That wasn't even a little bit a part in Penny's decision

Also I don't know what Bernadette getting promoted would have to do with a Lenny baby

What was part of her decision? Bernadette having kids and her complaining about them. At best we have no exact reason. More like generic reasons not to have kids. Oldies but goodies.

As to Bernadette could it be Bernadette becoming Penny’s boss? Just a theory. Also no mention of Leonard. Howard and Raj in the episode on the 17th. What does that mean

That's very interesting indeed!

So we're just going to brush off the fact the press release said the physicists try to keep amy off the nomination. Is it because she's not a physicist, she's a woman, what?

How will it be resolved, will it be resolved. As someone who loves shamy and the super asymmetry plot, and amy, this is the more important thing. It's not just sheldon, this is Amy's dream/project too.

Sad to say as someone who wanted to see Shamy work together for some time and have success the way the powers that be have cultivated this whole story has been disappointing so far.

And the press release for the latest developments in this saga haven’t  blown me away either.

Amazing how much Amy is getting shat on this season, even an episode earlier in the season praising her contributions came at the cost of getting misdirected grief from her husband.

I’m sure Mayim will be fantastic, though just where the hell is this feel good factor this season in any of these multi-episode story arcs? There doesn’t appear to be any it feels like it’s always negative or with some ‘cost’. If they are saving it all for the final episode it may not be enough to have that desired effect.

Maybe they're trying to balance it by having Sheldon make Amy's case in this episode, talking about her contribution to the project?

IDK. I'm busy being upset that we're getting Super Asymmetry plots for 4 episodes in a row, some plots being very untrue to the RL academic world and now there may be a Nobel nomination.

I think it’s pretty obvious he will right at the end make the case, but my guess is for the other 16 mins of the episode you feel for Amy and it’s kind of depressing.

I feel they're mostly using Amy's involvement in the project to evoke the emotions and behaviors they want in Sheldon...

This is the Sheldon Show so Amy, just like Leonard and Penny, only serves the purpose of a supporting character to Sheldon.

I think it is also very sad that they cannot give Penny a plot of her own. Why can't they create a plot where she receives a sales award and then gets promoted to a PR job she covets; how come they never had an episode where they celebrated her birthday but they had time to give Sheldon a whole episode about his birthday (and it was the 200th episode no less); they have time to show Amy's birthday and how she and Sheldon celebrate that along with Halley's birthday. I guess I am just so tired of seeing all these stories and how they have cast Lenny aside.

It would have been nice for Penny to get a surprise birthday party.  The could have made it funny by having Leonard secretly plan it so she gets to wondering why he is acting all secretive and why her friends are acting weird, she could even wonder if he is having an affair just before she gets surprised.

That would require taking screen time away from sheldon and I don't think that's going to happen

Of course you are right and I think Penny’s birthday has passed so it will never happen.  I actually think a birthday party for Penny on the 200th episode would have been much better than the so called birthday, which was really a Sheldon love fest, we got.

The only other thing it could be is some drug discovery related somehow to having kids.

Maybe!

And the Lenny/Zac story can’t even get 2 consecutive weeks to develop I know they’re coming back but why does every Lenny story get delayed - not a peep since the episode 3 no kids call until this out of nowhere sperm donor thing and then because of course Penny never tries to deal with anything, we move on to a work story with Bernie. I understand the frustration. Two things though. I'm not sure how the Zack story exactly ended and I'm not sure if the guys tonight only availability was this week

Happy Taping day  everyone.

DV, tomorrow we'll know what the press release was all about and have answers to the questions and speculations. Here's hoping nothing impedes Mr and Mrs Tensors'  presence at the taping and that everybody has a wonderful time.

A birthday party for Penny could happen but it's very unlikely.

If Sheldon receives a Nobel Prize it will be the 10th of December and before Sheldon goes to Sweden they could hold a birthday party for Penny.

You’re talking about season 13, right? 😉

No, it could be the final episode or the episode before the final. I don't think it will happen but it's possible.

You know, my(oops) Penny's birthday is on December 2nd. Maybe I should travel back in time with her and prepare everything. 😁
