Information for Attending a Big Bang Theory Taping

Hi

Question: I have a standby ticket to the taping on 16th next week and am planning to go early to be in line. When I arrive early in the morning, do I have to check in somewhere? Or do I just follow as per the video in this thread and go wait at the corner bench place? 

I am traveling alone from Malaysia and would not want to miss the opportunity so I am going early. Please give me some tips

Hello! I did standby once. There's nowhere to check in that early, so you can go directly to the benches and wait. About 3:30 p.m., someone from Audiences Unlimited will move everyone inside the parking structure, and the group will separate into two lines - standby and guaranteed.

One tip is to get to know the people standing next to you so they can save your place in line when you need to use the bathroom or get something to eat.

I'm actually here in the parking lot line up right now and was the first in line for guaranteed ticket holders :). I actually just happened to check that day and it was there, I do recommend to have your information ready to auto populate, First Name, Last Name, email address etc. One person here said they saw that it was sold out and kept trying and tickets became available, keep trying and good luck. THE FIRST standby ticket holder from the Czech Republic was here at 5AM, I got here at 8AM.

Hey Rob, did you leave your phone with security during the taping and if so were they cool about it or grumpy about you having one with you? Security folks can go both ways, TSA agents are a prime example.

Pretty certain she got in. I arrived a little after 11am and was the 5th regular ticket holder in line. The person I met in line and talked with the entire afternoon who was 4th for regular tickets was watching and we both think about 15 to 20 standbys got in.

If you arrive at the studio at 3, you should make it. If you're getting into the airport at 3, you won't make it.

You should have no problem getting in arriving at 3pm. Audience Unlimited comes and gets folks around 4pm. There will be a long line there by 3, a mixture of stand by and regular. You will also be a ways down in the count of regular tickets. As it is episode 8 being taped, I would not expect an over abundance of VIPs.

We've been to several tapings over last 5 years, arriving any time around 4 is fine as long as you own general admission ticket, you get queue number somewhere between 50 and 100 and that's fine. I would arrive earlier only in case of standby or if some really special guest is announced. Eventually for the last episode as well if they make general admission tickets available for that one at all.
