Rati Gupta posted a picture of the script, (On her IG stories, with the name of the episode taken out) so yes, she's in it.  Actually, I would expect her to be in the final two also.

The Maternal Conclusion could end up being various of things. If Christine Baranksi is in the Penultimate Episode. As is Rati Gupta. The  A Plot most likely could be Leonard and Beverly. And B Plot. Anu not getting on with Cinnamon. Or a twist Penny gets pregnant end of episode. Freeing up Shamy Nobel Prize plot in series final. Which I’m vehemently against. For any character but alas. That’s just my general guesses. 

Lets look at the past episodes that gave had “Maternal” in them. All been about Leonard and Beverly. “The Maternal Capicatance”. And “The Maternal Congruence”. So I have a feeling this we’ll be concluding Leonard and Beverly.

Well potentially. But I don’t think it’s been as clear as Lenny getting pregnant all season. I think their we’ll be flash forwards most likely.

Here is my thinking. We know that Leonard walks away from his job when trying to stand up for himself. I think he may turn to his mom for advise and she will say she is proud of him, and that he did the right thing. 

This would give Leonard another "win" for those who keep track. He has always wanted true approval from his mom. Perhaps, this will be a good thing for Leonard.

Sheldon could reach out to Beverly for this as well. They do get along really well. So this is also a possibility!

I don't think it relates to Penny at all. I think she is pretty sure of what she wants. But who knows...she is young and may change her mind after a year or two.  However I certainly don't ascribe to any proficy theory.  I still think that is hogwash. We will find out the answer soon enough. Too soon for me anyway.

I don't think they will be giving Sheldon a memory wipe like C3PO so no I don't think that can happen. Nothing to be gained either (that I can think of).

Yep! I do subscribe to the she is already pregnant due to several things...

Mood Changes past couple of episodes.

Baby Games episode both the book and by I swear I saw her holding her hands over her belly just a little to long when folding clothes at the end. The look she gives him as they get into bed to discuss Sheldon's thoughts.

The three weeks ago sex remark a few episodes back. Very odd thing to say even for Amy. She would be at the right point to have found out or to find out. She could have been so preoccupied or stressed with Nobel stuff she may not have notice a missed cycle.

In addition, I also wonder about Mayim's post about looking alike, and being an old married couple. That however may just be nothing...

I don't think it relates to Penny at all. I think she is pretty sure of what she wants. But who knows. For only keeping peace on this board and to stop the ship wars I kind of hope she gets pregnant with 3 kids. Fair is fair...Lenny and Shamy will be completely equal across the board.  However I certainly don't ascribe to any proficy theory.  I still think that is hogwash. 

 

You keep missing a couple things at least with me. You keep calling Leonard wins or Penny wins as Lenny wins. There not. If Sheldon was the only one  nominated for a Nobel Prize would it be a Shamy win?

The baby thing. Though I don’t watch YS Sheldon announcing he had kids IMO was a downer for Lenny fans especially how this season has turned out. Speaking for myself each having 3 kids means nothing. Again speaking for myself I’m just looking for fairness in storylines  and a satisfactory ending for Lenny and Shamy. to me that would of been a Nobel Prize for Shamy and A child on the way for Lenny. Well stories haven’t good at all for Lenny and if I were a betting man a Nobel Prize is more likely than a kid.

Thats the problem with YS. If you state something on the show vicarousley through Sheldon. OF what happens in the future. That has not happened yet on the mothership show. Then well hand is forced. I personally don't think their well be kids in the finalie. Just because Sheldon said so in YS. I mean that could be at any time in the future. But The Nobel Prize is more of a constant plot arch going into the Series Final. But The penultimate episode The Maternal Conclusion. Surley has to do with Leonard in some form.

This was a great post and I appreciate the insight into your thinking about Lenny. I hope for happy endings for all of them. Even Lenny. I do hope Leonard gets some positive feedback. He deserves that. He is a great person and friend to others as well as successful and smart. I will try to remember that Lenny "wins" are very different from a specific Leonard "win" and a specific Penny "win". Like the others, they also deserve a Lenny "win" to the end the show. 

Also, perhaps "win" isn't the correct word. How about forward growth. This does not sound as overly competitive to me. So I will use these words instead after this.

Sheldon actually loves his wife.

Sheldon has been present for every big event that has happened to his friends, including birth of babies and random hospital visits. 

Sheldon has much more heart than Beverly.

He does care about his friends as well as what they think of him. 

Sheldon is very analitical minded as is Beverly and he likes charts, graphs and comparing things...his science side.

He admittedly has trouble with social cues but Amy has really helped with this. 

Sheldon is no Beverly...especially the last 3 seasons or so.

I'm not that bothered by comparing amount of "wins" as I am by some characters having multiple major achievements while others do have their major achievements but will also live on with a very major burden that will be there forever. Not saying they won't have a good life but it will always be there. I don't understand the writers' choice there (and more so given that it was so easy not to do that and that doing that meant going against things we've seen over the course of several years).

*I usually make such comments in Dark Lenny but there's a more general discussion here about how people think of the ending so I wrote this here, hoping it's mild enough.

She doesn't talk about them. Her other son has two or three children and her daughter has five.
