So tbbt staff have been hard at work for a month in writers's  room...

Hopefully their panel speaking time at SDCC will seem very short for the potencial of the questions-answers about the upcoming season. Everyone need many answers!!

Have to wonder how many writers will be attending this year.  We are expecting appearances from Johnny, Kaley, Mayim and Kunal.  Chuck, Bill and Steve usually attend. So how many more people do we think will fit up on stage?

I wonder who is moderating?

From what I gathered from Alex Aylers's IG stories, Steve Holland is going at SDCC too, not sure if he will be attend the panel, because as you said it seems to be pretty crowded as it is. In the past two years the panel was moderated by a cast member that wasn't supposed to be there and showed up as a surprise, I wonder if that will be the case also this year...Melissa seems to be the most likely, if that's the case, since on Friday 21st, in the evening , there will be the premiere of Batman and Harley Quinn, another project of hers. I've checked, anyway, and she is not scheduled to be at the Q&A which will follow the screening. Let's see... Whoever is moderating, I just hope there are interesting questions, I'm very happy that so many people from the main cast will be there and very curious to hear their take on the show.

Maye Kevin will moderate...? This way you won't have a main cast member moderating and the others participating.

It may be, but he is already listed as an attendee. Moderators of TBBT panel, instead, are usually announced at the very last moment, sometimes you know who they are just when the panel begins.

As Goldie Hawn's character said in The First Wives Club, " There are only three ages for women in Hollywood - Babe, District Attorney, and Driving Miss Daisy."  I wish things had changed since then but they have not changed that much. I don't think Penny fits any of them at the moment. Publicity for her company, I could see. Or she could do more con appearances for Serial Ape-ist and have that lead to something better. It seems to be turning into a cult classic, after all. And I'd like to see some better con scenes than they did the last time.

I always thought KC should be playing the sort of roles GH did at her age. And GH's career somewhat contradicts her character's remark: her only real star performance in her 20s, IMO, was in There's a Girl in My Soup, where she played a very Penny-like character. Her other comedy/romantic heroine successes started in her 30s - slightly older than Penny is now. It's been noticed that the "classic" TBBT setup of Penny and the nerds has a similar setup to Ball of Fire, made when Barbara Stanwyck was 34. There are plenty of other examples of actresses older than Penny not only playing romantic heroines, but getting their first breakthrough success when older than Penny.

So Bill Prady says the new season will be 'amazing'. It seems not everybody is pleased. He might have chosen that word very carefully: it doesn't necessarily mean the scripts will be good. He could be hinting we may be amazed by how bad they'll turn out to be. :)  I hope, however, he means the former. I didn't want season 10 to be the last. Fingers crossed my wish to enjoy at least two more isn't misplaced. It has happened.

He's entitled to his opinion, if he thinks it's going to be amazing then he thinks that. Last season he reckoned a particular episode was one of the best they had done for 'years' and I thought they had done much better earlier in the season, it's all about personal opinions.

Remind me, which one was that?

But yeah, writers have their personal opinions as well and they don't necessarily match what the fans want. Whenever people are clamouring for, say, Prady to come back I'm just sitting here like "be careful what you wish for!"

I'm 99.9% sure it was Bill who was raving about 10.12 The Holiday Summation on twitter which had me scratching my head at the time. If it wasn't him then I will edit my post accordingly.

And money. Whatever his true personal feelings are, I doubt very much that he is going to bad mouth what is making so much money for him. You'd think that at one point they'd have enough, and they could let their true feelings show, but I guess there are a lot of conflicts of interests, and of course friendships, but once in a while, once in a blue moon it would be nice to hear the truth (or what I perceive as the truth- it's all speculation)

I vaguely remember him praising an episode as well that I didn't agree with but I forgot which one it was. Might have been this.

Holiday Summation was great for the Howardette part (the crib scene especially!) but the rest was kinda meh.

Yeah the Howardette in the crib was my no.1 on my top 10 Howardette moments for Season 10. Actually thought the Lenny part was fairly decent as well, it was the Shamy storyline I thought that was the worst of the three.

Certainly wasn't the best episode in years, wasn't the best of the season IMO.

True. What amazes one person will leave another totally unmoved.

Love to see Penny get her dream job, but she is a little old as an actress to make it big now. There are a lot of younger actresses out there. That's why I though she could become a nationally known spokesperson for her company. That would fit their current story line.

Totally agree!

Huh I thought the standout part of the episode was the Lenny part. It was the most funniest. But that's jmo. It's a comedy after all. In any case I thought Veracity Elasticity was the standout episode of the season. But generally the quality of the writing declined. Particularly in the second half of the season.

I don't think Prady really knows if it we'll be an amazing season. I think he is just hyping it. Like you said it's just pure speculation at this point. I don't see how the show we'll be any different from the last three seasons. But who knows.

He is promoting. I doubt it really means anything.

That aside getting to season 11 and staying number one comedy is kind of amazing.

Not really. TV these days isn't exactly "must see TV".  If TBBT was on during the Seinfeld Friends, Cheers period of 20-30 years ago the show would of been done after season 6,
