When will that episode be filmed? The taping and broadcast thread isn't up to date so I lost track.

I believe it will be filmed on Feb. 5th.

Well, they did not do a Thanksgiving or Christmas episode only a Halloween one, so I think there may be a Valentines episode in some manner depending if it fits into a storyline. Wasn't Feb. 14 supposed to be Raj/Anu wedding? They might be prominent then in this episode.

This is just a thought, but maybe it will be semi-related to the wedding. Perhaps the venue was never cancelled, and Raj and Anu decide to marry after all. This would be somewhat counterintuitive due to what they decided in "The Propagation Proposition." Still, it's hard to say what will transpire in the next few tapings. I could see a Valentine's episode centering on Raj pulling out all the stops for Anu, especially if he acknowledges that it was their proposed wedding date.

I'd be surprised if there was a Valentine episode. There was no Thanksgiving or Christmas episodes so Valentines Day will probably pass with barely a mention of it!

Someone a few posts up (can’t find) mentioned they hope the finale is an hour.  I really hope so too.   In an hour show they will have some reasonable amount of time to follow everybody and the amount of time spent on Sheldon/Amy would le still leave them time to cover the others.  Plus they have added new couples the writers seem to want to devot time to.

That would be great if it was an hour long finale, although I think it's also possible that the last two episodes will both be the finale split in two.

It's just speculation on my part, with episodes being aired on a Thursday and valentines day being a Thursday I was thinking they might make the episode that airs that night a valentines episode. it will probably be episode 16 which I have  know idea when the taping for that will be.

Yeah, I know it was just speculation. You could be spot on with that idea though since it's right on the date. We'll see.

But yeah, I just really lost track of the taping dates.

Surely more than three months have gone by since Hallowe'en in TBBT world ? I'm thinking of all the time needed for the asymmetry paper. On second thoughts, I don't know why I said that. When it comes to timelines the writers can't count.

The two last episode will probably be about Shamy receiving the Nobel Prize.

Just a random question I want to ask you guys, with February 14th  being a Thursday, do you think they'll do a Valentine's episode?. If you do what do think it'll be like?.

If they're not doing Raj's wedding, I'm going to guess nothing will happen. But I could be wrong.

That maybe one plot. But their well probably be several other plots through out the episode. I suspect Penny well give birth in the penultimate episode. Just a sense. And the Series Final can be about Shamy receiving the Nobel prize. Be refreshing if Sheldon doesen't win at the end of the series. But well see.

Would be interesting if the writers go with Shamy didn’t win the Nobel and Sheldon has an epiphany about how what he has gained over the last 12 years is better than a Nobel. They have gone down the schmaltzy route with him before and he doesn’t really have major wins in his career as much as some think the writers give him everything.

He was embarrassed with the Arctic experiment.
He failed with his theory presented to Hawking
He failed with the element
He got nowhere with dark matter
The gyroscope didn’t go all the way

Yes they could end all that with his ultimate prize of the Nobel OR they could stick to the script of never quite getting there as the scientist but growing as a human because of Lenny and Amy.

Who knows where they’re going but I’d find that more interesting than the predictable Nobel glory.

If Seibert submits just Sheldon and Amy for the Nobel and Fermi submits their two putzes and Sheldon, it's a win/win for Sheldon. They each wouldn't know (until after the submissions) who was on the submissions. If the panel chooses CalTech's submission, Amy & Sheldon win, if they choose the Fermi submission, Sheldon wins and he is not at fault.

So Amy not winning is a win for Sheldon?

Yes. Because he wins it but thru no fault of his own, Amy doesn't. IF the Fermi submission wins.

The reason I wouldn't like them to win a Nobel is not that I don't want them to have a win. If it were a lesser prize I would be all for it. Winning a Nobel and all happening so fast just feels too unrealistic to me, it is fairytale-y to me in a way that I do not enjoy. Having kids with a spouse is much more realistic...

Why are some people against everyone winning. I do not see the fairness in expecting Leonard to have his life long dream of having kids but Sheldon should not get his lifelong dream of getting the Nobel?

Perhaps Leonard could be happy that he married his dream girl but no kids.  I would find that interesting. But better yet, why not let everyone win...including Sheldon as well as Leonard, Raj, Howard and Penny.

Standing behind the kitchen island literally showed a steadfast development for Lenny over the years. They deserve a Nobel for stability.
But just seriously, as I was saying, "everything stays different". We're still have to wait. 😉

So your saying Sheldon should win a Nobel prize because it's his life long dream, and Leonard should be happy because he at least has  Penny even though his life long dream of having kids will be left unfulfilled.

Not against everyone winning. Not against Shamy winning if Lenny don’t. As I said earlier, I like everyone and want them to end happy. Was replying to skulls comment about Sheldon not winning Nobel. I would find his reaction to not winning more INTERESTING than winning to see how the writers would craft that story. But not against him getting Nobel, unrealistic though it may be in such a short time.

No. That was not what I was trying to say. I think they should all have a happy ending. Sheldon, Leonard, Penny, Raj and Howard. I don't think Sheldon should be excluded as I felt was suggested by another poster and that he should not get losing the Nobel because he has Amy. I want them all to be winners in the end.

Leonard has Penny who he has pined for since day one.

Penny has Leonard and a successful career  making lots of money doing something she likes.

Raj will have his dream of finding a woman to love.

Howard has his dream of a wife that loves him and enjoys his sex crazed side.

Sheldon never dreamed of finding anyone to love, but he has from the beginning pined for Nobel.

If they can find a way to make Penny truely want a child then that should happen as well.

But who's happiness matters more Leonard or Penny's? What if it is not a shared dream. Would you want Penny to sacrifice her dream for Leonard?

They probably should have avoided the baby stuff completely this season and just made her announce she pregnant very last episode.

That would have been the smarter move! But no, they went and painted themselves in a corner. They're probably running round like chickens with their heads cut off trying to fix it!

I don't know if they'll do that but I can see them not getting one. Even if they get nominated that doesn't mean they will win.

Don't be too rational. That doesn't suit these writers.

True, scientists are nominated every year who don't win.
