'The Big Bang Theory' Regains Its Spot at Top of Ratings

CBS' comedy 'The Big Bang Theory' regains its spot atop the television rankings, pushing back ABC's 'Roseanne'.

As it heads toward the end of another season, CBS' "The Big Bang Theory" has regained its familiar spot at the top of the television rankings.

The CBS comedy was seen by nearly 13 million people last week, the Nielsen company said. The revived "Rosanne," which has created a sensation since returning to the air on ABC this spring, slipped to fourth in last week's ratings, with an audience of 10.43 million viewers last Tuesday.

CBS' "NCIS" was the second most-popular show of the week for the first of a two-episode arc featuring actress Pauley Perrette's exit after 15 years of playing the character Abby.

It is how each character views what is going on. 

Young Sheldon uses a narrater so that is specific to his POV. How he percieves it through his characters eyes.

We were talking about the first couple seasons. Sheldon mostly acted to situations. Pennys POV I saw in the finale of season 2. There were isolated instances of Raj and Howard but generally if you go by the first 2-3 seasons it was slanted towards Leonard.

Disagree. It is from Leonard, Sheldon, Penny, Amy, Howard, Bernie and  Raj POV.

Then it was from Leonard, Penny and Sheldon and even Raj and Howard.They all had a point of view of what was going on. The only one you say can say for certain was when Leonard told the story about how the elevator was broken. That was his story that he told from his perspective. Each one of the characters has a different point of view.

Correct, my friend. Bernie first appeared in season 3 and Amy was first seen in Season 4.

Sorry, I don't see any clarification. The only mention of TBBT is when they started talking about YS. Then they discussed Friends and then Will and Grace, No Big Bang Theory.

It talked about sitcoms and comedic point of view. All you need to do is replace the friends example with BBT people. It is the exact same concept.

Not that I disagree that the Lenny wedding was kinda rubbish but to be fair to Holland: he wasn't showrunner then! For all we know he might have treated the Lenny wedding with as much care as the Shamy wedding now. I mean with the general plots this season he certainly improved upon Molaro's mess when it comes to Lenny.

Like it or not Holland is part of the baggage that Molaro left behind. Has Lenny plots been improved? Yes. Was it hard to improve Lenny plots? No

i think Holland does not  help his cause by saying the wedding has been 9 years in the making. People get it. It's going to rub some the wrong way. What to me really is bothersome when it was suggested that Sheldon might get cold feet he suggested Shamy fans won't let that happen?  Does that mean one ship has more input than another? I mean it's safe to say they know they screwed up with Lenny. I thought the idea is the writers not caring about what fans think. Apparently Holland thinks otherwise.

For not being fully honest. If you admit to kissing another girl you might also let her know you see her everyday at work. Just be completely honest at that point. Leonard was dishonest all the way around.

Holland is not responsible for what Molaro did 3 years ago is all I'm saying.

He is promoting the show cause it's his job. Of course he will talk this up to make people watch. They did the same with both Lenny weddings back in the day.

The comment about Shamy fans came from Glamour - it was outside the quotation marks.

TPTB specifically said it was.  They talked about how Sheldon tried to pull Leonard one way, and Penny tried to pull him the other way.   That started changing in season three.

We are talking about 10 years ago, yes. The paperwork was about George's estate. On Y S he is a teacher in 1989. The house was on some sort of foundations it could slip off, not wheels, probably something to do with how they build houses in hurricane areas.

Back in seasons 1 and 2.  In several interviews in articles and on video.   The talked about how Leonard wanted to become more social, and he saw Penny as a way to pull him from his nerd side, but he also wanted his nerd side, with Sheldon providing the pull to that side.   I think the perfect example of that was Leonard reading "Eat, Pray, Love" in line to see "Raiders" with the extra 21 seconds.
