That's because Sheldon is happy with her at the store as is Stuart. I sort of expected Raj to argue with Stuart over Denise as they did over the Indian lady work mate of Bernadette.

I don't think it matters who's playing Meemaw. A simple 5 second line in a conversation between Sheldon and Mary could resolve the mystery. Nothing elaborate is needed. No extra scene, just a sentence is all.

So... Holland said in an interview (TVline?) that there are things many ask about that will be resolved/explained in the last season and some that will remain a mystery. Anybody in for speculating what he was referring to? I can think of these:

Penny's maiden name - I'm willing to bet this is one of the things he was talking about. Not sure though if they want to reveal it or leave it a mystery.

Howard's father - Another thing I'm quite sure is included in this category.

Other things I'm not sure... Maybe tenure, Leslie Winkle seemingly disappearing (yes she suddenly appeared in Sheldon's birthday but that was one time and also OOC), Penny's sister, the elevator never being fixed... But beside the elevator these are minor things I'm not sure TPTB remember or are asked about.

They can't remember what was written from week to week much less for a longer period of time.Those are some good items that could be resolved. I'm thinking tenure for sure.

They said in the interview they did not want to end in a cliffhanger. I'm betting ep 1 or 2 of  S12 will include 'Three months earlier ' and show the reception scenes some fans regret having missed, the dancing Sheldon wanted,  Meemaw's voice message and the reason Raj was crying.

A propos of the latter, is that an empty seat next to Raj that I see ?

Maybe but them caring about what the fan think is low priority

The tag already shows them the next day or so when they marvel at their marriage certificate and go through the presents. I don't think we'll see anything from the reception or whatever.

Very, very low priority in my opinion. TPTB and writers write what they like and want and we (the fans) just have to take it or leave it.

Hopefully that is so going to happen. Receptions on TV are not needed.

I agree about Potts as I have seen her in "Designing Women". As for Metcalf's daughter, I don't remember seeing her in anything. So I have no opinion on her, but will take your word for it.

The two of them are why I watch YS.  I don't care about the kid, but those two are great.  And Georgie is good, too.  The whole cast is, actually. The part I don't really care about is...Sheldon.  He's fine, but not why I watch.

The main thing with her is she sounds just like her mom when she wants to and looks a lot like her. Which makes her a logical choice to play Mary.

It was Annie. June [who played the character in Season 9] was terrific [in the role], but with Young Sheldon being on and Annie Potts [aka Younger Meemaw] being such a big part of that show it just felt like a different character.
