That's the only thing we agree on. There was no show of support just laziness in writing! Happy New Year

I think you missed my point.

Just let the actor having the baby have the baby. Just allow for serendipity.

It will be a huge disservice.  The only thing that will save them if she reveals that she has a medical problem that makes it difficult to conceive and that she had been trying.  Otherwise, it will be a slap in the face to those who choose differently.  They really dropped the ball on this one.  Big time. Big. Huge (channeling Julia Roberts)

That is why I keep thinking there is something more behind her revelation not to have children.  There could be so many explanations that people have commented on: the example you state of a medical problem, either she cannot conceive or has difficulty in conceiving; I recall some other poster suggesting that when she was with Kurt she actually got pregnant but had a miscarriage and now she is afraid that will happen with Leonard.  But these scenarios seem a little far-fetched and might be too sensitive a topic to cover in a sit-com.  I tend to think that she just has a fear of committment like she always gets when faced with big decisions.  However they go it will be like you say a disservice to couples who prefer no children.  So, yes they really dropped the ball on this one and it will be intriguing to see how they extricate themselves from this situation.  I am sure the forum will be burning up when it is revealed.

Thats a bit left of center LOL. I know she married Zack in Vegas. But I think they would need to do some gymnastics level of writing to explain how she hid a miscarrige after all these years. But anyway. Bit far fetched yes. I dont think 12x03 on the surface in ideology was neccessary bad. Penny not wantings kids, and maintaining her independance is cannon. Problem with Lenny since Season 8 has been lack of depth. Its no surprise Penny just drops a bombshell like that, and Leonards forced to compromise. Seeing ever since they got married end of Season 8. You barely get resolutions with them. Or they use other characters as buffers to distract from their own problems. Than when one arises for them. The writers dont seem to know how to construct it. properly. I agree this whole thing is just the writers playing up on Pennys fear of commitment, like they have done through out the series. Problem is you had years and years of Lennys relationship developing. With the baby thing. Theirs no sense of attachment either way.

I will try to go back and look but I have my grandkids for winter break and I can't watch a lot of TV,

Take your time, I'm now busy getting some things done here, and will be getting ready for the California trip.  The wife and I have several other places to see, besides the taping (Disneyland, Queen Mary, the WB tour, Hollywood, trip north on the Coast Highway, etc), there are several people I'm seeing out there, (Hi legacy).   It's probably going to be several days after the 11th, before I have the time, to answer anything.  I'll be checking in here every so often, to see if something needs to be done, but unless something goes extremely wrong,  about the only thing I'll be posting will be the taping report Tuesday night.

Well, in the end that's true for everybody,

dad so there you go.

I have an answer April, but see my answer to Die above.  I may get to when I get back, or more likely it will be old news and not worth pursuing.

No need. By the time you get to it the discussion will have moved on. It already has.

I prefer you have a great time at the taping and I'll be looking forward to reading your TR! 😄

Big Bang Theory: Kal Penn, Sean Astin Cast in Final Season

The Big Bang Theory’s Sheldon and Amy are getting an assist with their super-asymmetry theory — and something tells us Dr. Cooper will be none too pleased.

The CBS sitcom has cast Kal Penn (Designated Survivor) and Sean Astin (Stranger Things) to guest-star in an upcoming episode as Drs. Campbell and Pemberton, a team of physicists who accidentally confirm the marrieds’ complex scientific concept, TVLine has learned. An airdate has not been announced.

As fans will recall, Sheldon and Amy thought their super-asymmetry theory had been disproven by a Russian paper. Then, in the Dec. 6 episode, the theoretical physicist and his wife came to a breakthrough and realized that the paper was only right from one perspective, which meant their theory was still sound.

Penn most recently co-starred opposite Kiefer Sutherland in the first two seasons of Designated Survivor, which will soon relocate from ABC to Netflix. Astin, meanwhile, will follow-up his Stranger Things stint with a starring role in Netflix’s multi-camera family comedy No Good Nick.

The Big Bang Theory‘s 12th and final season resumes Thursday, Jan. 3 at 8/7c on CBS.
