That girl is a marvel - goes into labor in the morning, delivers a new prince by lunch, emerges fresh as morning dew by teatime, and back home by supper. Even my wife didn't bounce back that fast, but we are only on our first, so...

In the one B&W wedding rehearsal, Mark Hamill is in the minister's position. Maybe Sheldon gets a Star Wars wedding w/o the costumes.

I have been wondering if Hamill will be playing himself, the actor who was in Star Wars, or is he cast as someone else entirely portraying the officiant.

Not at all. I can appreciate it when it's well done but I am not generally fond of it and it's not why I ever watched the show. I don't begrudge it to anyone though. Many of my friends adore it.

Benny HIll still has tons of fans, and frankly so does Two and a Half Men, which was also a problem in that regard. I think TBBT will survive as well.

Maybe someone got Hamill to officiate for Sheldon. They did bring Bruce Wayne for his birthday.

To tell the truth, I continued watching in spite of having Shamy and Sheldon shoved down our throats. I didn't watch because I enjoyed Shamy.

Yes that's true, but Bruce Wayne is no longer a big draw, is he? Sort of the Professor Proton of the Batman franchise? Whereas Hamill can still pack them in and does I believe. What inducement could they possibly offer him to attend a physicist's wedding, let alone officiate?

With that being said, Amy did have some funny lines this year and Sheldon is funny when he get hurt as in S10/E9 or gets pranked as in "The Gates Excitation"!

It also seems that they had a long day in pre-taping these scenes, something like  12-13 hours then they have to be on set today for the live taping.  But I guess they get paid enough and they have three and a half months to recuperate

LOVE that song. I took a group of Girl Scouts to see a program on the Hubble Telescope once and as they showed the pictures they played that song...fifty times. The girls picked it up and sang it for half an hour straight going home and if you asked them now, years later, they probably still could sing it. I have no idea why they've never used it on the show.

With all that repetition, it's a wonder you didn't come to despise that tune! I suppose not using it on TBBT is a question of musical rights. I've noticed that some BBC programs like "Endeavour" will use a piece of music which is changed when the same episode is shown in the U.S. Very disconcerting in one instance where the episode title was that of a song which was never played.

For some reason, the Pythons don't seem to be in their bailiwick. Not really in the realm of science/sci-fi/comics.  Now that I think about it, I bet Amy FF would be a huge fan of the Pythons with her dry sense of humor.  Can't you see her knowing the words to the Philosopher’s Song:  "Immanuel Kant was a real pissant who was very rarely stable. Heidegger, Heidegger was a boozy beggar who could think you under the table....."

She looked better walking out of the hospital with that baby than I looked at my wedding. But yes, I would call that the wedding of the century. The Shamy wedding is not going to be that overwhelming to me. I just have a feeling about it. People who expect every little detail to be delved into, I think are going to be disappointed. I don't see how they can do that.

I'd never heard it and It is possible the writers have not either. Now that I have heard it on youtube I'd say it lacks the manic pace of the theme song and the Element song.
