Chrismo
JMO but George seems to have more reasons not to like Sheldon than Sheldon had reasons not to like George. George's reasons were real. Sheldon's were mostly fantasy.

Although this storyline is done mostly for YS it make Leonard IMO look good. We'll have to wait and see.

We have met Howard's brother, Penny's brother, Raj's sister and some cousins. Why can't we meet Sheldon's brother? Why would this be an issue? If they want to introduce Leonard's brother I have no issue with that. Also, this is very in character for Leonard. I don't think they go out of the way at all to make Leonard look bad. He has always been a great friend to others. Sheldon especially as they are best friends .

My issue is that for 11 years he is described one way and now that there is YS, the writers have changed him to being a caring brother. Penny's brother, Randal, started out a meth dealer, met him he had gotten better. The rest, we only know what we've seen in episodes. If there wasn't a YS, Georgie would have been as Sheldon described him. Period. 16 minutes ago, chucky said: Also, this is very in character for Leonard. My problem with the writers characterzations of Leonard is they tend to make him whiney and spineless. He's suppose to be a genius, but they write him as if his IQ is only 100 or less. To him it was having his stuff taken and trashed for no reason. I consider someone sitting on someone else's head bullying. Period.

We got that version of the Halloween incident due to George being so different in YS. If no YS, then different George and probably him not being in the episode. That is a genial trait of him imo . Being a genius is not only about work and stuff alike. Leonard has really great genial moments as a friend. I really enjoy this side of Leonard. It would be cool if it happened often about other friends of him too . Edited April 18, 2018 by spidergirl

By now, he should be able to stand up to Sheldon and tell him to get out of his apartment and not constantly taking his crap. That said, it is no secret that he has trouble with social interactions. I also think he is trying to work on these things. I like that Leonard accepts his friends quarks and all. Mislav
Thank you for the report, brilliantfool! Really detailed and fun. It sounds like a pretty good episode, though Raj's storyline is cringe-inducing. It seems like they found a good way to introduce an adult George jr., and find a satisfying middle ground to his character (the way he was described in TBBT vs the way he is portrayed in YS). Shamyfan
I loved how they brought on Georgie. I can definitely see both brother have resentment toward each Other. Especially after their dad died. I can’t wait to see the ep.

Most people growing up the way Leonard did would be so far worse. The guy is a well functioning physicist with friends and a healthy (healthy, not perfect) relationship, that shows GREAT resillience, and it goes unnoticed. Coming out unscratched he would have to be a robot or otherwise inhuman... Edited April 18, 2018 by bfm

They were two different thoughts in the same post.I was saying, that the writers are basically writing Sheldon as treating him like his IQ was 100 or less. Sheldon is the only one to treat him that way. But, then Sheldon treats everybody that way. Even his precious Amy at times. Well that is the way Sheldon is, and it's no surprise he would denigrate the most the person on whom he was most dependent. That's called "manic defenses", he elevates himself and denigrates others to deny his dependency on them.
