I did think that this episode was good in that it had one main plot and everyone was involved.  I was disappointed that everyone made up so willing at the end, I sort of wanted Stuart to be the best man.

Interesting,  I loved this episode.

It made Penny look pathetic. Shamy were jerks even thinking about anyone else but Lenny. Howdette looked liked jerks thinking Bernie should be maid of honor. raj and Stuart were well Raj and Stuart. The only one that looked somewhat okay was Leonard.

I’m already sick of talking about Sheldon’s wedding, I thought Stuart being best man would be funny, but we can’t make fun of Shamy (Sheldon) in this show can we.

Can't make fun of Sheldon. Um, that was the shows specialty.

Would Mary suggest George as his best man?

I doubt it. According to Mary, George is/was dating a whore not worthy of a family ring so she would hardly be likely to consider him an appropriate man to support Holy Matrimony. I was surprised Sheldon said she'd be disappointed.

Not a bad idea for an episode : everybody was in character as we've come to know them. I'd have thought they could  have just decided openly on Penny as MOH, pointing out that Bernie would be otherwise occupied and Penny was her bridesmaid when Amy was her MoH. Thereby honour would be satisfied and nobody offended.

When Raj was Howard's best man and the others were groomsmen, nobody quibbled. They would have expected Leonard as Sheldon's long-standing former room mate, plus the fact Sheldon played a small part in Leonard's hastily-arranged do-over even if he only did the invitations and stepped in rather than stood up at the ceremony, to be Sheldon's first choice as Best Man.

However, that would all have been far too simple, not worthy of a whole episode and not at all funny. Which were the funny parts, by the way ?

-How is Halley going to be flower girl if they refuse to pay for a child actress?

-Kind of want to see what the brain teaser was.

-Mac and Nothing. Good diet food.

-If Stuart's as poor as they try to make him seem, why not have him drink the left behind beverage?

-Howard deserved that push into the fridge.

-Wish they had actually done a Best Woman/Gentleman of Honor. Pointless sidetrack.

-I don't like gossip either, Raj.

-Is Leonard actually going to have a writing a book storyline or are we never going to hear a peep on that?

-Still don't know why Sheldon was talking about rhinos.

-This is Big Bang Theory, any choice Sheldon makes is going to get a 20 minute plot. It was also essential to open 2018 with something resembling marriage progress, even if that progress could've been a passing line of dialogue.

What makes you think we'll see that much, if anything, of the wedding when the time comes ?

What is Sheldon's nephew going to do ? Do they have pages at American weddings ?

I thought it was a very good episode. Funny, mostly, and that's what we're mainly looking for in a sitcom aren't we?

The problem for me was that Shamy's antics were so quickly forgiven and for Sheldon it was even framed as sweet. The only thing needed was 1-2 lines about how it is not okay to run tests on your friends without telling them. Just this little thing. I felt it mostly OOC for Howard, I would expect him to be much harsher and not so accepting of Sheldon. For Lenny I found it actually IC. Yes they should have been more mad and make Shamy take reponsibility before stepping in for them. But that's Lenny. They are tolerant and forgiving and care much for these neighbors they consider their best friends (tell me more about how Lenny have nothing in common. Pfft.). And BTW, as scientists Shamy should have known their experiment was not valid. What they did to estimate their friends' skills was not a good way to do so, take the "catering crisis" for example - Leonard and Penny just didn't care, if it were a catering crisis at the wedding they would have taken care of it.

Sheldon not able to change the subject and running away was hilarious and well acted. Penny realizing Amy is her best friend was another great part and very well performed, Kaley's timing is great. And kudos for Leonard who realized Penny's feelings before she did.

I really liked Leonard writing a book and Penny's enthusiasm over it. I hope they keep up with it. I also thought Leonard was cute not giving up on the "brain teaser". That is very IC, he is presistent.

Last note, Sheldon controlling Lenny's thermostat is just..ugh. Bernadette should have told them.

By not showing the whole wedding, thank God.

Could go either way. I think maybe not, but it's possible.

Not great but not that bad!

Me, too. He needs something besides being mopey. The character has potential but it's not utilized well anymore.

I forgot that, it would be great if Leonard wrote a book and it did well, that would drive Sheldon nuts and I bet he would try to write one himself.  I could see a whole episode with him trying to figure on what to write and then when he does, the only person who can understand it is Dr. Hawking.

Will I think everyone understood without aksing that Raj would be Howard best man for obvious reasons

About Leonard book thinking that will be a tie-in for the series finale in season 12. Leonard book gets published.

Well I thought the episode wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, the test though just wouldn't of worked in picking the right best man and maid of honour. I am curious as to why Leonard was last though how could George who wasn't there score higher?. Also Penny coming to the realisation that Amy was her best friend I found odd, because I thought Leonard was her best friend like she told him at their wedding, so how can Amy be her best friend ?.

Also I like the idea of Leonard writing a book and Penny seemed to be enthusiastic about too, it would be good it get mentioned from time to time with it eventually getting published and being a success.

Lol I think Leonard's her life partner. Amy's her female best friend. You could have the argument or point of view it's kinda pathetic Amy is Pennys best friend, I always thought Bernie was. But Penny used to be so outgoing and sociable. Now she has only Amy LOL. Not a shot at Amy. Just a point on how Pennys life has changed or evolved over the years. Not always for the better.

Logically Leonard should of won in a landslide. He had been training for this entire life's lol. Probably a bullet dodged though.
