This was a really good one. I don't know what it is. But the writing has really picked up backend of the season. I think George is one of the best casting the show has done. Way better then Meemaw and Randall. I Thought alot of it tied into Sheldons character. And I have not watched alot of YS. But good too see them maintaining cannon. I thought Jerry O"Connell was great. Exactly how you would imagine George to be. Very different to Sheldon. Sheldon leaving for Collage. Not understanding the sacrifices that were made. And sure you could argue bit of recton with the whole thanking Leonard. But the amount of times, Sheldon should of thanked Leonard for everything he has done for Sheldon. Outweighs the times Sheldon did. And I guess it fits the story. I Really liked the George/Leonard stuff too. They could really relate to one another. Leonard of course has been like a brother most of Sheldons adult life. So I thought it was good how Leonard could correspond with someone who understood him. 

The pinkeye stuff I Thought was really funny. Great comedic work from all involved. Penny was really funny. Laughing at them. Prob could of been shortened. But I was fine with it. I thought this was another good episode. Prob one of the strongest of the season.

It was a nicely done episode. Some good parts and some not so good. Overall nice.

I really can't think what the programme-makers are playing at. Since the end of S7 they've changed the structure by firstly making Shamy's joke relationship real, and secondly promoting Amy to romantic heroine. A big problem they had was the legacy o0f S4-S7 which had established Amy as utterly unappealing and a horrible person. I would have thought the writers would have tried to overcome this as far as possible by making Amy more appealing and a better, nicer person in subsequent seasons. Instead they've done the opposite if anything. A plausible reason for Sheldon's being with Amy was that she worshipped him - S likes that in a woman. Now that she's got him, on the contrary A treats S with rudeness and contempt, particularly in public.

Consider A in this ep. First when Howard announces the children have pink-eye her reaction is entirely selfish. She abuses H for coming into the same room with her (in his own house!) and doesn't give a damn about the kids. Secondly when A is infected she barges into Penny's apartment and touches everything in her filthy way. Worst is her concealing from poor Sheldon that she has PE. She kinows how he fears infection, but rather than being honest with him or considering his feelings she lies to him about it - an indication of how she'll treat S once they'married.

The writing of Penny is right off. She alsao expresses no concern fror the children she's supposed to love, and allows PE Amy into her home, altho' P knows A's filthy ways better than anybody. And she colludes in A's concealing her PE from S - apparently P hasn't told Leonard about it, who could then decide whether to tell S. It was her duty to S to tell L - S is her real friend in spite of his frequent rudeness, A is incapable of friendship. In general P & L have seen more concerned with getting S off their own hands than whether A is good for him.

Sheldon is sometimes a monster, but he's a character it's possible to care about, and I feel sad for him, betrayed by his friends and facing a life of being abused and deceived and presumably revolted by Amy. And sad isn't what I expect from a sitcom.

Interesting concept, very interesting.

-Why does the cake have to be so plain? At least make it flag shaped.

-Bernadette/Penny sure like family tension. They deserve that kind of wedding gift bag.

-I guess we find out next episode that Amy's great aunt would've been available.

-Raj has the best pets. We get it with the reproduction jokes though, the show makes it seem like Raj has more siblings than the Duggars. 

-I'll get it out of the way here, I don't care about Georgie or any of his tiresome (yes Sheldon that is great, don't listen to Leonard) talk about his profession. The biggest failing of Young Sheldon for me is that it completely ruins the context of Sheldon's childhood. Instead of actually having gone through a tough period in his life, now it's rewritten as everybody protecting him so that they can get away with making a bunch of closed-minded Texans seem like good people. Throwing out all realism. I also would have minded this less if it was a plot earlier in the season, but to have it be the penultimate chapter kind of hurts the flow. They could've made the wedding a two parter instead and gave more time to every family member, not just Georgie.

-Walking Dead theme. Still less ugly than that dress.

-I used to play with those beads in waiting rooms. *high fives Penny for having a naturally sanitary defense against bacteria like me despite what I touch*

-Fruity Gratooty. 

-Now for the next rant, spoilers for finale. THAT'S how they end Raj for Season 11? We don't see an answer, we don't see him with anyone at the wedding, and oh yeah....WHAT HAPPENED TO USING THE PLANETARIUM? Why was that line even said? The end of 1117 makes it sound like that was the new plan to avoid Kripke's terms. Did the writers chicken out of a new milestone for Raj that would've happened there? I'll talk more about Stuart in my next post, but damn, Raj might take longer than Stuart to get married.

Bill talks about these smart programmers he knew that were accepting others idiosyncrasies. These characters are over the top for effect and humor. It mostly works for me. Except when it doesn't.

As someone who spent his formative years being bullied (and was also bullied quite recently), I don't think Leonard should be finding George bullying Sheldon funny.
