This is a Merry Christmas for me!

Hello,

I was able to secure a ticket for the 1/22 taping of BBT on 12/24.  However, like a lot of people, I needed to separately get tickets for friends (with no luck).  I was searching for BBT standby tickets on 12/24 (and everyday until now) with no luck.

I tried to Facebook message, e-mail and even call Audience Unlimited phone number multiple times with no response.

I see that they randomly release standby tickets, and from my experience they at least release them on the same day as the guaranteed tickets.

1. What is the longest lag between guaranteed tickets and stand by tickets for BBT?

2. Do they only release tickets during business hours?  i.e. between ~8AM to ~6:00PM?

3. Do they ever not release standby tickets?

I appreciate any insight anyone has.

Thank you,

Garland

Hi Garland. Last year I got guaranteed tickets on New Years Day. The standby tickets went up the next day at about the usual time (about 8:45-9:00 Pacific time). Audiences Unlimited is usually pretty good about returning messages. Maybe there is no one in the office this week due to the Christmas holiday? I'm not sure if standby tickets are only released during business hours, but I have a feeling they are and that it's done manually. I'm not aware of them not releasing standby tickets in the three years I have been looking for tickets.

I hope this helps a little.

Thanks for the insight.  Just e-mailed them again.  Hopefully they will respond.

Standby tickets Released for the 1/22

Yeah ^^

Indeed they were released and are still available as of 9:30AM this morning (~an hour after they were released).  As an update, I got tickets for my friends and I also got finally got a response (a week later) to my e-mail: Hello, A limited number of 'standby' tickets for 1/22 were posted this morning.  Thank you.

So I guess that means even if it sells out now, they are likely to release more in the future.

Best of luck all,

Garland

I was on AU's website around 6:30 P.M. EST, and there were still tickets available. I just checked back, and now it says they're "sold out." Good luck to all ticket-holders, general and standby! :)

My cousin and my nephew are going next week, but they cannot make it early, probably 4:45 earliest.

Has anyone experienced someone with regular ticket staying out? I have been there quite a few times and that was never the case.

There were some regular ticket holders who didn't get in the taping before Thanksgiving (an excess of VIP tickets.)  Last year, when I went, they had the first two rows marked off for VIPs.   This year, the first three rows were taped off.

Getting ready for next week to see the taping!  Quick question about parking in the ramp. The ticket says starting 2 hours before the time - anyone know how early I would have access to the ramp - I'm thinking about arriving around 12 or 1, and would prefer to park in the ramp so I have access to my car for snacks and to drop stuff (including phone) off before the taping.

Thanks again for all the great info on this forum! If anyone else on here is going to the taping on the 22nd - I might see you there!

Rich

Hi Rich! In previous seasons, I've come as early as 1:30 and was able to park in the ramp. I was there again in October about 1:00 and was told we couldn't park there until 3:00 and ended up having to find street parking all the way by gate 8 (long walk, not as convenient to go back, so we kept our phones in the car). Not sure if it was this particular security officer or if they've gotten more strict at adhering to the 2 hours before rule. Maybe others have had different experiences recently.

Enjoy the taping!

got there 3:00, no issues (ok, weather was awful) , and yes, it was huge fun!!!

surprisingly, only about 80 general admission ticket holders showed up (arrivals 16:30 and even later no problem). approximately same number of standbys. some of them got in, no clue how many, not too many! first three rows reserved for and well filled by VIPs.  taping was over by 9PM

one girl told us about disastrous thanksgiving taping where many ticket holders had to stay outside and obviously the number of general admission tickets was reduced afterwards. VIP were also allowed to the set after the taping to take pictures etc ...
