SRAM
Sheldon and Amy were funny tonight and we got another hint about babies with Lenny again tonight. I liked this weeks episode better than last week.
Chrismo
I liked last week's better than this week. The Lenny part IMO was a little relatable in regards to saying all the things you want to accomplish and not really doing them. Hoping this was a start. I actually liked the Shamy storyline last week (wink wink) compared to this episode. Can't figure out what was more nauseating them throwing up or the repeated Amy birthday coitus. The Raj Howard story I think Leonard covered in the I episode. Just not interesting. Sah
Loved it! So funny. I loved that Sheldon planned and prepared a special birthday dinner for Amy, this was very thoughtful on his part. Raj and Howard always make me laugh and I was glad to see them friends again. Also, I really identified with Leonard not liking his brothers Christmas letter. I usually cringe when I get brag letters like that. I think that Leonard and Penny should be very proud of where they are in life.
Die Zimtzicke
I liked the ep. Not as much as last weeks, but I liked it. I liked that Sheldon tried to do something special for Amy. Sad he messed up so badly. I work at a living history farm , though and I've churned a lot of butter. Can be awfully hard depending on how hot or humid it is. I loved it when Penny laughed at the comment about Leonard being short. It was a bright, spontaneous laugh. I agree with Leonard about Christmas letters, however. I don't like them. My mother wrote really obnoxious ones that made me cringe. I had a feeling that Howardette were not making friends with other couples! So it was cool to have that confirmed by no kids at the party. Raj really made it cute, though. Such a waste. I think it's great that he's keeping his curly hair and that he told off Howard again. Howard's teasing can turn nasty really quick. I was super disappointed though that Penny and Leonard, when they finally decided to go somewhere decide to go where Leonard went with Priya. I think they should've come up with something original to them.
Carlos
I didn't like the episode that much. Howard/Raj's split seems so forced. Lenny's stuff was meh, and Shamy's stuff was mildly funny. I guess I would have enjoyed it more if I were a shipper. All in all it seemed to me like an underwhelming episode.

Oh, don't worry about it. They'll do most of it, off-screen, as usual, out of a fine tradition.

bfm
I thought that was a good episode, it was cute. Everybody was well meaning and it was light and funny. The only thing that annoyed me is that suddenly Bernadette has a sister when just a few episodes ago she said she has all brothers! Come on! I think "the jerk of the episode" was Howard. The lie about "Daddy and Me" was very IC. But him just expecting Raj's help after a simple apology and not even thanking him for the amazing party he put up in no time?! However it was later brought up that he was feeling very uneasy about Raj blaming him for damaging his life. The bouncy castle scene was funny and a great way for these two to end their fight, although I think they could perform it better. Shamy were cute although I can't see Sheldon doing it in another person's bed. Lenny were cute, especially in that fraction of a second when we saw them holding hands!!! Why can't we have more of this? It was absolutely adorable. I'm kinda glad they cut the part of them going to the trip and Penny planning to do all this stuff while Leonard just wants to sit and watch the view. It made Leonard seem too whiny and lazy when before he does seem to want to do something new. Sure Leonard is not great at physical activities but for most of the series he has had motivation to try new things. So it's less Lenny time but I actually prefer that. 4 hours ago, Die Zimtzicke said: I liked the ep. Not as much as last weeks, but I liked it. Oh well, could be like a redeeming experience, Penny gets to go with him as his wife, she gets the "last laugh" and Leonard going with his true love. djsurrey
First birthday of first child and no Grandparents show up? Bernadette had lots of siblings too. Just seems unusual to me. Enjoyed the episode. Like others this season it was good enough but not great.

I didn't get Bernadette's bra joke. Is she heavily pregnant and still breastfeeding? I didn't think that was possible.
Stephen Hawking
The food poisoning hit pretty damn quick. It usually takes a while to reach the PV stage, but, in this case, it took just a few minutes.
3ku11
Finnally watched the episode. I agree the usual standard this season has been Good not Great. And this maintained that standard, thoughts. I felt the Raj//Howard plot was the strongest. Not the greatest. But I Did enjoy them fighting in the Bouncy Castle. Throwback to the childish endering traits of the guys. Howard did come across as a jerk most of the epiosde. But at the same time I don't agree with Raj blaming Howard for all his life problems. I Think Leonard summed it up best. "Okay this fight has to stop, or very least get more entertaining". Shamy plot. Ehh I skipped most of it. I guess if I was a shipper I Would of found it compelling. Just felt underwhelming too me. Like already said they got food poisoning pretty quickly. Usually takes a while to reach that level, that quickly. IT was pretty nauseating. That and the yearly Amy Birthday Sex. They have got to drop it, I mean enough already. I really enjoyed Leonard and Penny. Their was more quality then quantity, so their was more phrasing for me. And it they actually got some isolated scenes, which was nice. I agree glad they edited out the trip. It did not bother me that he went their with Priya. I actually had no idea. Until someone on this thread brought it up. Even if they did go their. IT could be perceived as Leonard is going their with his true love. But guess Penny doing the sights, while Leonard takes in the view. I woulden't be bothered by, but it is probably best they cut it out. I Did enjoy them this episode. First time since Season 6. They were both well meaning. Acknowledging the phase their marriage is in. Like Leonard said, everyone is moving forward. And being aware of the next step. And also the amount of affection and intimacy was nice. Like too see them kiss more though. Overall decent episode, not the greatest. But I enjoyed it. rachelshamyfan
I somehow went unspoiled for this 1. Funniest moment was Howard AND Raj pushing each other on the bouncy castle. Was a good episode though a bit unrealistic to recover from food poisoning in less than a day?? Edited December 23, 2017 by rachelshamyfan
JohnPhD
I don't think I'll ever re-watch this ep. Super frustrating - Leonard and Penny identify their problems then instead of their DOING SOMETHING ABOUT IT it's dropped and we just see endless unneccessary Sheldon and Amy labouriously working through exactly what we knew was going to happen as soon as S said he was preparing an authentic frontier dinner. The ep could advantageously have cut straight from S describing the dishes at the start of dinner to his running into 4A to vomit. And if the time saved had been devoted to developing P&L that would have put the ep on an altogether higher level. To wash away the bad taste of 1111 I rewatched 117 right after (the one where L asks P out for the first time and she agrees - "The cat's alive!"). The drastic decline in quality from that to 1111 could perhaps be quantified by the respective screentimes KC has in each, altho it's not just being on screen but being at the centre of the story. What do you want them to do? Penny says she's not ready. That she wants to be thin awhile longer and have more money. That shuts down doing anything else except going on the trip. Now I wish it had not been a trip to someplace he'd been with Priya, but there' nothing really big they could've done once they said they weren't going to do anything big. Shelldon
Not as good as prior episode, as the Howard/Raj conflict became more about pettiness than about character growth. Stuart, shut up and let Howard ditch the habit altogether. He doesn't need a proxy. Shamy being on their sickly death bed was one way to twist around the annual coitus episode. Maybe they should've done it in the bouncy castle while the others were distracted, but I do think the freeze frame jump was a good note to leave 2017.
