I also love Howard and Bernie tags...they make me laugh also.

I wouldn't mind some Lenny tags as long as they were amusing...they are usually not doing anything different or entertaining to me.

JMO but the tags are typically the worst part of the show. Maybe because Lenny is never in them?

I respect your opinion... I think they are not well written and to me come off as just an other couple. Nothing really unique about their reationship. I think I prefer stronger personalities.

We each like what we like.

Agreed. I like all tags if they're funny. This is supposed to be a comedy.

There is no justifying his actions, except in the mind of the writers. Someday the writers will realize that not every part of an episode needs to be funny. The writers seem to have to insert Sheldon in every aspect of the episode.

Well, you can thank those glorious writers. If Lenny tried to do something funny, it would take away from their precious Sheldon.

Leonard and Penny first six seasons had the most funniest tags from this series. But I Think the writers have moved on.

I don't think Martin was offended. Getting married at the vet's I daresay was not the worst thing that had happened to him in his lifetime as a soldier and a police detective. I am sure vets have delivered babies before too, but perhaps not so often in a big city. The manure lorry no doubt ruined it for the guests who'd been looking forward to a meal and who'd suddenly lost their appetite.

Okay, this is random and stupid, but...when I found out that James Maslow was going to be in 11x20 I made a connection that no one has mentioned yet. (I'm going to reveal just how young I really am) 

Context: in 1966 there was a show called The Monkees that starred a band of the same name. My parents introduced us to it  when we were little. It was hokey but  a lot of fun and the music was strangely good. (my family owns the cd album and we watched the DVDs) 

So naturally when nickelodeon made a "modern" version of the show in 2009 (Big Time Rush) with the same hokey humor and silliness, I enjoyed watching it. Especially since the show came out when I was still in elementary school and then lasted till I finished middle school. 

James Maslow played the "pretty boy" of the band Big Time Rush (which was a short lived real life band) in the show. Honestly I enjoyed his character a lot. I thought he was funny. 

It was stupid, but (for me) fun stupid. 

so yeah just a little history on the guest star. It'll be interesting to see him in something else.

As one of the oldsters here I would have watched the Monkeys when I was a youngster. Never watched The Big Time Rush. Don't recall hearing of it before.

I was a teenager when The Monkees were on British TV. I liked them.  Their craziness appealed to our sense of humour. There were only two TV channels so we didn't get as many American shows as we do now.

I've never heard of The Big Time Rush.

He reminds me of the kid who played Ned (Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide).

Steve Moloro took over as showrunner and head writer from Bill Prady in 2012 I Think it was. Actually I Think it was 2010. Alot of the best Lenny episodes were written by Prady. I have always felt when Prady stepped back the direction of the show vastly changed. I am course not blaming Moloro for a decline in quality. But it was noticeble. Since Holland took over as showrunner, been a noticeable change.

Somebody has to take the blame. Either it's the show runner, writers or both. I refuse to blame the actors. They do the best they can with what they have to work with these days.

I still like the show. But yes, I would like to say, every time you see a character overplays a plain but one-dimensional flaw, blame the writers, not the actors.

I’m sooooo old! I never heard of James Maslow or Big Time Rush!!! It sounds like this was just a gew years after my daughter was into such things, so it even escaped me there!  I was the prime age for the Monkees however and loved them and the silliness!! Just to bring things full circle: one of the Monkees biggest hits was “I’m a Believer” (Yes I know from Shrek!!!) which was written by Neil Diamond!!! Thanks for the connection @Jedichic98 !!!!!

IMO Howard and Raj added a lot and so did Kaley as Penny especially. I've never seen the unaired pilot but wow; yes, that is shocking about Sheldon.

I totally agree   And i think the worst tag scene was in the episode  "Cognition Regeneration"  season 10  where Zack offers Penny a job at his company.  P&L had a tender, mature conversation about her taking the job and at the end when she says to Leonard the job was rescinded he gives her a thumbs up gesture.  The tag scene after this was Sheldon trying to walk on stilts!!  This wasn't even relevant to the story.  But the worst part I believe was when I read that they cut P&L final scenes where they hug and kiss after she talks with Zack. I also read in the bts that after the scene Johnny picked up and hugged Kaley. Maybe this scene meant a little more to them with their history.

You know, now a days they can't show Lenny as a happy couple. They aren't as bad as previous years, but still no real loving gestures except for the occasional cheek kiss. Any affection between Lenny would take away from Shamy and they can't have that.
