Yeah, it sure looks like your area is getting a double whammy.  So take care and stay safe

Yeah, we're gonna get a lot of rain and some wind. The tracks for both storms now have them headed to Louisiana, Mississippi and the Texas coasts. When they first started talking about Laura, we were the target one. But it's been drifting farther West. We're watching and honkering down.

There's hardly any difference  between a Cat 3 and Cat 4 except wind speed. But I stayed during a Cat 3 and ran from a Cat 4. I guess because a Cat 3 is just a hurricane and a Cat 4 is a "major" hurricane. That little word "MAJOR" scares the hell out of me!

Cat three is also a major hurricane.  But stay safe with Sally.

True. Sally is starting to scare me a bit. It's gotten stronger so fast with the track veering  a bit more to the East. We still haven't got too much rain or wind.

Well, seems like Sally's anger is beginning to calm down a bit. We've lost a portion of our privacy fence. We're still getting heavy wind and rain, but only in gusts. We never lost power for more than 5 minutes. So all in all, not that bad.

Oh well, here we go again. Hurricane Delta is coming. Cat 4 with 145 MPH winds. Supposedly headed to either Texas or Louisiana. With what happened with Sally, I'm keeping an eye on the storm. It can easily change direction and this one is a monster.

Hopefully the folks in Louisiana and East Texas have battened down the hatches and have hunkered down for Delta. It's a monster.

Damn those people have had enough storms to last a lifetime. Hope everyone stays safe

Yeah they have. Delta is hitting exactly where one hit about 6 weeks ago. We still have debris from a few weeks ago. Santa Rosa County is a bit slow on the pick up.

Well, seems that Delta is taking a shot at Mobile, Pensacola and points east with the outer bands of the storm. We're currently under a Tornado Warning until 1 PM. Getting rain now with more coming.

You guys have been busy this year.

Yeah, busy is right. Even when we don't get the head on shot, we're on the Eastern side. That is the strongest side. We had a Tornado Warning last night and a Tornado Watch until midnight. It was a very interesting night. To make matters worse, there's a possible storm forming again in the Caribbean Sea. November 30th can't get here fast enough.

Oh, we can still get storms after November 30.   December is the second most active storm month(after May),  outside of Hurricane season.  Although, good news, such storms don’t normally hit the US, and if they do, it’s usually as a tropical storm.

Don't I know it.

I got to say "Thank goodness Hurricane season is officially over"! The season is over in name only. There has been a storm or two that has formed in December in the past, hopefully not this year. With that said, dang, it's cold this morning. I had to wear long pants for the first time all year. It feels strange with long pants on.  😊
