I still watch at least one episode most evenings. We have twO carriers that show them most nights.

Same for me  I can watch episodes every week night. To throw this out there my favorite seasons are in order:

6, 7, 8, 9, 3, 5, 2, 10, 1, 11, 12, 4

That's a good order. But, for me, it should end with 4, 12, 11. I didn't care for a whole season of Shamy wedding planning!

Season 6 is truly great , certainly my favourite. As a Lenny , season 4 really grew on me, hated it at first , especially the last episode but now I like it a lot , it's a different kind of L/P i guess. I remember skipping a few episodes to get to 4*24 to see if there was some movement on the Lenny front, what a shock to my system ....

12 was bad and yet I loved how Leonard was written that season, finally deciding to not put up with everybody's crap, a good supportive friend to Shamy during the Nobel quest, supportive of Penny's decision...

Season 10 is the one i don't care for. Started beautifully, some good episodes here and there  then went downhill after the Xmas episode , the seconf half was dreadful i thought.

Seasons 9 and 10 had Lenny weddings. But even then, the writers had Sheldon pretty much ruin their weddings. The first one he wasn't even there. 11 and 12 were the worst for me. I recorded the episodes and fast forwarded the Shamy/Sheldon parts.

I find that I can enjoy later seasons knowing that Penny and Leonard are happy and love each other very, very much. There are some great moments. Bitcoin in Season 11 was wonderful making it a fact of Penny’s long standing love of Leonard. Season 12’s Imitation Perturbation with Penny admitting she really did remember the first kiss from S. 1 Middle Earth Paradigm. How she supported Leonard to Beverly in 12.22’s Maternal Conclusion is wonderful (and how was Johnny not at least nominated for an Emmy for that performance!) and was so, so loving. I can even watch Season 10’s Celebration Experimentation and Penny in the bathroom with Sheldon. The line “you are ONE of my favorite people” in hindsight says a lot for me. That means Dr. Cooper is part of a list that includes many people that includes all the other characters, save one. Her favorite person in the world and she’s wearing the heart-shaped locket that favorite Roberson gave her in that scene.

Sure there are some scenes and episodes I don’t care for, but all in all, late season TBBT shows me that Dr. and Mrs. Hofstadter are a couple deeply in love.

Interesting how we can think about the seasons differently.  Being a real life nerd (I was playing board war-games, Chess, and programing computers at 14, in 1969 and was definitely socially awkward I started high school at 12)  I liked season one and two and adding the Lenny part made me really like season three

I always loved season four.  Up until then, very seldom did we have an idea of how Penny felt.  The Hamburger Postulate, The Monopolar Expedition were a couple places were we could see it.  But, in season four, several different times we got a view of the depth of Penny's feeling.  Truth or Dare, the costume party on New Year's eve, her crying at his starting to date Priya, her admission to Raj, all gave us some insight into how much she loved Leonard, even if she couldn't voice it.  And, even with Leonard dating other women, he never got too far away from Penny.

Season five seemed to me to be like season 4B,  and 6A, with the division at "Recombination".   Season six was, of course, was the highlight for this Lenny.  Seven was pretty good also.

I strongly dislike 8, 9, and 10, with a few exceptions.  Even the weddings seemed off to me and I resented that for the couple I love.

Seasons 11 and 12 were not that bad for me. I liked how they changed the Lenny dynamic, along with making it more of an ensemble than previous seasons,  This is probably because of Holland taking over as show runner.

As for a shock to the system, with the end of season four, watching it live left me speechless.

It is true we all see the seasons through our own eyes. As i assume we are Lenny fans we all have our favorite episodes and some which we dislike. However to have lasted for 12 years they all had moments we loved. For me the last three years while they had some cherished Lenny moments the focus was mainly on Sheldon/Shamy and I think the producers made a mistake with that and it probably convinced Jim Parsons to make his decision to leave thus ending the show. I realize some of you disliked seasons 8 and 9 but I felt that season 8 especially the first nine episodes were primarily Lenny stories.  The little tiff at the pub "Your scared, I'm scared", Raj bragging to Emily how he bedded Penny, the girls going to Las Vegas with Kaley looking the best I have  ever seen her on TBBT, Dr. Lorvis infatuation with Penny, and the prom episode with Leonard dancing with the prettiest girl at the dance and the nose surgery which showed how much Penny cared for Leonard. Yes, the weddings were a disappointment as Sheldon spoiled both of them with his selfishness in the first one and his obnoxious behavior in the second one ruining what should have been Lenny centric

forgot one episode: when Penny and Leonard had a "discussion" about money and finances with Howard and Bernadette

Mostly I agree. But there was a lot of snarky, insensitive remarks that Penny made to Leonard that she didn't do in the early seasons. The writers had them argue more than earlier or more than the other couples.

True the second half of season 9 and season 10 she was definitely snarky to Leonard and also out of character for her....remember when Raj moved in and Leonard felt like a third wheel in his own marriage.

In Episode 10 - 1 she called him the love of her life. I didn't see that in a lot of Season 11 or 12.  Then in the Viewing Party Episode she took Sheldon's side against her husband. I didn't like that episode as Lenny was shown arguing but not resolving the issue.

True  I didn't like that episode either. And they did not resolve anything with their argument. Why did they focus on Howard's allergy?  Also, in the premiere season 10 episode when saying her vows Penny said that Leonard made her incredibly happy and was so glad he married her.  That happiness did not manifest itself for much of the last two seasons except for the finale.

Regarding season 4 , I wrote hate but that was too strong a word. It's just that Penny was a mess, i really felt for her. But as you said, it was interesting to have some insight on her feelings. Honestly , after the break-up , i was expecting a whole season of Leonard pining after her, it was refreshing to see him being the one to move on, as deluded as he was. " Justice League" has one of my top 5 Lenny moments : " And you.. What about me ? " Such a powerful scene.

They seemed quite happy in season 11 , granted we didn't see much of them but still. i liked the softer interactions between them

Hokie , i wish I could love your post a thousand times ❤️ The Bitcoin episode is a personal favourite , i'm so happy the writers gave us that moment. I think I got just as emotional as the Pop-Tart when watching Penny's splanation. he needed to hear that. Of course he knows she loves him but i'm not sure he was aware of how much she loves him exactly. And she loves him deeply. I don't care what anybody says, the Lenny love is beautiful.

True, we didn't get that many nice moments in the later seasons but what we got to see was quite special , to me at least.

I think you hit the nail on the head.  You have caught the essence of their relationship and no matter how we look at it their love was deep and lasting. You only had to see the way Penny looks at Leonard and how she holds him in the series finale when Sheldon blurts out about her pregnancy to convince anyone of that fact. That was certainly a special moment.

In the later seasons, when all the Shamy hoopla was going on, there were several small moments between them that showed the love between them. Knowing the series ending, I enjoy watching them, regardless of the snarky moments (which all the couples have, a Lorre specialty). I frankly adore Penny and Leonard and their relationship!

As do I. As per Leonard and Penny, he did wear her down.  😉😉

To my surprise the show's still on Netflix UK so I rewatch the first seven seasons a lot , still not tired of them.

The other day, i tried to come up with a list of what i called " good Lenny episodes" for seasons 8-12 , I think i got 12 episodes  altogether :(  And if I watch for the ensemble cast, 20 episodes ( and that was me being generous)

Im currently watching S3 on Netflix. Bit of nostalgia haha. I remember watching that season while I was studying. It’s funny though I miss the community within the show. Then I miss the show itself.

Season 4 was my fav Lenny. As while they weren’t together. It was the first time we saw Pennys perspective. And her true feelings. Season 6 was great as far, as Character development is concerned. 7-10. I feel once Prady stepped back as a head writer. They were diminished some what. S12 was ok.

Personally, I didn't care for Seasons 10 thru 12. Season 11 was all about planning Shamy's wedding. Season 12 was all about Shamy's Nobel. I feel the writers wasted two seasons. But, that's just my opinion. The show we were told was going out with a bang, fizzled out!

I agree  Seasons  11 and 12 were all about Sheldon/Shamy. Season 11 all Shamy planning their wedding; I mean having a whole episode about picking a wedding date!!.  And what bothered me was when Lenny was engaged not one episode did they mention any wedding plans except for the finale which led to that ridiculous plotline of Leonard's transgression on the North Sea expedition. But for me, as a Lenny fan seasons 6 and 7 were my favorites. It depicted how they rekindled their romance, cultivated their relationship by working out any problems they had the first time around, and then finding out how much they truly loved each other, and then ending in that wonderful engagement scene that was truly a Lenny moment.
