Season 11 Episode Tournament

We are running an episode tournament to find people's favorite episodes from the eleventh season of The Big Bang Theory. You can vote for eight episodes in the nominations round to progress to the knock-out rounds.

When you submit your nominations you will be given a link to you share your nominations here or on social media if you wish.

Please only vote once during the nominations round. Systems are in place to detect duplicate votes. Repeat offenders may be blocked from voting.

Do the eight episodes I nominate get scored according to the order I nominate them (ie. first choice gets 8 points, second choice gets 7 point, and so on), or does each get just one point, for each person who nominates it?

No surprise at the episode which is currently joint first 🙂, but I'm surprised Proposal Proposal isn't on the list.

All the nominations are worth one point from each person.

I was more interested in the poll about which character you are most like...Sheldon is leading by a sizable margin, which kind of surprised me.

This is the third one I've done. Though my problem in both Season's 9 and 10's polls was that I struggled to pick, I would go through them and already pick 8 and wanted to add more lol (which led to lots of chopping and changing). This time I went through all 24 and ended up with only 6 lol.

But I have submitted my top 8 😊

Problem with 9 and 10, is they are both garbage LOL, sorry just being honest. ATM Guess whos leading the votes? 11x01 and 11x24. To be expected. But I am hoping the Cream rises to the top. The S11 Finalie was nice. But def not best episode of the season imo. Can't see Bitcoin their at this stage. Or The Tenant Dissassoication. OR The Novelization etc. But well see.

I will reframe from participating in this endeavor. It seems too shamy centric. The episodes where Sheldon looks bad have been not included. This appears to be a shamy love fest.  Definitely not for me.

Did you expect anything less. I don't blame you. Any tournament on this forum is heavily bias against all that is not Sheldon or Shamy as is the show.

I've come to be pessimistic when it comes to anything good happening for Lenny these days. It's all sheldon/shamy and screw everyone else. The writers seem to think that the remaining cast are nothing more than minions for shamy.

Having a glance at the episodes selected. IT does seem a Shamy lovefest yes. Unless were watching TBS. I am not sure you can pick 8 good episodes from this season. I struggled LOL. Other than Bitcoin. I thought the season was average at best. Ironically Bitcoin does not seem to be getting any love. 11x01 and 11x24 dominating the votes. To be expected I guess. With Majority of this forum being Shamy fans. And I guess maybe other fans coming from elsewhere. Are we voting based on shipping moments and/or milestones. Or Quality of the writing? I thought the S11 Finalie was nice. Def not episode of the season.

It would be more difficult to pick the 8 worst episodes. So many choices.

Just looked at the list and the descriptions for each episode and sheldon is mentioned in the first sentence in most of the episodes

The word quality is meaningless unless people can agree what it means. I don't think we do. Frankly I don't think the quality is what changes from episode to episode.

There are a bunch of elements I like to see in order to give an episode an excellent rating but I bet most everyone has different criteria.

I think imdb is probably the closest. Certainly not anything on here

In terms of what makes an episode good or bad is subject to each person's opinion. Case in point, S10/E9 "The Geology Elevation", I thought was great due to Sheldon's jealousy of Bert causing him to continuously hurt himself. Now Sheldon lovers or some Shamy's probably didn't care for that Episode for the same reason. Everyone has an opinion.

Well I meant Quality is subjective. I was simply asking are ppl voting specifically for the fact Sheldon got married. Or quality of writing. Now I agree quality can be many definitions to different ppl. But quality with this show, is far and few between currently. Not as consistent. So I could pick two episodes this season I thought were good. I thought Bitcoin Entanglement was the seasons best. But top 8 not their.

As far as I recall I did not like bitcoin much. It does not surprise me it was not selected in the top eight.

Yeah, not literally everyone hated everything about the episode but there were tons of angry discussions about why Sheldon was the worst yet again so I'm not entirely sure that many people (on here at least) have such fondness for the episode as a whole, hence why I'm not surprised it doesn't get that many votes.

I have an aversion in general to episodes where something is retroactively written in. That would include the wedding with zack, the boat kiss and the bitcoin.

Well, the reaction that most of the Lennies on here had when it comes to certain parts of the Bitcoin episode (and I think you know the parts I’m talking about) was definitely NOT an angry one. Quite the opposite. Just have a look at the Lenny thread around the time when the episode aired. 😉
