Alrighty,  I am taking shelter in here for the rest of the season. I am so excited about the new season. I loved the sneak previews. All of them. They make me smile, especially the last one with them waking up and the whole husband and wife thing. So adorable! I love they are going to be working together this season on thier theory. I loved that Amy is still Dr. Fowler. She is as well known in her field as Sheldon is in his. I think a change of name is not needed. I love the idea of FWF with them being rock stars. I hope we get at least one one of those little internet shows. I am very curious about professor proton. I was not a fan of the last one he was in, perhaps this will be a better one. I wonder if it will be an in law related problem he needs help solving or a work related one and sharing credit with an idea? In any rate I am beyond excited for this season as well as very sad. I can't believe this is the end.

Thank you. I've got to wait perhaps an hour to see this. I wonder what I'll be doing this time next year instead of waiting for the first episode of a TBBT season ?

Watched 12X01, Mr. Fowler and Mrs. Fowler are just priceless. So funny.

Sheldon and Amy are so sweet together, I don't mind the "arguing" because I thought I could understand the reasons from both of them. And, in the end, they talk about the issue, and make a satisfied solution. That's what it matters.

Amy's answer to Sheldon's question on the bench reminds me when she was talking about how Sheldon believes that Time Travel is on a closed loop in 11X24, I just love these sexy science talk between them. SO MUCH.

OK, and I can't believe they used the hot dogs for that scene, I laughed so hard on this one, seriously.

Just watched the episode - Shamy were really adorable! ❤️

What I enjoyed the most was of course the death of the stupid annual birthday sex running gag! FUCKING FINALLY!! (pun intended lol)

I also thought it was pretty fitting how they solved it. Apart from the fact that I think it's a bit weird that the writers waited until marriage to solve this but I guess even they can't sell the nonsense idea any more when Shamy have already been shown to be more comfortable and intimate before so it's all just a bit overdue. (And no, they didn't actually put their religious/strict upbringing forward as a reason as to why Shamy would do that so Idk)

Anyway... that aside it's a new step in Shamy's relationship and of course Sheldon would try to deal with that the best way he knows so everything's gotta be on schedule. Sure, we have a bit of a "Sheldon is still Sheldon" moment but what I do like is that he's not annoying because he's egoistical and doesn't care about Amy's needs but because it's the opposite and he tries to be a good husband and tries to anticipate Amy's needs for intimacy.

Of course this in an of itself would be a bit ho-hum if it weren't for their final scene where it's made clear that despite all his claims to be not a very physical person Sheldon's motor sure is running the moment Amy says anything smart. lol I think just like with his feelings Sheldon needs to accept that he's human after all and clearly has, you know, certain needs and turn ons as well.

Can't wait for the Shamy love fest next week! haha

Just had time to read the second new interview, thank you @mirs1 for posting it HERE......

My opinions:

1. They have already written 6 or 7 episodes before they found out that S.12 would be the last season.  So, up until now, those spoilers that we already know about were not part of the "big ending" or something, just S.12 stuff. Like the plots about the Fowlers in 12X01, I thought there would be some more behind their fight, but I think they were here more like a "tool" in 12X01......Hopefully they will have more funny interactions with Shamy in the future.

2.  Quote: "I don't want this whole season to feel like one long farewell. "

Was he talking about the last season of How I Met Your Mother? LOL.  That ending of HIMYM was just awful, on so many levels, dear God. UGH.

3. I think TPTB already got the big picture of the ending in mind, just not details, of course.

4. Mary and Beverly, of course, they should be back. YES!!!

5. And the "fight" - "first big post-marriage fight" no less:   Seeing him calling Amy "strong, independent scientist" made me so happy, because you know, sometimes, you hope TPTB see things in the same way with youself, or else, you might face some frustrated situations. I want to see the "reverse" in this fight, as in "Amy is the main one, Sheldon is the supportive one",  and I'm curious about how PP fits with this situation.

6. We've talked about having Sheldon discover a videotape he made as a kid as a fun way to use Iain Armitage as young Sheldon in a flashback. We have talked about Amy and Sheldon going to a flag convention and being superstars there.

BOTH of these NEED to happen, please!!!

LOVE your post as always, and I want to say, I think the reason that "Sheldon is just not a physical person" is more believable to me than any other reasons, and like you said here:

Yes, this is so true and actually got proved before for a few times, I'm happy this happens again, LOL.

Indeed! The thing is, in the past there were a lot of fights cause the show was always so damn vague about ~Sheldon's deal~ and they could have made things clearer one way or another.

I think by now it's pretty clear that 1) Amy is his deal, and 2) in the past his way of dealing with life has been to suppress his human side in favour of some ill-conceived ideal of a purely intellectual, rational being (or a brain in a jaw lol) which is something that's just not gonna work. First his emotions came more and more to the surface and now it's his, you know, physical needs.

I guess also, the idea that "sex can happen at any time" now that they are married (it could have also before but, ugh, writers gonna write, I guess) probably also helps. Like, he has flirted with Amy like that before (see the magical S10) but hasn't literally dragged her into the bedroom then. Well, looks like he will now! lol

~~~
BTW. What happened to the plants?? Like, there were always plants in Shamy's living room and suddenly they were gone??? LMAO
You know, before the TR of 12X01 came out, I actually was wondering what they were gonna write for another Amy's birthday in 12X11, LOL. Because back then, this once a year thing was "so important" to them...But now, I'm happy they are finally focusing on something else.
I think, in 11X24, after Amy's perfect answer and his "I love you so damn much", he could drag her into the bedroom for sure, but nonetheless, the next day would be the wedding day, so it would happen anyway, hahaha.
I wish there were more of Fowlers' plots after Lenny left 4B in this episode, it felt kinda unfinished to me, though.
That is the only way I could stand YS in the show and yes, yes, yes about the flag convention.
Wasn't the lego breakfast as cute as could be?
I want to see Amy's parents at least once more. Teller was awesome.
Penny was lying about the plants to catch Mr Fowler out. She didn't believe his reason for being there - who would when Amy has friendly neighbours to do it ?
ETA I watched the 4B scenes again and the plants are gone ! What ? Are they away on vacation somewhere?
OK, I thought the "hot dogs scene" was the only one that had "explicit sex metaphor", but I just noticed the "two pieces that interlock with a satisfying snap" and what Amy said about "some sound that Sheldon was making" in the cold open......
What the actual...???    TPTB really went there, didn't they?   Hahaha.
LMAO.
The opening scene was really sweet, I loved how they called each other "wife" and "husband". This makes me squeal every time I hear it.
The Fowler´s were great, I got goosebumps and when Amy´s mother mother was picking up her husband´s trail and called out for him.
(I get "Shining" and "Misery" feelings when I hear her screaming 😍)
I wouldn´t mind if Amy´s father stays a while, he´s adorable and so hilarious, just the way he was sneaking back into his daughter´s apartment was funny.
Or his "Oh you caught me in a lie, well bye" (or something like that) and runs off. LOL
I also loved Sheldon´s little Lego breakfast joke, he´s so cute, when he´s acting funny.
I melted a bit, when he confessed that he wants to be a good husband and that he therefore wanted to plan their sex life, as he feared to forget to do it (don´t worry Shelly your body will remind you, every time Amy starts with her sexy science talk that gets your motor running 😉) and Amy assured him that she will never want anyone else than him.
Can´t wait for the next episode!
Thank you! I'm so annoyed that they didn't adress this issue during the 10x23/10x24/11x01 story arc. Sheldon had no problem with spontaneous "frenzied love making" (without a pre shower!) when Amy left for Princeton, but they didn't do it after they got engaged to celebrate? I mean, whaaaat?
Anyway, I'm certainly curious how they handle this from now on...
I know that from myself, too. Some kind of a "scattered professor" behavior. 😀
I thought Shamy were adorable in the episode last night!  So cute and sweet in the coffee shop.  I loved hearing Sheldon tell the couple at the table “my wife.”  It almost felt like a fan fic.  They are still in the honeymoon phase, I guess writers getting us ready for their first big fight as a married couple.  But I loved the episode.
I can't deny that. Thanks, Leonard and Penny. 😉
Finally got around to watching it.
I really enjoyed this episode more than the premiere, in fact if this had been the season opener instead I wouldn't have complained.
Enjoyed the Shamy interactions a lot especially as they were trying to figure out what the hell the gift was and how it later bugged them at night in bed trying to figure out its purpose.  Sheldon was ready to cave and ask them what it was but Amy didn't want to give up that easily lol.
I enjoyed seeing them making a leap and going on that scavenger hunt, it was great to see them back at the coffee shop and I also enjoyed the interactions with Bert.  It was enjoyable to see them kind of on a bit of a wild goose chase but still it worked out, and them working together as a team and taking something positive from the experience was great to see.  The locket and sunglasses lol, they are so in love with each other they see simple objects and turn it in something that represents their relationship in some kind of way, LOVED IT!
I had wondered at the end if perhaps they figured out or it was made known to them by someone else in the group that it was a goose chase hence why they locked Leonard and  Penny out the wifi at the end with a Sanskrit puzzle to pay them back lol.  But then this is Shamy, it would totally be in character for them to reciprocate a challenge by setting one for Leonard and Penny as a way of thanking them for the fun they just had lol.
Really enjoyed Shamy in this one! 😊
I do think it was payback at the end. The tone was too sarcastic IMO.
Hm. I don't think Lenny had a vicious intention with her wedding gift for Shamy. A funny ulterior thought certainly. Also I don't believe in a revenge of Sheldon and Amy. They had too much fun building and solving the supposed mystery.  😀
(Btw. I don't think a common WLAN router understands specialized Sanskrit. But that's RL, LOL)
Seeing how Lenny were practically glowing with schadenfreude and Leonard said the gift made them miserable I'm gonna go with that their intentions weren't particularly pure here. And Shamy's puzzle being in Sanskrit is a strong hint here that eventually figured it out by the end.
It was a puzzle they had to solve and the answer was the router password.
Finally I had the chance of watching the ep2 and I really enjoyed it. I have enjoyed it much more than the premiere , which seemed imo a kind of  recycled plot before s11for the reasons some of you have pointed out since monday.
In this epidode , Shamy were so funny and adorable, not mentioning their married couple bliss, which I loved so much!  They came back to that coffee shop  where they met really made me happy! How much adorable was the way Sheldon said "my wife"? I truly melted here with a huge smile on my face! ❤
What I most loved about this Shamy plot was the way they are so in sync that even  those situations they may be  wrong like they were about lenny wedding gift, they were also in sync  for the worst , lol! I mean, only Shamy could see same kind of clues that could lead  to a non existence Scanvenger hunt with a resolution in a end,ahah! Loved it so much as they were so ic and adorably doing things they love do together! :wub:
Btw,I hope that gift can close the cycle one day and be back to Raj! :icon_cheesygrin:
