More than enough for me.

M-a-r-k H-a-m-i-l-l    😁

I get it, it's Mark "freaking" Hamill and I really like Mark Hamill. But, it's an old Mark Hamill. I'd rather have some Lenny hugs. 😎

Since he is playing himself old Mark Hamill is the best Mark. He has all that life experience - he is even on facebook..

I said that I like Mark Hamill, that's old and young. I would just like some Lenny hugs better. 😏

I'd like some Lenny kisses! Is this the first season without any (on the lips)? Or am I forgetting something?

Not how I imagined he would be.

I guess Georgie's referring to himself as "Dr. Tire." I'm sure that gets Sheldon's goat.

Doctor?

I thought George was, to quote Mary, "dumb as soup"?

Just having one in the house capable of receiving requires a licence

Which country are we talking about here?

I think they did a great job with the casting in terms of him looking like an adult Georgie. He does kind of look like the younger actor on YS if you added say 30 years to him.

Attire is kind of Texan as well.

You don't really believe in detector vans, do you?

So pretty much like the end of Season 5, if you're not a Howardette fan?

Which country are we talking about?

And if you don't have a TV/radio receiver in your household?

Howardette in S5 was not the only plot in the final. Based on the s final taping. Majority of the plot is Shamys Wedding. And other characters mediating. The whole season 5, was not revolved around Howardettes wedding. Back then the show had more balance and consistency.

And also Mark Hamill and Sheldons brother coincide with Shamys wedding. Mark Hamill well orchestrate proceedings. And George well attend the wedding. I was just simply saying outside Shamys wedding. I don't think much else is going to occur.

I really don't know that, all what they have said is that all adults over 18 years old that has an monthly income over 13600 SEK (about $1550) should pay about $150  yearly  with this new tax.Single people like myself will actually earn money to have this tax as the license fee is $270 yearly.

Heh well today out Govt just announced a new GST Tax for online shopping. To prevent the tax loophole of foreign companies cashing basically. And protect our retailers.

I’m really enjoying the sort of “renaissance” that Mr. Hamill is having since TFA & TLJ. He is seemingly everywhere (or in many places where my view is aimed) and engages with fans and admirers in a wonderful and playful way. (It doesn’t hurt that he appears to share my view on many current event subjects). I know that he has been active with many roles and has received critical acclaim for voice over work he has done for years, but he was never as visible as Harrison Ford & Carrie Fisher.

This Lenny shipper will be glued to the television for Episode 11.24 to watch this (IMHO) national treasure interact with TBBT cast.

(BTW: he’s Luke Skywalker. Young and old. LUKE freakin’ SKYWALKER!)

Good casting.

I didn't until I saw them. They make themselves very conspicuous. I thought it was a ploy until some young friends of mine were actually caught and fined.

That was a plot on Coronation Street!

Hilda Ogden was watching television without a license and got caught!

Entertainment Tax lol, well at least they are being honest about what it is.

I've read about the high tax in Scandinavian countries (plus I watch A LOT of Nordic Noir and it does come up lol) and it's very interesting that these high tax countries seem to have some of the happiest societies. I've also read the public in those countries have a lot of trust in the state and that the tax which they pay higher levels for compared to a lot of countries around the world will be spent wisely. I don't think we have anywhere near the same level of trust over here in the UK when it comes to taxation and government spending so higher tax rates have never caught on with the public really, well not to that extent of say Sweden anyway.

They live 'lower risk' lives.

My brother in Florida got fired as part of a nationwide layoff of senior retail managers and Florida saw to it after over 20 years with the firm that he would get two weeks severance pay.  They then lost their health insurance and went into debt when my sister in law was hospitalized and lost their house.  This sequence would not happen in Scandinavia and they don't have to worry about it happening.

In the US our freedoms are about 'freedom to' and in other countries it is 'freedom from'.  Neither is all good or bad.

If you buy a new TV , the store by law have to inform them of the buyers address so that they ensure that the address is covered by a TV licence. If it’s not, you get warnings to purchase a licence.

Big brother keeping tabs.

Yes, instead of a license fee that we have now, we will get a new entertainment tax that everbody has to pay.

That's ridiculous.

Why should people who doesn't consume TV, subsidise those who do?

No, but it was primarily the Howardette wedding.

I didn't say it did, just as the post I quoted didn't say the whole of season 11 has revolved around Shamy's wedding.

Of course they make them conspicuous, because they rely on people being intimidated by them, which they wouldn't be, if they didn't see them.

Your friends were prosecuted, and TV Licensing used detector van evidence, in the trial?

For a show that built its bases on the premise that marriage is the prize at the top of the slippery pole of the relationship game, they do a sucky job of showing what the prize is worth.

The prize is a rather hollow box for L/P, so far as you can tell from what is on screen. Based on this depiction, marriage doesn’t change a thing, except maybe where you sleep. So they continually sell just the sizzle and not the sausage. I think L/P deserve more sausage, but that’s not going to happen. The show is perpetually adolescent.

*sigh* A loved up L/P would be nice to see. Make those damn actors damn well act, damnit. We know they can do it. They just don’t need to, because the sizzle con still sells.

I blame society. :)

Edit: correction - not adolescent - more pre-teen. Adolescents are all over each other... as are the happily married.

I don't think it would happen anywhere in Europe, where health services are either free or require a small contribution. In the Republic of Ireland the hospitals are - or were the last I heard -  funded by a sweepstake.

They had no defence so with a guilty plea the evidence wouldn't be needed. I can't remember whether they actually had to attend court or just pay up.

So no Detector Van evidence was presented at court?

Of course it wasn't, and nor would it have been, even if they had gone to trial, because Detection evidence has never been used in a TV Licence evasion trial.

BTW: How did they get caught? I'm guessing they answered the door, answered his/her questions, then signed the form, ie. they signed a confession?
