Obi-Wan appears as Alec Guinness and he is not available. Luke is now the mentor (and perhaps Yoda who could be done).

Could be the Obi-Wan from episode 1, 2, and 3. :icon_cheesygrin:

Wait a minuet, MOH Amy kept telling people that Bernadette wedding day was her special day. So that makes Amy's wedding day Penny's special day.:icon_cheesygrin:

As long as Amy gets "the way you look tonight" as her song.

To me it looks like most of the guest stars are for sheldons benefit poor Amy may be on the outside looking in on her special day

So your assumption is that none of these people were cast as Amy's parents?

It may be like others have said, and Amy will be at the reception saying, there's my aunt, cousin, and so on.
So you also think Amy will spend most of the episode with her friends and not sheldon because he will be to busy with the guest stars

Sure. I just doubt it. Mostly because PP has been the proxy for Obi-Wan. Now we hear Mark Hamill will be in the episode. My guess is they will change things up and have him appear as Luke as a force ghost in place of PP. It is fitting as a result of the newest movie The Last Jedi. Of course I am only guessing. He could have some other role. That is what I would most like to see as a Star Wars fan and my guess is that the writers have jumped on the new opportunity.

No, I was just repeating what others saw as a way to explain family and guests at the wedding.

This is a close knit group that has been working together for many years. I don't think that anyone "freaked out" about anything.  I think that they simply rolled with the punches and made adjustments.

Just like they did when Kaley shattered her leg.

You might ne right but we really don't know, it's just speculation.

I would have to say that it is NOT like when Kaley shattered her leg. That was a much shorter "recuperation" period not to mention that her condition was a lot less noticeable than a pregnancy is.

IMO, the adjustments they made to Melissa's real life pregnancy were the wrong ones. Again, IMO, a second Howardette pregnancy adds nothing to the overall story.

It seems pretty likely her mother has been cast/recast (I have never seen her).  Most real  celebrities play themselves.  So, It would be pretty weird if they made Teller her father but if it is funny who cares. At least he win’t Take lines away from others. My guess is Amy is the one who brings in the officiant Luke Skywalker.  I wonder how much of Sheldon’s family are in this weeks filming

No, you acting like something is a fact (that the Producers or writers freak out over Melissa getting Pregnant) when truly it not.  I know you haven't been a big fan of the writers lately

I haven't been a fan of the writers lately either, but you are totally misunderstanding what Chucky is saying. He said that in his opinion the writers freaked out, and you say that in your opinion they didn't. There is the disagreement. Neither of you (or me for that matter) knows exactly what happened so what you are saying are just that, opinions, as Chucky was correctly pointed out.

They had to cancel a taping and then she was written out of the taping that was scheduled after the canceled one. The shuffled dressing rooms and moved her downstairs to the green room.  Kaley talked about being in a wheelchair on set, about being propped up on set to get through scenes.

I don't think that they canceled any taping's for Melissa.

They didn't but had to alter the story telling of the whole show, plus Kaley's leg issue was much easier to hide than Melissa's pregnancy, had they chosen to do it. Besides that, while Melissa wasn't propped up on set she wasn't even on some episodes because of her pregnancy, so that is a bigger issue, IMO. Kaley's issue affected 2 episode. Melissa's many, many more.

I disagree with this...many on the guest list are mutual friends and co-workers of Sheldon and Amy - Wil Wheaton, Kripke, Burt and Stuart. The officiant Luke Skywalker is there for both of them as well to marry them. Sheldon has three family members - mom, brother and sister. Amy has two. A mom and a dad. To me this means Sheldon has one additional guest. I don't find it that lopsided at all.

They had 1 or 2 disasters of dates. A crush by Leonard does not make them a couple, So no Lenny. They were not a couple, they were just friends. Not even friends with benefits.

My point since my first post about Lenny was the romance has been part of the show since pilot. And I said that because it is seemed to be seen by some that romance has been only part of the show for most recent seasons. I did not say they were a couple in pilot, it would be ridiculous from my part. The truth is  romantic feelings usually develop between two people before they  are an iten.

And I guess all was said about this. From this point we might be going on circles, which is not fun for anyone.

Funny I always thought this show was about Four Eggheads navigating life on the backdrop of Geek Culture. But that is just my view.

These things are not mutually exclusive with having rom com plots though - "navigating life", as you put it, includes such pursuits. It'd be silly to pretend tv shows can't be about more than one thing at the same time and even sillier to insist eggheads shouldn't have a love life.

Not saying you said that but I often see the accusation that the romance only came with the relationships which seems weird when you look at romantic films and shows where the vast majority are exactly about that time before the characters become a couple. In fact with shows like TBBT it's one of the not so common instances where you get both parts: the dating before becoming an item and the happy ever after.

Enough wedding talk for now let's ponder the important question...

We know Penny is down with the green body paint we also know that Leonard has several star trek uniforms....

The big question is how many costumes has Penny acquired over the years and what are they? :fi_lone_ranger:

I would choose Commander Cat-Walk of the planet Venus. :shy:

Capt. Kirk on the planet of the cat women starring Leonard and Penny?

I'd watch that episode :icon_redface:

So, here is another theory....
from https://etcanada.com/news/319188/mark-hamill-to-cameo-on-big-bang-theory-season-11-finale/

Quote

But what “Star Wars” fans are really freaking out about is the wedding invite to Mark Hamill. “The Last Jedi” star will likely appear as himself, much like co-stars James Earl Jones and Carrie Fisher have in the past.
