Haha I like that they always have the same nurse on TBBT, would be a funny meta to have her in YS too.

@Tripper Apparently, this episode has been pushed back and will air at a later date. The second episode of the series will be "Rockets, Communists, and the Dewey Decimal System."

Thanks for pointing that out. I've updated the post. CBS had promo'd Rockets... for November 2 originally, then announced Poker... I wonder why they changed and then changed it back.

I noticed that, too. If I'm not mistaken, "Communist" is the second episode produced, so why they were going to skip to the third beats me.

Now I love Meemaw !

I finally forgive her for 09/14 when she must just have been having a bad day after a long plane flight and so many staircases.

Young Sheldon Recap: Trip to the ER Foreshadows a Family Tragedy

In “Poker, Faith and Eggs,” the Designing Women alum made her series regular debutas Sheldon’s beloved grandmother — but the real story here involved George Sr., who as well established on The Big Bang Theory isn’t long for this world. His mortality cast a shadow over the entire episode, and for good reason: Mary escorted him to the emergency room after he began complaining of chest pain, and what is ultimately diagnosed as a minor heart attack gave the entire family a major scare.

Hilarious episode, the best so far, IMO. I'm loving more and more Georgie and Missy, which is odd, since I never had great sympathy for them in TBBT. The tag at the church was really funny!

I enjoyed it and found it a bit better than last week. Zoe Perry keeps bringing her A game, IMO, with a great blend of comedy and drama. I like Georgie, he might have problem behaviors but his heart seems to be in the right place.

The show is getting better week after week. I really enjoyed children interaction in name of love for their father. What was not supposed I guess was George father be cool. I am really curious about how his and Mary relationship got so damaged.

I thought it was funny and sweet. It was a nice way to explore Sheldon's  views on existence of God. He is agnostic but I liked him praying to mathematician, philosopher Blaise Pascal - you have nothing to lose if proven wrong .  I thought the church scenes were funny especially the tag - how could there be light the first 3 days ?  Was the word Kaboom  ? The faking heart attack in the tag was surprising and hilarious, And I liked the chemistry with Missy and Georgie. Georgie is interesting and I find him sympathetic for some reason, being the oldest child.

Annie Potts is great.  So is Perry.  Terrific cast.

Yes, she was terrific. I think she fit in quite naturally . The cast is good.

This show makes Sheldon and his love for his Meemaw make much more sense to me.  Annie Potts is terrific.

Meh not really finding this show that laugh out loud funny tbh. Seems like Atypical Family-Comedy you could see the in the 70s.

I agree Annie Potts is great casting. But then when you think about the miscast of Meemaw in Season 9 of TBBT. It does not make much sense. That is what she is like when she is older? Hmm.
