So I guess this is another Sheldon/Shamy centered episode......why bother with the other cast members?
I would imagine sheldon does something stupid and Amy will get mad then by the end Amy will be happy because sheldon was right all along

If that's what you got from the article fine.  I thought it was a nice tribute to a 89 year old actor who is probably making his last appearance on the show that finally won him a well deserved Emmy Award.

Mary identifies as a Born Again Christian...From The Rhinitis Revelation (5 x 6)

Scene: The apartment. Sheldon’s mother is visiting.

Leonard: So what kind of cruise is this you’re going on?

Mrs Cooper: It’s called the Born Again Boat Ride.

'Born Again' is not a denomination of Christianity. It is a reference to the point in life at which one decides to become - or if so brought up to remain or return to being - a  Christian. It's named after a term that Jesus used for turning to His ways. There were no Christians at the time of course. It  can apply to members of  any denomination.

To avoid getting into an off topic dispute I'll just post a wikipedia link https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Born_again

Bob no doubt deserved an Emmy for prior work. JMO but not for TBBT

That was no knock on Bob Newhart   I think he is great and I love his character. I was just making a point that this will be the fifth out the first seven episodes that there is a Sheldon/Shamy centered episode.

He appeared twice in TBBT when his character was alive and in three - pardon my maths if that's wrong - episodes after Arthur's death. I thought he was good in all of them. Was it one appearance in particular that earned him the Emmy,or all of them ?

Thanks. It would be funny if he made an appearance in somebody else's head before the season's over to tell them what to do about Sheldon.

It would be hilarious. But, we're not that lucky!

It could have been, but if so, idivorcing them wasn't necessary. We've seen Penny's father on his own, and Bernadette's with no reference to the mothers. On one occasion, a Thanksgiving, they said Bernie's mother was in Colorado with other relatives because it probably would have looked odd she wasn't there. However, generally they just don't say. It wouldn't have hurt to treat Raj's parents the same way.

The thing is, Raj's parents always appeared together, it was part of their "gig". If his mother suddenly didn't appear in various of these face time conversation people may have suspected they divorced anyway since it had been said various times that they do not get along.

True Dat! Now Raj can honestly say "He comes from a broken home" to try and get some sympathy.

Lol man I have come to accept it. No point agonising over it every single time. Season 1-6 was the peak.

Looking at this picture I wonder what happened to Stuart. -Howard, didn't you tell him it is a dress-up party?-
Has he not found his GoT costume anymore? Well, maybe no surprise after his serious bicycle accident. :shy:

I almost had to spit out my coffee after I discovered this.

From a french physics book:

xesezpcotrs11.jpg.f1a8466ecf72ddb7de9262a4f546cda7.jpg

Translation (without the title << niiiiiiian >>, of course):
In an episode of the US TV show The Big Bang Theory, Sheldon Cooper dresses up as the "Doppler Effect" for Halloween.

1 Restate what the Doppler effect is.
2 How are the stripes reminiscent of the Doppler effect?

Probably not! Remember in "The Viewing Party Episode", Howard told him it was a costume party.

Reminder for anyone else here in Britain who might need reminding: the first episode of the new series of The Big Bang Theory is on tonight. At 8.30, on E4.

Edit: Also, I just noticed that Series 11, Episode 24 is on at 8 O'clock.

TBBT has created great sets of parents for the characters.

I don't know about the Fowlers. More specifically Mrs Fowler. She's a piece of work. But I loved Kathy Bates's portrayal of her, as well as Teller's Mr Fowler.
