Hmm. I agree abot the boat kiss (although I mostly see that as terrible OOC writing) and about sleeping with and cheating on Priya, and that he blew the guitarist sleeping over out of proportion. I disagree about the other things, I think they blown out of proportion (my phrase of the day I guess?), e.g., the emergency money - not a good move at all but it was something he used to do and kept doing, he didn't start it with the purpose of stopping her from spending, the problem was that he didn't get full in with his new wife, joining their resources. The money for the car was before that and it was partly because of status reasons that relate to his insecurities, but also partly because it was a gift, so he did not want the money back.

Anyway, you're totally entitled to your own opinion. Some like a certain character and some do not, totally understandable.

You could write the same type of negative article on every one of the characters. They all have some major flaws that are easily exposed through cherry picking from 267 episodes. Thats how the writers operate. They take turns making the characters look bad for the sake of their sense of humour, some more than others but they all get a turn. With that much material you can choose instances to prove both negative and positive positions on all of them. Been happening on this forum for years.

I don't know about that. Looking at Sheldon's siblings and Amy's parents, I  can definitely see the young Coopers having average intelligence. Sheldon was a rare genius in a family of non geniuses! Lightening hardly ever strikes twice in the same family!

Quite, and Leonard with his smart siblings and parents has a much better chyance of smart kids, unless Sheldon's smartness is due to a benign mutation rather than just genes coming together. BUT what is much more important, if we consider these characters as they have been established and project them into the imaginary future beyond TBBT, there is no doubt at all that Leonard and Penny will love any kids they may have unconditionally and never judge or test them (Howard and Bernadette are the same, of course). With the Sheldon and Amy characters there's no such guarantee. It's quite IC for Sheldon to judge his kids and express his disappointment if they're not super-smart, even reject them, while Amy could quite consistently carry out experiments on their minds - (a sort of degenerated Beverly). Shamy should never be allowed to breed - they're not fit for parenthood.

Or Zac and Marisa actors aren’t available this week. I don’t know. Clutching at straws I think. Makes no sense in a narrative to drop a bombshell and then ignore it like the characters wouldn’t even acknowledge the decision has or hasn’t been made in a conversation. I know the writers like to not plan too far ahead as they say but Assymetry Nobel plot is getting plenty of continuation. Grr!

EDIT:,Thanks kenan for the report!

Perhaps they are holding back the resolution in order for it to be revealed in episode one of the forthcoming series The Whimper And The Wine produced and directed by and starring Johnny Galecki, occasionally guest starring Kaley Cuoco.

I see I missed a few things, and got a couple wrong, my apologies.

Don't even go there.  I can't imagine experiencing a taping and then remembering enough to offer up a coherent taping report.

Yey ! Not seen it yet. Just about to go to the computer and get it. Often the TRs are more interesting than the finished article but I'm happy to know I have a surprise waiting. Nobody remembers everything and for all we know they added something later. Thanks for the report and everything else you do.

No problems! What you gave us was wonderful accounting of what you could remember. I really appreciate your TR!

The part that bothers me was mishearing “I could make her President” as “I could make her pregnant.” Cause that changed the course of a couple of posts. Of course, I’m old and my hearing’s going, so I can’t blame that on my memory, I guess.

I liked your version better 😂 But I still think this work promotion plot can be a great parallel with Penny’s fear of being a mom, IMO the writers are heading towards it.

LOL

It makes some sense though. When I read the dialogue you wrote (before that line) I thought they may be heading toward a revelation about Penny's no kids decision, you might have thought similarly and that's why your brain filled in "pregnant" when you couldn't hear well enough.

Bernadette doesn't enunciate clearly. I'd have put money on 'pregnant' before the subtitles were available

I agree with the article, so here it is.

I agreed with tons of the article but not all of it The part where the author said, "There is insecure and there is just plain pathetic" resonated with me, though. And it goes to prove that not everyone thinks Leonard is the greatest thing on the show, which I've been trying to prove to friends of mine for years.

You can say the same thing about Sheldon, I think he is a selfish bully who takes advantage of his friends and I believe there is nothing mentally wrong with, as the last couple of seasons seem to confirm, he is just a gigantic asshole.  Also, if Leonard is so bad, why does Mary thank him for taking care of Sheldon, Sheldon go to him with his problems, Penny love him, Howard chat him up to Hawking, Bernadette want to see his research, Raj jealous of him and wanting what he has, Kripke say he is a good guy, Leslie consider him marriage material, Siebert trusts him, and the list goes on.

Also the only changes in Sheldon is a bit of softening the edges! He's still bullies his friends and takes advantage of them. The only reason for the small amount of softening is he lives with Amy now.

I get it, at 63, my wife complains about my hearing on a daily basis! But then is my hearing gone or am I simply ignoring her. It could go either way.  😉
