Did Lenny have theirs 8 years to the day ? It was after 8 seasons of TBBT but we didn't know what time of year it was when they met Penny. She was dressed in hot weather clothes but since they have temperatures in the 70sF  whre they live it was hard to tell what month it might have been.

Lenny met on 24 September, 2007, the date of the broadcast of the pilot.  Sheldon even mentions that date in another episode (season 8’s The Focus Attenuation.  Their first wedding was broadcast on in 9-1 on 21 September, 2015, however, as that was a continuation of 8-24, from May, so it’s difficult for o figure out the exact date.

Unless I'm mistaken, Glamour is the only source that mentioned deleted scenes being uploaded to cbs.com. I wonder if they'll appear tomorrow, or if CBS decided not to release them, after Steve Holland gave his interview. I also find it odd that, if they were intending on releasing deleted scenes via their website, wouldn't there have been a brief ad during the telecast to alert viewers?

Looks like it. 😉

Hmmm... It was...good I'd say, but I found it too corney/sacharrine and that damaged my overall enjoyment. There have been funny moments (my biggest LOL was Sheldon's reaction to Hamill, wonderful job by Jim there!) but they were just asides... Overall it felt to me kind of like a Shamy fanfic, and not in the good way.

Amy's mom wasn't that big a hoot IMO. She was as expected. Her dad's hanging joke was the best Fowlers moment to me.

There have been many corny moments... I'm including Penny's reprimend of Amy's mother... Sheldon loves Amy and would never hurt her... What is this, a Disney movie? They could have her say something much more Penny and funny at that. Her shutting Mary was funnier IMO, Mary does have a tendency to gloat at a "rival's" defeat.

The vows... too much for me. I watced with my mom and she found it very OOC. I definitely agree on Sheldon, I expected some clever science/sci-fi metaphors, the speechless thing suited Leonard (10×01) but doesn't suit Sheldon at all. Amy's I could love with because they did get some jokes there and mainly because Mayim just played it beautifully.

I liked the enlightment line, it is so true for Sheldon! He is indeed an enlightment guy, thinking there are these truths to uncover. I guess I also just enjoyed understanding the joke haha

As I said before I found Howard using his opportunity with Hamill for Sheldon OOC. Leonard would do that, not Howard.

Missy and George were good IMO

Leonard and Penny once again being great friends.

Amy knowing Lord of the Rings also felt OOC.

Hamill crying was just weird IMO.

Overall it reminded me of the 200th (Sheldon's birthday party), all bow to the Golden Boy/Couple and hell with keeping thing IC and also in the series' general tone. Now that the golden wedding is over I hope we get something better in season 12.

What did he do better than Wil, the other bearded fellow from the other Star Wars Trek thing ?

I guess I'm a Hamill over Wheaton guy. I may still hold a grudge over his part in Lenny's breaking up in Season 3.

I'm in total agreement. I couldn't have said it better myself. I did get a few giggles though.

I really liked 'take charge' / 'cut the crap' Penny we saw in this episode.

The cold opening was great.  I think it is in character for Amy to know about Lord of the Rings - that's the kind of fantasy lit I can see a young Amy reading. So, I don't think that was out of character.

Still irked on Amy not wearing her glasses.  I hate the 'ugly duckling' trope for women.

Count me as disappointed we didn't see the Hawking scene.

I think the guest stars:  Georgie, and Amy's parents, were really outstanding.  The "These are the people I'll be living with after you die" was really funny.  We've come to expect good stuff from Laurie Metcalf.  I loved how she got Jesus in the vows and that she got called on it.  Too bad Christine Baranski couldn't be there.

The commercial break in the middle of the show was almost long enough for me to forget what show I had been watching.

Even if that isn't the case we just had an episode where Amy made some effort to be able to talk nerdy with Sheldon so this could easily be the result of that as well. Maybe the next time they watched LotR she paid attention for once and there you go. If Penny can pick up these references over the years so can Amy.

But a woman’s wedding day is different.  I myself wear glasses and absolutely hate wearing contacts.  The only two times I would is 1. if I’m going swimming at a public place (I gotta be able to see since I’m blind as a bat without corrective lenses of some kind...lol) and 2.  My wedding.  I wanted to look as perfect as possible and corrective lenses on my face isn’t a “perfect” look.

With all the hype the show IMO was an overall disappointment. I can see the point of the view of the show being longer but I'm not sure that could of helped. I liked Amy parents. They were spot on.. Quite honestly Mary was a disappointment. The scene with Sleldon and her discussing the father was too long and a bit OOC. I get it was a set up for the assymetry bit but I could done without out that. Sheldon taking off would of been more believable. I liked Penny shooting down the mothers. To me she was the star from the regulars. Enjoyed Howard and actually Raj. I liked Hamill but IMO it's because he got in the Amy of the bows. I watched the episode twice and still don't remember well. Amy was fine in the episode. Quite frankly Sheldon looked like a supporting character which again I'm fine with. What was the point of a pregnant Missy? I like Stuart and Denise but what's the point if they don't hook up? Amy glasses should of been worn. It was OOC for Sheldon not to make a comment about that. Agree the commercial break was too long and cutting the Hawking scene is criminal. ShowiIng it later is too late IMO. Laughed at Kripke at the end.

Overall I think it was a great episode. Imo the balance between comedy and wedding stuff was well done and everyone was involved in the plot. I wished the SH homage had been included  but it was nice as the writers gave us it as a bónus scene.

A few things I would like to point out as I really liked them:

Mark Hamill was hilarious! I never thought he could fit in so great in a comedy like tbbt. One of my fav was the moment he took from Will Wheaton the notes for the wedding LOL!

Penny and Mrs Fowler, what a great moment! Penny is always great to defend her friends. Love that side of her.

The Fowlers were an inspired cast! Teller only said two words but he was who made me laugh more! His gesture to Amy as she asked how he was doing was priceless! Kate was the perfect Mrs Fowler , every thing we have heard from Amy about her fitted so well in Kate performance! I hope we could see more from these two.

The tag with Kripke singing, lol! Shamy weird looks at him as he sang was priceless!

And Kaley cracked up! Haha I don't think this was in the script, I think they didn't retape/edit it because it was reasonable that Penny would laugh at Kripke's singing.

Something pleasant I've noticed this past season is how good Leonard and Penny have become in communicating with each other (despite the painfully missing bedroom scenes). Leonard refilling Penny's wine glass without any mocking was a good piece of visual humor at the beginning of this last episode. Their mutual smirk at the end in front of a hilarious Kripke also showed their rediscovered bonding (imo). :shy:

Said quite a few of the same things on the season 11 thread, but here's what I said there with a few additions.

Things that I liked, in no particular order:
The Shamy science. I think it's a great idea. And Leonard coming in and seeing it and sitting down to go along with it was also great. I think this is going to really be used a lot next season. I don't think it's going to get dropped.
Sheldon telling Amy he loved her so damn much because I never thought I'd ever hear him say the word damn. It's just not his style.
The look on Sheldon's face when he saw Mark Hamill. He owes Howard BIG TIME for that one, and I'm sure Howard won't let him forget it.
Mary's  private talk with Sheldon was sweet and I am so glad Laurie arranged her schedule to be there, although I wish I knew what the hell was up with her hair. She doesn't look good at all the way they had her hair and had her dressed, much as I love her. But that scene leads to one of the worse things for me which I will discuss later.
Sheldon Cooper was speechless, which is also something I never thought I'd see. Those were not vows as I know them, though.
The guest stars were all perfect at their roles and didn't take over the whole thing. I was worried about that.
Teller said thank  you! So many morons think he's really mute I wanted him to say SOMETHING. The in-laws are all comedic gold. I hope they can fit future visits into their schedules.
Denise and Stuart have to have a thing now, at least for awhile. It's set up so beautifully. You have to buy me a dress...hilarious.
Kripke singing...that was also hilarious.

Things I didn't like, also in no particular order:
I still think Amy looks like a pile of used Kleenex in that dress. I hate it. And I didn't think Penny's dress and little flats did her any favors either.
I think it's ridiculous that Sheldon and his mom had to sniffle about George, Sr. being gone. Proves to me that YS is the new cash cow of the future and it's going to really dominate both shows. That is reinforced by my daughter, who told me about the YS ending. I didn't mind losing MeeMaw, but tossing this in was not something I enjoyed.
Mark Hamill wasn't used very well. I found his sniffling annoying. But I do have to concede he was great with Howard.
They left out the Hawking tribute. Steam came out of my ears when I waited for that and got nothing. I was so looking forward to it. They could have done that without Sheldon getting teary over his drunken dad and I would have been more satisfied.

I'm sorry to say that according to the, show I will not name, everything Sheldon said about his dad and brother never happened. So we have to go on believing that both Georges were really saints while Sheldon was growing up. That 's my "Harry Potter" reference in this thread. 😊

It's not a good idea to wear contact lenses while swimming.

Women can look hot in glasses, as Penny (among others) demonstrated.

ETA: I didn't think Amy/Mayim could get any more beautiful, but, having seen the sneak peeks for this episode, it turns out I was very wrong.

Indeed they can, no argument there. But if she isn't comfortable wearing glasses, or if she'd rather prefer to ditch em from time to time, then she must be allowed to do so. Case in point: me. I've always hated wearing glasses even though my friends say I look fine in them. I switched to contacts as soon as I could, and now I wear them most of the time.

And this isn't directed towards you, but on a general note, choosing to forego glasses is in no way OOC. Amy is defined by her quirkiness, her kindness, her brilliance, among several other attributes. Glasses ain't one among em.

I see no problem at all with her not wearing glasses, it's an emotional event with crying (tears of joy) and all that, glasses also potentially steaming/fogging up.

Makes sense that she wouldn't wear glasses and would wear contacts instead IMO.

I don't think Amy was wearing contact Ients, as she put her gIasses on to read the equations SheIdon wrote on the mirror and off as soon as Penny asked them to proceed with the ceremony; she just went gIasses free for a day, maybe this is a continuity error, I don't think it's a huge deaI, most peopIe do that on their wedding day

Being emotionaI whiIe wearing contact Ients is not very comfortable either, IoI!
