I think they hit the sad for most Lenny fans 9 episodes early

Thanks   I hope the trend continues and we see several more Lenny plotlines.  Besides the baby plotline would love to see Leonard advance in his job: he gets tenure, or a professorship, or maybe even Physics chairmanship to end the show.

Tuesday taping has Penny and Bernadette fighting at a convention. Could something be happening with Penny’s job?

I do not like where the show is going and I think it is time for me to stop watching and maybe leave the forum. This is not for me.

Why is this surprising anyone? They said on Young Sheldon that Sheldon has kids and they said on TBBT that Penny doesn't want kids. She could change her mind of course, and they could both be pregnant in the finale but I'm just not getting that vibe. Since they said these things point blank I'm just not feeling it.  No one can say they weren't warned about this. I'm glad because it probably means I won't have to watch any more boring pregnancy storylines.

I actually take this as a positive. I undetstand this sound warped but let me explain. In theory this keeps the pregnancy discussion going on. I find it hard to believe Lenny is not going to be involved in this Shamy discussion. I also never bought that Penny job as Pharmacy rep is going to last till May. JMO I think that is the ultimate reason Penny doesn’t want kids. I’m not saying it’s the only factor but the biggest factor.

I just noticed this. Personally I didn't like her dressing like that to sabotage him when they should have just talked it out. I know they were going for funny, but it wasn't funny to me. It was cringe worthy to me. As for her acting, as far as I'm concerned she's a perfectly adequate television sitcom actress, not Katharine Hepburn.

Well, Penny will be away from the discussion as she has her own plot with Bernadette so that doesn't really work out. I'd also hate it if somehow her job falls through and then she wants a baby cause... she has nothing else to do???

This is not surprising, just sad. They could’ve stopped with Lenny’s kids issue in 12x03, but no, they kept raising it in those weird plots and giving the fans hope (I actually thought Zack’s plot would change Penny’s mind or at least let her explain why she decided not to have kids).

And now, after all this, what do we get? Probably Lenny still standing behind their kitchen island, observing everyone else having families, Nobel Prizes, great career achievements, etc.

TBQH with YS already saying they'll have kids and the ongoing Nobel plot I kinda expected that they'd leave the Shamy babies for some vague time after the show. I'm not even mad at the prospect as such - the wording of the spoiler blip is bothering me more than anything. (Though that is probably just a flawed write up with a poor choice of words.)

I agree, she a decent TV Sitcom actress but she no Katharine Hepburn or Mary Tyler Moore!

I do agree with your whole post thought. that was probably my least favorite scene from last night.

Who says you are going to see them getting there? All we as viewers know is they have kids at some point in the future. To me this does not mean within the next weeks. I think that will not be seen. I hope it won't be seen.

I think a lot of fans are not going to get a lot of things they wanted . Do i think the showrunners care? Nope. I don't. If anyone else does they have more faith in the writers, etc. than I do.
