That stopped being funny like 5 years ago. Jeez, the guy is getting married and you STILL want him to be conflicted about his relationship with Amy??

I think the bigger problem is he was all gung ho over Wolcott and then all of a sudden he wasn't. Things IMO were resolved too quickly. I really didn't see the point of them going there anyways.

But he really wasn't that gung ho, the guys thought that and they posed the question to him.

So as an observer looking at his reactions it seemed that way but Sheldon clearly wasn't when he was asked about it.

Sometimes externally you give off a different vibe when really internally and in your mind it can be the complete opposite that you are thinking.

Then what was the reason to even go out there?

Exactly. It's really not that difficult. The whole point was to confront Sheldon with what he could have been if it weren't for his friends and Amy. And even if he might be gushing with the guy over the science and fancy coding seeing what it's like to live isolated in a cabin in the woods is not something Sheldon would actually enjoy. I'm not sure why that would be surprising. lol

That story has been told many times over the years.

And yet you said it would be funnier if Sheldon was still conflicted - so you want them to keep telling it????

There was no point to the storyline IMO period. A different storyline would of been funnier.

Couldn’t be any more boring and predictable that last nights storyline

So between your boring and predictable idea and the writers' boring and predictable idea I'll happily pick the one by the writers. :D

I don’t recall Sheldon having a bachelor party but as you just stated above last nights storyline was boring and predictable. I’m sorry I don’t like watching episodes that are boring and predictable. It’s no secret on this forum that I and many others think the writing on this show has been horrible.

He picked his brains, Sheldon himself said he came back with some fresh ideas for his String Theory research.

Sheldon's really not the type to have a traditional drunken, raucous Bachelor party. Sure he has been drunk on the show before but that's rare and he drinks but he doesn't particularly enjoy it.

A lot of it was okay, and there were some good lines that made me laugh. The guy's story was enjoyable. The girls, not so much. The original bachelorette party premise was amusing, but all the drunken Amy stuff I found lame. My probable response to encountering this one again? You... Just no.

Sheldon got as many ideas for string research as Amy got as many shirtless guys watch her river dance. And as you pointed out Sheldon's not really the type to have a drunken raucous bachelor party. You're right. And that's would be my point in having one

He said he got ideas from it all I can do is take his word for it that he did.

Hasn't it already been done with Howard though?

Howard's bachelor party was back in season 5. The Sheldon need Amy storyline has been told many times including this season.

Yes, because it's funnier when he is conflicted.

My two favorite lines came from the guys. Leonard's take on the Shit eating grins and Sheldon's "I'm from Texas and I know the difference between squirrel and rabbit. Wondering what Kaley thought the lines of eating rabbit since she just recently adopted two rabbits"?

If Sheldon is not conflicted about his relationship with Amy, then he's no longer Sheldon and more like Leonard and Howard. Sheldon is suppose to be different.

Well, it was work. She must not have to agree about it as it was about Penny , not herself.

I think the change over Wolcott came right after Wolcott told the guys about his long distance marriage. About how they never see eachother so they could devote themselves to science. He knew this is what his life could have become if he hadn't met Amy. He knew that from the break-up, from Amy being away in New Jersey for a couple of months that he would not be fulfilled and happy in a relationship like Wolcotts. His seeing how Wolcott lives only further proved to him that he is no longer only a man of science. He is a man of Amy. I think this is a wonderful realization to have at a bachelor party.

Yeah, but deep down it had to eat at her a bit. She's like Betty White, all into anti animal cruelty. But then again Karl is the vegitarian in their relationship and Kaley eats meat. :icon_cheesygrin:

But people change and grow up...
