Didn't say they were.

I don't see this as a 'Lenny' issue actually.  It's a Leonard issue, to me.

You did make an assumption, be it about Lennys, Leonard fans, or those who don't think Leonard will do anything for sex. Either way, I am one of those and I'm female.

The problem would be that Leonard, Raj, Howard and Bernadette would have a higher IQ. That would eat at him. But, I hope I'm wrong. Just because Amy and Sheldon both have high IQ's doesn't mean their off springs will. Look at Sheldon himself, George Sr and Mary weren't exactly the sharpest tools in the shed.  :sarcastichand:

We don't know about Raj, Howard and Bernadette. You don't have to be a genius to do well academically.

I thought I read somewhere in a story about TBBT that it was a show with 4 geniuses and a beautiful neighbor. That was years ago and can't remember where I read it.It wasn't a fan fiction story since I have just started reading them 2 or 3 years ago.The story I'm talking about was a newspaper on story.

These newspaper descriptions are not always 100% reliable. While it has been established that Leonard and Sheldon are genuises, there wasn't anything on the show to indicate that was true of the others.

Sheldon has never shown interest in kids on the show. His sisters birth for example. Him wanting kids IMO is totally OOC.

He talked about having kids with Amy since the episode with their first date in it.

Since I didn't hear a Bazinga, it wasn't a joke.

They haven't had him say Bazinga in a long time. I'm not sure how long.

Don't you want to see Leonard and Penny sitting around on a couch in their house in a scene with their 'smart and beautiful babies' around them doing something sciency or brainy for example?

Honestly, no. I don't have to see anyone's kids. ANYONE.

I know people say they have wanted a big family but when they finally have a child they change their mind and only have another one or two at most.

I can see that happening with Shamy lol

Me, too. My husband always said he wanted six but we wound up with four.

They say becoming a father can change you a lot and I am not a parent myself, but I would imagine Sheldon will love his kids no matter what they are like

I know many people who didn't like other people's kids but loved their own.

This is true and you certainly don’t need to be a genius to be a neuroscientist (and whatever the other two are) but you do need to be very smart and dedicated to your field.

Agree with all of these.

I can't remember the last time Sheldon said "Bazinga" I think it was season 6 or 7.  I believe he hasn't done the knocking thing in a few seasons either

My Dad wanted 10 Kids but My Mom said no way and had 4 lol

You are very right on the last point! There lots of People who don't like other People Kids but love their own. Bernadette is a good example of this I think.  She doesn't like other People Kids but she loves her own!

The first time was to better mankind. Had nothing to do with wanting kids. Every time discussed there was a joke at the end. Never discussed in private with each other that I remember.

i know some who don't like either. Only reason the number of kids were discussed was because of Bernadette and the 15 comment.

Unpopular opinion but I wish Bernadette was never pregnant. Mel has played it beautifully. But kinda takes the novelty away of it. Let's be honest the only pregnancy majority of the audience care about is Pennys.

As far as Sheldon wanting kids with Amy. They always established in cannon Sheldon was againgst Procreation. He always said I think the show made as a joke to better mankind. Shamy barley discuss kids in private. Lenny have more private discussion about kids. And obviously the foundation of Penny being pregnant is "our babies we'll be smart and beautiful". Despite being a set up joke.

Really?  What data do you have?

Let's be honest. This is not true. I know many people that love that Howard has both a wife and children now and think it was a great way to show character growth for him. I know even more people that would like to see a Shamy pregnancy as it would be bound be unique with such characters as Sheldon and Amy as parents. (I am not one of them, as I have zero desire for anymore imaginary babies on the show even Shamy's)  Believe it or not Lenny is NOT the only popular couple on the show.

I am not even sure if Lenny has discussed having children all that seriously. Anytime the subject has come up she doesn't sound all that into it.

True and there is nothing wrong with that decision. But Shamy clearly do want children at some point.

I don't know. I get the impression they want to "have had" brilliant children.

Not so sure they want to "have" them. Well especially Sheldon. After all children don't stay mint in box like the other things he "has".

OH MY GOD! When did another couple become popular?

So surely the majority of the audience do not just care about a Lenny pregnancy...they wish this for all the couples.

Are you sure? Do you have data to back up that statement, or is that just an opinion?

I have never expected to see one outside of dream sequences. So actually I just don't care rather than not just care.

This is stated as a supposition...

Oh My God. So let me get this right, cause I don't want to be wrong. You make a statement and it's a fact, but our statements are suppositions. Well my friend, show me some data that supports your statement, if not then it's just an opinion, not fact! Oh yeah, I'm going to bed, good night! :icon_cheesygrin:

Again I see no evidence of this. They are in for a rude awakening sure but then everyone is when they become parents, nothing quite prepares you for it I've been told.

Parenthood will quickly change any preconceptions they had and they will still find it life changing in the best possible way.

I didn't make a statement, I challenged/remarked on statements made by others.

Wrong, Sheldon would happily share the attention with the smart and beautiful baby.

Seriously, peopIe have babies for all sorts of trivial reasons so I'm not sure why Shamy's need to be put under such scrutiny. I don't know anyone who wants to have kids for the wholesome experience of changing diapers and sleepless nights. lol

Ironically enough one of the most common tips for successfully dealing with babies is putting them on a regular schedule which is something that Shamy would probably feel they can manage better than anybody. Especially Sheldon would be so into that. haha
