I have to say the same thing about Shamy, they were much more interesting dating than married, married they are boring and the controlling nature of Sheldon does not seem to support a healthy marriage.  I also say that the nerdy quality of Sheldon has dropped significantly over the last few years, to the point he is really not the same character and his interactions with the gang now seem just cruel and selfish instead of funny and excusable.

It don't disagree...if you read my previous post you would see that. As well as my support of a still nerdy character...Stuart.

Huh. Shamy seem to be extremely happy in their relationship...smiling, laughing, enjoying eachothers company. Can same be said for Lenny? Hopefully they will show some happiness driving the Batman car. I would really enjoy seeing that. Been a long while.

If they take their potion of forgetfulness together, they seem pretty happy.

Why, listening to them is a complete waste of my time.

Only because she got him to agree to not mention his schedule ever again.

disagree...he was turned on by her science talk.

Sex is not the only thing that keeps a relationship interesting...you need more then sex to keep a relationship going. Having sex every night does not necessarily make a better relationship then those who have sex less often.

Will, I agree with this part. My great-grandparents had 6 children but they  did not have a happy marriage (my great-grandfather was abusive and cheated a lot) and eventually divorced.

In older married couples especially (after 40) who have been married for 20+ years sex is not the most important thing to them. Marriage after that point is more about companionship, strong bond, mutual respect and health, mature love that is if it a good  marriage

See.

What I would really like to see is them having a mutual interest in something and smiling, talking or laughing over it. To see them truely enjoying eachother. Re mh ember back in the day when they had prom redo? Or when they made a painting together? They need more of that kind of stuff for me to be interested in them.

Neither good sex happens only between pretty or hot people. Physical attraction has limited time as people get older and then the brain is the commander of sucessfull and long relationships.

That is your way of seeing it. I see it as Leonard loving Penny so much that he would be willing to make a huge sacrifice to be with her. He'd rather be with her and not have kids than be with someone else and have kids with that woman.

It's terrific if you see it like that. Your feelings are very valid to you and I respect that. But not everyone has to feel the way you do. And the people who don't are probably doing better this last year. I wish it had not come to this, though. I wanted them to end it before. I had a feeling it was going to turn into a mess.

I get your point but they looked bad at times before Shamy existed.

YES! This is exactly how I see it, too.

Your opinion, just not mine. I didn't see a lot of happeness in NY. Sheldon is happy because of his schedule. Amy is not happy due to his schedule.

And they discuss it, we see them discuss it and they come to a compromise that makes them both happy.

This reminds me of the old joke about there being three types of sex. The first is house sex when a cou0ple first gets married and they have sex all over the house. The second is bedroom sex, when they've been married for awhile and only have sex in the bedroom. The last is hall sex, when they have been married for ages and just pass each other in the hall and say F-U.

I find it interesting though someone like Stuart mentioned that Lenny was the best couple he knew because they complimented each other. It seems to he had no bias like most on this forum do including myself. All I know is couples argue that’s part of life.  You might see their happier times between them if the writers gave them more screen time

Actually, I think they had a great time fooling Sheldon & Amy with the wedding gift.  On screen they enjoyed seeing them perplexed by the gift.  I imagine that off screen when they were deciding on giving them the gift, they had a great time as well.  Often, when they are united with anti-Sheldon sentiments, they (lately anyway) are quite in-tune.....

But not at Stewart's expense. The show needs his still nerdy, funny self.

Meh...Sheldon and Amy had a better time doing a scavanger hunt for their supposed real gift. I enjoyed that Lenny gave them that little mystery to solve. I am glad Lenny is leaving the apartment in the next episode. I look forward to the Bat Mobile.

I agree this was in character for Leonard. As you state it would not be a dealbreaker because IMO, Leonard has sacrificed and given up alot to be with Penny and I think has been hurt several times by her actions. Also, wouldn't they have discussed this topic about babies in the past. I cannot understand after 12 years of knowing each other, approx. 3 years of dating, one year of engagement and now  3 years of marriage she didn't say once to him that she may not want children. Seems strange to me but I guess this is the way the writers will possibly give them a meaningful storyline.

Add to that that about 3 years ago she said she did want kids. This is what happens when the writers never plan and do not follow their own material, they just wing it. Works for jokes I guess, hurts other aspects.

I never said everyone feels or should feel as I do. You quoted me and took what I said to a negative direction, so I explained my view, to explain that I wrote that as a positive.

Yes. Huge fan. Just not a Lenny fan in particular. I enjoy watching really strong personalities. As I said before I would be fine without Young Sheldon cast making appearences. I just assume you give extra time from Young Sheldon over to Lenny. I don't care about adult Tam, adult Paige or Georgie or Missy. At least give them a chance to leave the apartment  or find something they both enjoy. With a great past few seasons with Shamy I don't mind them being happy in the background for a bit. Just do something interesting with Lenny if you are going to put Shamy in background. Like I said, I enjoyed prom redo...they were very cute and happy in that episode. I liked when Leonard was going to write a murder mystery. I thought that the premise of that was very interesting. At least have them have some fun like they used to. I would watch them camping or date night on the roof. There is just nothing happening with them to hold my interest. With current Lenny, yes I would rather watch Stuart turn himself orange or Shamy having fun on a scavanger hunt.

I agree. At Shamys expense. You are a fan of the show right?

It was a band aid solution

I disagree. If both are happy with solution how is it a band aid solution?  Sheldon has been very clear he is not an overly physical person. But they do have sex when it suits them both. Amy is good with Sheldon. She is very happy with him and thier compramise.

The storyline has been beaten the death. Nobody cares about their sexual escapades. Thinking about is quite nauseating especially after lunch. Writers need to write that puts Shamy in the background for the rest of season 12.

The thing is everyone in this forum is extremely biased. Except for a couple people who are here for the show, the rest at either shamy shippers who hate lenny, Lenny shippers who hate Shamy, or somewhere were they prefer one couple over the other. I personally love both, but I like Lenny a lot more and i know  my opinion would be biased too, each shipper protects its couple, it’s normal. To solve this argument there would have to be an impartial person, because if not shippers will always believe their ship is better (and both parts have reasons to believe it is)

A better discussion might be as tensor pointed out viewership haven’t been this low since season 2. 39% compared to last season. Why?

The show has been milked to death and should have ended a couple of years ago when it was still sharp is what I always said. Last year people knew the end might be coming and expected them to start wrapping more things up but they haven't done that as much as they should have.

A multitude of reasons as usual, certainly not one sole reason why the drop.
