Is there really a reason after the clip to watch the episode?

If u ask me ...no reason to watch imo :icon_cheesygrin:

After that clip , 11.01 shamy plot  is so boring. It is basically same old lazy  sitcom  101 trope  of "wise patient woman putting up with her annoying foolish childish man, yet for some inexplicable reason, she is dying to marry him"

On the bright side ,  pictures of episode 11.02 look pretty cool .

That picture with just Penny and the guys and the pic of Sheldon surrounded by all those whiteboards reminds me of old school tbbt.....thinking of physics bowl and Penny blossoms.  The Leonard/Penny pictures look great too. Im curious about  Leonard's outlook to physics and why he said what he said, and what the guys and Penny  are discussing. Idk, atleast on paper it sounds like a different type of plot ..lets see how it plays out.

"The Classic Crew" :shy:  seems back in town.

Back when the show was good.

Agreed. The clip would be better if it at least it was left up in the air if she says yes or no. I understand people on this thread knows what happens but I don't think everyone else did until seeing that clip.

Thank you so much @BigBangFan24! Every tidbit you shared is very much appreciated!

The Howard-Amy plot sounds fun and funny! I was hoping for a revisit of this pairing some day.

A few months ago I have been thinking it could be funny if the group discover that Leonard and Penny went to parenting classes to handle Sheldon better, and we'd see them implement some of the things they learned. This episode's Lenny-Sheldon plot is very much like that. I hope it would translate as a funny light thing and the Sheldon infantilization won't be too bad. Also hope they won't play the Lenny as bickering parents card again. I'm curious about this episode.

LOL I think he diminished the amount to encourage people to come to tapings. Well 44 is little compared to 235.

With last night's taping, only 39 more, unless it's renewed beyond the current deals. It makes you wonder if they're slowly gearing up for the end. First, Kaley made a comment in a recent article speculating season 12 would be the last, and now Johnny alluded to that in his write-up on Instagram.

Also Jim recently, during his radio show, made a comment about the fact in a couple of years when the show ends he would like to do more theatre.

It kind of reminds me of season 3's "The Gothowitz Deviation," where Sheldon was using behavior modification on Penny with chocolates as her reward. With Penny and Leonard teaming up to sort of manipulate Sheldon, I'm sure it'll be hilarious.

2 seasons means 48 episodes and this was 11×04, or did I mix something up?

I love that Penny is sitting on her old acting chair! Where has that been moved to? It hasn't been shown in 4A, and I haven't seen it in 4B anymore, so...

11.01 - "The Proposal Proposal"

11.02 - "The Retraction Reaction"

11.03 - "The Relaxation Integration"

11.04 - "The Explosion Implosion"

11.05 - "The Collaboration Contamination"

For much I enjoy the show , I think in these 48 episodes left until the end of s12 could be told what is needed to these characters lives reach their goals , to keep the show premise getting closure and make the show end with high ratings. Everything has a beginning and an end for much we would miss it. For allow the show legacy be a great thing to always remember by fans.

He's also said similar things in recent interviews during the junket for Young Sheldon, I believe. His returning to theater doesn't surprise me, nor does Kaley's desire to travel and ride horses. The cast has other interests beyond the show, and I'm grateful for the next 2 seasons. Also, I should start listening to Jim's radio show. Are past shows available for streaming?

Oh right thank you. But this means there are 43 left (48-5), not 39.

Holy crap! Why did they cut away from Sheldon's face when he is talking about what happened. I want to see both of their faces during the conversation. Not just one or the other. Do we get to see the yes? Where is the yes?? DYING here!

It's had an AMAZING run, and has changed the lives of it stars, as well as given us going on over a decade of entertainment and enjoyment. I don't know what I'll do, when it leaves the air.

You're right! lol I've been up for the past 12 hours, and just got home from work. Looonnnggg day! lol I subtracted from the 44 episodes someone mentioned earlier, when I should have remembered the 48 episodes it has over the next 2 seasons.

I know that I will make a few full rewatches for keep all these great moments fresh in my mind. Well, I wont ever forget some of them as I have rewatched some of best moments over and over so far, lol!

Anyway, Tbbt will always have a special place in my heart: for the characters as I work in science field too and I had also struggled with some social issues like them; for the online friendships and great fics as some I wont ever forget. And for the fun of being part of such nice community as it is this forum.

Tbbt, you rock! Thank you!❤

Parenting techniques are not supposed to be "manipulations" but this depends on how they use this, it is a sitcom... This episode will be of additional interest to me because I work and learn about working with parents. I wonder if they will use some real common principles in parent guidance (things like be united in your stance, don't give in to escalating protest, be assertive not aggressive.. these are of course simplyfied examples) or just some things representative of common perceptions of parent guidance.

Yeah, the question is are they trying to teach him something or modify his behavior, or do they have a hidden agenda and want to give him payback for all these years? It depends on how it plays out on-screen.

I don't think it will be payback but the extent to which it benefits Sheldon may vary depending on how it plays out. Parenting techniques are supposed to benefit the child too (e.g., A child may be frustrated at not getting what s/he wants but may learn how to deal with this situation, which is not uncommon in life).
