I don't think so. I believe once TBBT ends, the ratings for YS will go down . I know you disagree, but that's what I personally think.

I can't stand YS personally. But I believe that the powers that be believe it is what's going to matter later on. And I think that's what matters sometimes in how the show is written.

Of course! Young Girls in the TV Biz do tend to look up to men like that as sort of a father figure and someone they can trust and feel safe around

Melissa Gilbert & Michael Landon and  Keshia Knight Pulliam & Bill Cosby are two examples that come to mind

They tend to gravitate towards men like that

I guess Keisha didn't know Cosby was a rapist.

I don't think it has the staying power TBBT and without it's support of leading it, will lose followers and the ratings will go down.

In the interviews, I listened to after Paleyfest Jim

seemed (to me) the most optimistic about the show going in.  He is also the only one with a business relationship with YS.  It seems to me that ending TBBT is kind of risky for those with money on Ys.

Okay. I found the episode pretty funny. Not top ten or anything but quite "amusing".  The girls were very funny. Penny and Bernadette reallly tried to give Amy a bachelorette party that she would like. Their enthusiasm for sewing and quilting and even tea (!) was really funny. That they were sitting on the couch happily having a cupp'a (one of our Brit members help me with that spelling!) while Amy was seething at the sewing machine got me laughing pretty loudly!!! AND that it was Bernadette "chatting up" the bartender was hilarious! (So glad that they are continuing to not "go there" with the easy jokes with the Penny character). The pictures they had were funny as well!

The plot with the guys was good too, just not quite as funny. Peter MacNicol was perfect as a sort of "uber Sheldon" giving Dr Cooper a glimpse of what could be. Loved Leonard sitting there studying the notes and thinking about the math, showing this viewer his genius abilities in a quiet, understated way.

To make a long post longer, an enjoyable episode that brought some smiles, even without any real moments between my favorite couple.

I can only agree with your summary! A small, possibly unexpected addition coming from my side: Amy (Mayim)! She was outstanding for me in this funny episode. :shy:

Glad someone thought it was funny. It wasn't the worst episode, but it was no where near the best and I had a couple of smiles and a chuckle.

I think the girls storyline was funnier and I expected it would be. Kaley, Mayim and Melissa are just FANTASTIC together, I've said for years they could hypothetically one week have an episode with just them in it and they could absolutely pull it off. You won't find many better comedy trios than them on TV right now.

The guys story was I thought just as good but in a different kind of way, it wasn't really comedy (apart from that fantastic Tomato line delivered by Johnny) but it was something deeper. But the friendship I thought was strong there with the guys as well, but the story just had a different tone to it.

Two very different themes but I enjoyed them both :)

Yes! I didn’t mean to slight Amy she was hilarious as well. The tag scene (again, Sheldon but that is expected with thisvepisode, but can we have several without him, please—-sorry interjection/rant done) was very, very funny! Mayim has a face she makes as Amy when she is concentrating and maybe unfamiliar with something (I’m thinking when she appears on Fun With Flags) and she played that perfectly when doing her version of Riverdance! Hilarious!

I also want to take a moment to mention Melissa. It is so good to have her back on camera again. This episode proved how vital she is to the cast. We all know about the “breakout star” and the legion of Mayim and Kaley admirers, but this is really an ensemble with each of the 7 main cast members (and some of the recurring cast: Kevin, Wil, Laurie, Christine, et al) so important  to this thing that I’ve been addicted to for 11+ years!

I am so happy for you. I myself was disappointed, although I did like the girls part.

I agree with most of your points, it just didn't make laugh much :) Glad you enjoyed it though.

Agree.

And both plot threads worked better because there was not a THIRD plot thread, as there too often is.  So, scenes were a spot longer and it didn't seem like watching clips of a longer show.

She never failed to say how much she liked and respected John Ritter.

And I think because she was young ( 16-17) he protected her and advised her on the people behind the scenes (casting directors, producers, etc.)  who could have taken advantage of her.

She had been acting for a while, so she should have know a lot, more than likely John Ritter just enforced those tendencies and helped prepare her for her future in the business.

John Ritter had been on TV A lot longer than she (who was only 17) had and had way more Acting expenses so he knew more than her. It doesn't matter how long you been in the business there always someone who been there longer who will teach you something new or advise you on something or give you advice. And when you are 17 an actor in their 50s who were around for 30 years or so usually knows more than you.

So Kaley probably learned some new thin form John and Katey she didn't know before

Three's Company never aired there. It really doesn't' matter if it was before your time  Anyway that the role he is most remembered for. His most famous role

Yeah I know, I just meant for me personally in terms of his work that I've actually seen that episode is what I will remember him for. Of course if I end up seeing any of his other work then that would change :)
