I dont think they are perfect, but I respect your opinion. I am a Shamy and I dont believe they will approach that subject. Besides Lenny or Howardette sexual lives would be more applaying for many viewers. As this is a CBS show and not a HBO, I think S12 will focus in others subjects, LOL!

Bed/bedroom scenes on this show aren't always intimate ones. Even just scenes with them talking about their day or an issue they are facing and perhaps seeking advice can occur in that setting as well.

When Leonard said Physics was dead they could have put a scene in their with Leonard and Penny in their bedroom discussing the troubles he was facing with the University.

Penny and her career issues could have had a scene like that as well.

I don't know why they don't do that, you would have to ask the powers that be.

Let's set the record straight. "Shamy" didn't wait 8 years. Sheldon drug his feet. If Amy wanted to get married so badly, she should left Sheldon and found someone to marry. Wait, I think she did that in Season 9. She found Dave. Other than the fact that he adored Dr. Cooper, he was alright. But no, she dropped her head and pretty much begged Cooper to take her back. So Amy deserves what she gets. She coulda, woulda, shoulda have a marriage by late season 9 or 10 if she had been aggressive enough.

The damn writers don't know what they wrote from episode to episode. There is no continuity in the show. The writers just write and give the actors words to say with caring what was said or done previously.

I would say that the writers are just lazy, it is much more easy to have Lenny standing by the kitchen island and deliver punchlines.

Words of pure gold. Besides, if Lenny had a meaningful conversation, the writers would feel they are taking away from shamy valuable time.

I have had my issues with this season sure, but I don't think they are lazy. These writers are at the top of their profession, they are writing for the no.1 comedy on tv and often the no.1 non sports related show on tv.

I think they make decisions that sometimes we perhaps don't agree with or stories that sometimes don't work that effectively but I wouldn't say they are that lazy.

Laziness to me in this setting is pretty much when they forget perhaps some of the recent work they have done and it's glaringly obvious. A piece of dialogue that say contradicts what they said earlier especially in the same season, that would be seen as lazy to me.

Things that I liked, in no particular order:
The Shamy science. I think it's a great idea. And Leonard coming in and seeing it and sitting down to go along with it was also great.
Sheldon telling Amy he loved her so damn much because I never thought I'd ever hear him say the word damn.
The look on Sheldon's face when he saw Mark Hamill. He owes Howard BIG TIME for that one.
Mary's  private talk with Sheldon was sweet and I am so glad Laurie arranged her schedule to be there. But it leads to one of the worse things for me which I will discuss later.
Sheldon Cooper was speechless, which is also something I never thought I'd see.
The guest stars were all perfect at their roles and didn't take over the whole thing. I was worried about that.
Teller said thanks! So many morons think he's really mute I wanted him to say SOMETHING. The in-laws are all comedic gold.
Denise and Stuart have to have a thing now, at least for awhile. It's set up so beautifully.
Kripke singing...that was hilarious.

Things I didn't like, also in no particular order:
I still think Amy looks like a pile of used Kleenex in that dress. I hate it.
I think it's ridiculous that Sheldon and his mom had to sniffle about George, Sr. being gone. Proves to me that YS is the new cash cow of the future and it's going to really dominate both shows. That is reinforced by my daughter, who told me about the YS ending.
Mark Hamill wasn't used very well. I found his sniffling annoying. But I do have to concede he was great with Howard.
They left out the Hawking tribute. Steam came out of my ears when I waited for that and got nothing. I was so looking forward to it.

JMO but I gotta believe they're mostly male writers. The Penny is a  dream girl they could write. Probably dreamed it too. But now trying to write an actual relationship is hard for them. It easy to write goofy or off the wall (both other couples). But they can't figure out how to write normal in a funny way

Isn't that a little bit sad and unrealistic, that they have known each other for over ten years and now also married , but has never been on a trip together.

I think that they did and either don't consider the trip to San Francisco as an actual trip, or the writers can't remember what they wrote in the past. Because if you remember they did go to San Diego to get Sheldon's game stuff back when Penny kicked him in the privates. Is that considered a trip. I think they were talking about a trip together with just them and no others. San Diego was with the gang. San Francisco was with Sheldon. That's my take on the no trip being taken. Also don't forget the trip to Big Sur. I  know it was with gang as well. But to me a trip is a trip.

The Nobel Prize would be totally unrealistic , it takes usually 20-40 years after your discovery until you get the Nobel Prize, but who cares about reality on a sit-com.

Don't it make you want to blow chunks? If anyone should get a Nobel, it should be Leonard and sheldon for that project they worked on together. You remember, the one good friend Sheldon took all the credit for.

I know it will never happen, but I would love a dream sequence where Sheldon dreams of receiving a Nobel. Then wakes up to realize that Leonard is getting the Nobel Prize. That would be hilarious.

I would assume that Nobel's are obviously the ultimate prize but that there are other awards as well. The US nationally will have some. Even the University might award something, some kind of prize and award. Maybe some science publication picks up on their work (yeah I know its been done before with Leonard and Sheldon).

If this is the final season there is nothing stopping the writers doing flashforward scenes to the future in the final ever episode with Shamy picking up a Nobel many years later for their work if they wanted to do that.

Anyway I am excited and interested to see what they have in store with a possible Shamy project. That's if they actual commit to it, the previous Shamy project wasn't developed much really. We could see just a mini arc that again doesn't go anywhere, hopefully not this time!

You would think after all these years that they would have went somewhere alone. Leonard took Pryia to Catalina, but he can't take Penny anywhere. Probably due to Sheldon causing a scene and not wanting to be left alone.
