Perhaps Amy's parents drop off more wedding presents that came from that side of the family? Not everyone in the family might have the apartment address.

Don't presents from people who can't come get sent with the RSVP ?  Otherwise that's a good idea.

I'm just glad Amy's already got her skeleton, otherwise they'd be delivering bones.

Not necessarily.

I'm still super pissed that they cut out the Hawking gift scene. If they revisit ANYTHING it should be that as far as I'm concerned.

Indeed. Not everybody knows there are extra scenes to be accessed from the CBS site or youtube. I hope they'll be shown under 'previously' at the beginning of 12.01.

That would be perfect.

I am still hoping against hope that even if she works with Sheldon on science we will see her working on some of her own projects still. She's so funny when she's with Howard.

I'm kind of torn on this.

On the one hand I'm all for seeing Amy working on her own stuff or other projects with say Howard for example (she is my fav character, a well respected and renowned scientist in her field and Mayim has great chemistry with Simon in terms of comedy) however I wasn't much of a fan of Sheldon's behaviour last time especially in the lab.  There is playful jealously and then there is being a bit of an arse over it, he was straying more to the latter IMO.  I guess my fear would be we would see more of that if those reactions/responses from Sheldon if Amy working with others came up again.

Though if you could guarantee me Sheldon would be fine with it and not trying to interfere then of course I would take those type of storylines for Amy.

Sheldon needs to realize she came to work there because they had projects for her to do. I know they drop them as they please but they should not. That is Amy's "real" job now.

Just a heads up that the wiki was edited a good number of hours ago about the first episode of season 12 that basically said that in the episode our Sheldon has been accused of sexual harassment by six grad students. I dug deeper and I discovered that this story came from a news site called "The Onion". Thankfully this site is a satire and I do not believe that this is true anyhow. Anyway I edited the wiki back to the original way it was before as best I could and so I just wanted to post this on here just in case anyone went onto the wiki and saw this under Episode 12.01 on Season 12 🙂

I've read something about it yesterday, it was obviously a hoax, not really surprised it made it to the TBBT wiki, it's the kind of unreliable stories they love to share, LOL! Actually, I thought it was a "hilarious" joke (as much as sexual harassment can be considered hilarious) considering it is about Sheldon. They even said that he ended up harassing women in the workplace since a girl turned down having sex with him as a teenager....speaking about retconning, ahahah!

More seriously, although the kind of things the article are unbelievable when it comes to Sheldon, they are totally something that happens every day...

You'd be surprised how many people think the Onion is real.

I did not know that satire site, thanks for your edit on wiki and sharing info here. Even the fans who follow close the show would not get that info as real as there was not happened the season premiere taping yet. But just in case for the more distracted ones 😉

More shocked how many 'real' events seem to have come straight from the onion.

"These days" people will often post a re-Tweet of a statement or headline with the heading "Not from The Onion"

Meaning someone actually said or did the following.....it's amazing and sad at the same time.

It is indeed. My granny once told me if it said  "reuter" at the end of an article it was true. I was amazed by the idea there would be anything in a newspaper that wasn't true. My excuse is I was about eight years old.

I wonder, though, as they get more and more into Young Sheldon, how many memories Sheldon will start having on TBBT about his childhood that he has never talked about before. Do you think Sheldon and Amy will have more talks about their childhoods?

Just watched the SDCC panel and the writers seemed very excited to explore Sheldon's childhood in the main show; if this will be done by introducing characters from YS (as they will do with Tam) or just by him speaking about his past more, I have no idea. Anyway, I would love if this is an opportunity also to know more about Amy's background...not holding my breath for it, though!

I'm sure there'll be at least one other weird anecdote from her mom. lol

Perhaps as happened with Sheldon and his brother, we hear the other side of some story Amy has told about growing up. That could be interesting. It was done pretty well with George.

Judging by what we've seen from her mom I'd say Amy's take is pretty accurate. But I'd love to find out more about the role of her dad in all of this. I don't think they'll change the joke of Teller barely speaking but maybe her mom will drop some hints.

Mom seems bossy and loud, but not abusive as other fans have claimed.  Personally I've never thought so, but it is a common topic of conversation.

I'd like to hear the other side of putting a child in a sin closet.

The thing that made fans think she was abusive was the "sin closet" - before that most also just thought of her as overprotective but well-meaning, maybe a little odd. But locking her daughter in a closet for hours was just crossing a line.

Now, it's probably just a joke gone bad cause when Amy told the anecdote she didn't present it as particularly traumatising and if you look at all the other anecdotes from her past they are all different levels of terrible.

Good point. None of the things she said abut her mother, such as how she was told to eat a banana and why she couldn't be a Girl Scout, have a note of complaint in them.

But did the mom call it that, or is that a name Amy made up for it? We don't have enough details about it to suit me. And Kathy Bates didn't play the mom the way Amy seemed to describe her anyway. The mannerisms of the first actress, as short as we got to see them, seemed to bear that out more.
