there will be endless jokes about Penny's abstinence from drinking and that would really get old in a hurry.

I personally think 8 Simple Rules ended with the death of John Ritter. It just wasn't the same without him. They still had a marvelous cast, but it just wasn't the same.

Yeah.you know Sheldon can't lay off the drinking remarks toward Penny.

You're absolutely right, the show wasn't the same without John Ritter.

Oh yes, the writers would never miss an opportunity like that, the non drinking jokes would be endless.

I love James Garner, but John Ritter was better at the father figure. Plus John was the Dad and James was the Granddad.

The Blossom episode with Johnny and Mayim is one of the only ones I watched all the way through. I was not a huge fan of Blossom although I watched a bit at the end.

You may not have been a fan of Blossom (and I am not either. It was an okay show had some good moments but nothing really memorable and no Epsidoes stick out in my minds when I think about the show. It was nothing special) and that just fine but it doesn't change the fact that Mayim is the most experience of actor of the 7 Cast Members on the show.

She is the only one who has had her own show where her character was the title character and the main focal point of most episodes. Her character was the lead Character and most episodes revolve around Blossom. The show was from her point of view  IMO that makes her the most experience. She also appeared on some well-known shows before and after. Johnny has only ever until Big Bang Theory played either a Recurring Guest or Guest star on most shows.  Even on Roseanne, he was only a Recurring Character though he should have been promoted to Cast Member.  The two shows he did prior to Roseanne he was not a lead character only supporting but both lasted only 13Episodes.

Well, do what I do, record them and fast forward past the Shamy stuff.

Even if I don't think I'll enjoy an episode, I still watch it.

I might skip it when rewatching, when I've get he DVDs, but I always watch it the first time.

I've been saying that for years. The writers would not be able to resist jokes about her not being able to drink and probably about getting fat, too.

I never said she wasn't. I totally agree with you.

After 11 years, I don't think it matters who is the most experienced.

Actually, prior to TBBT, the most experienced was Kaley.  She had 251 episodes (in 23 series) of television series appearances, compared to 187 (28) for Mayim and 139 (15) for Johnny(although, by the time Mayim started with TBBT, Johnny and Kaley both had another 63 episodes, so Kaley was over 300 and Johnny over 200.  Johnny had 25 movies  and TV movies, compared to 16 for Kaley and 4 for Mayim.  All three were tied in the "Other" category (videos, games, shorts).

Also, prior to TBBT, the only cast member to appear on Broadway was  Johnny, in "Little Dog Laughed."

But, as Chucky said, it really doesn't matter at this point.

1

So Kaley was the most experienced prior to TBBT then Mayim with Johnny in third. However, if we go by when their career started Mayim and Johnny would be tied as both started acting in 1987

But yes you right as Chucky said It really doesn't matter after 11 Years on on 1 Show (now 7 years for Mayim) but in some ways it still does.  But I am not the one who originally brought it up.

I've found the exchange about who had how much experience and what it had to do with the order in which names were mentioned informative. I have watched American shows from time to time over many years without realising until reading these posts that the names coming up over the scenes were anything to do with billing. I'd noticed the order of names wasn't alphabetical but that was about it. Since before the internet I didn't know which names related to which character, they didn't mean much at all. I remember thinking Kelsey Grammar played Roz and Peri Gilpin played Martin.

I have always thought and still do think that Kelsey is a weird name to give a Boy.

Names are in the eye of the parents. I've always thought North West was a lousy name.

Saint, North and Chicago, Kardashians, what can you expect?

Sometimes, I wonder if these entertainment stars even consider their kids future time in school before they name them. Kim and Kanye West should have their heads examined. Just think of all the shrink bills their kids will have after their classmates gets through laughing at them.

But still Mayim was the only one with a titular role (is that a word?).

This is far more important that a few guest appearances the others did.

Kaley's and Johnny's roles were hardly guest roles.  See Tensor's post approx 5 hrs ago.

I thought they already used this joke in that episode which Sheldon said Penny was drinking water instead of wine so he thought she was pregnant, and at that very scene, Penny was drinking wine......
