Hi! I have bingewatched the show from season 1 to 10 tree times already and i still love tbbt as much as the first time... i know the show is close to its end, and i’m very sad and i’ll love to see the show renewed for season 13 at least (i’m sure the writers have a lot of ideas and a lot of new stories to tell). A lot of people gets bored by season 10 but season 11 is doing great and the audience are better than S10 so maybe if the S12 does the same it can be a good argument for a renewal i think... oh i almost forgot, if the show get to the 13th season it will count exactly 303 episodes. 300 episodes guys that’s awesome. I’m really interested to know what are you though on that and if you’ll like to see TBBT renewed again for more seasons and more fun 🙃

I don't think there will be an extension. The cast has other desires and interests. It's possible, but not probable.

For the sake of this forum and its members, and mods. I woulden't be againgst a 13th season. As far as quality and integrity go I Would prob be againgst it. I personally think the writing has gradually each season declined some what. SO I am worried how low can it go. I still love the characters, so it has its moments. Every now and then. Just not as consistent as it once was. That said I Can easily see them backing the truck up so to speak. Based on how well the show does commercially. OF course the question well be, it well come to some point, the show well be expensive to produce. And the cast wanting to explore other projects outside the show.

If you are still getting enjoyment out of it (as am I) then if they do more seasons of course many will welcome it :)

Welcome to the forum! :)

In my humble opinion, season 12 will be it. Kaley is more into horse competitions, Johnny has his new show and Jim has options as well. The other cast members have other things on their plates. Turning down the money will be hard. Maybe they will renew for a year or two. Who really knows at this point in time. Your guess is as good as mine, we'll have to wait and see.

You're probably right, but as I said, as long as they keep making it, I'll keep watching it.

I'm on the fence right now. With the exception of the most recent taping, all I'm getting is a chuckle now and then. This last taping, I really laughed my ass off while reading. I find myself wondering if they can do this now, what happened in the past episodes. Then the unresolved issues, that's ridiculous to me. Especially with the previous episode where Penny went to get dinner for her and Leonard, then went and shared it with Sheldon. Not even a question from Leonard about the dinner she went to get, You don't get closure in the episodes as we did in the past.

If they didn't use silly reasons such as divorces, to excuse the absence of any cast members who can't or won't renew, I'd be happy to see more seasons. I want to see how their careers go, whether something good happens to Stuart, how Raj gets back on his financial feet and what his lifestyle is then, where Shamy live when they have children, how Halley does at school, whether Leonard gets his smart and beautiful babies, who wins a Nobel prize and so on.

If they could keep just a few regular cast members with the others appearing as guests when they were free, the writers could deal with that. They could make longer scenes with whom they have instead of chopping and changing at the speed of lightning, and there's plenty of others who could be used more.

If it morphed into a Howardette spin-off with them on a Scottish island working at a space-base, but with scenes of  what the rest  of the  gang were doing according to which actors were available, I wouldn't mind.

What I don't want to see is season 12 getting bitty and sloppy because they don't know until the last minute whether or not it's the last.

Future seasons would not necessarily have to have 20+ episodes.

The way they move the show around and have multi-week breaks between new episodes, a season with only 10 episodes would be an option.

Send them off to other universities, etc.

Yeah that’s an idea but i think 10 episodes is a bit too short, but 14 or 15 seems good

Agree on that.

Hell I woulden't hate if they went for another season 13. Keep this forum going. But I suspect Season 12 well be the last.

There's a possibility of season 13. That is if they want to hit the 300 episode level. Money won't be a factor, in my opinion. If they still get enjoyment doing the show and working as a cast. So there are some reasons to continue, but will that be enough? That will be the question.

I think a deal will be offered, full season or maybe a shorter season if its clear that many won't go for a full season again.

Then they probably will have the dilemma of whether to try and continue the show if someone doesn't want to come back. One actor wanting out could kill more seasons even if the rest are on board for doing more.
