The clips go from stupid Penny to serious Penny. Though the writing still stays consistently stupid.
Curiosity killed the cat so watch the clip. Though the clip was funny. Penny having banter with Leonard about babies, but got serious later when she realised he might be serious and they had a discussion. Will they, or not! Who knows.

What else is new, the writers can't come up anything original. Hey, let's throw some more bumps in Lenny's marriage. Wow, that so original! Also another failed Raj relationship. That's good for a few laughs!

The thing is the serious part ended after Leonard stated he was all right with just having her, a Nobel and a batmobile. You believed he was okay until Wyatt called wondering where is his grandkids. It seems as you suggested things are no different from the beginning of the episode till the end.

I can't say since I haven't seen the clip!

Hmm kind of what I guessed the issue with Amy as a scientist and Sheldon's wife would be. The Howard-Raj plot sounds kind of rehashed, Howard "the strong personality", yeah, got that... Doesn't sound too interesting.

For the comment, going out with a bang, so far all I've seen is a fizzle!

The writing has gotten so bad that it is ludicrous. I must say that Jim Parsons is my hero for leaving because except for a couple of minutes in each episode TBBT is becoming unwatchable. IMO, they're not going out with a bang but with a thunderous thud. I am so sad it has turned into such crap. I hope nobody mentions ratings to me, since all that means is amount of people watching the show, and has nothing to do with quality.

It's funny, you said thunderous thud and I said fizzle.

You all keep telling yourselves that,

They are their 12th season and still pulling in 12+ million same day and even bigger numbers Live + 3.

There are shows that would kill for those numbers.

Maybe for you, but not for me. Those numbers don't reveal anything about the quality of the show, just that there are loyal fans that continue to watch.

Facts don't lie, no thud, no fizzle.

They will probably go out on top or near the top in viewership.

Which I am glad they are ending after this season.

Just a funny hint.

15 Of The Big Bang Theory's Real-Life Pasadena Locations

LAist.com

"The show, set in Pasadena, made liberal use of local references throughout. The city even declared a Big Bang Theory Day back in 2016, with a proclamation thanking it for "drawing national, international (and even perhaps intergalactic)" attention, "[portraying] the City of Pasadena as not only a city of advanced education and pop culture sophistication but also home to the occasional unexpected 'Bazinga!' to countless viewers worldwide," and more."

That's your opinion. You have no facts on the quality of the show, only quantity of viewers. The show has very loyal fans regardless if the fizzle or thud.

That depends on how you define "going out with a bang". Thosw numbers include people who are not happy with the show but keep watching out of loyalty/curiousity/hope based on what they used to like. Does going out with a bang means many people watching? If so then they may indeed go out with a bang. Does it mean also being much liked? If so we would probably never know the answer, unless it is an HIMYM case when people went vocal with their dislike of the ending.

Couldn't have stated it any better!

But viewers don't watch the show because of ratings.

This is all true, but Holland said in his interview that they had written 6 or 7 episodes before the final season announcement.  So I would have to believe this Lenny baby episode was written earlier.  I think like tensor mentioned they would just drop this topic like they did with the RA if it were not the final season.  Therefore, maybe the writing will be better from here on and possibly they will re-visit this baby topic later in the season, JMO

This s sounds a lot like the last few years when Lenny’s were told how the second half of the season was going to be better.  And we all know how that turned out.  In general past behavior predicts future behavior, and the writers and producers past behavior suggest nothing will happen.

The only difference is this season is it. JMO all would be forgiven for past seasons if Lenny fans would get a satisfactory conclusion. If not I would think it would effect certain people’s pocketbooks in the future.
