Now she's Mrs Cooper and like to mistreat Sheldon. 😁 (Sometimes I'm weird.) Her character has changed considerably. She has become very confident for a nerd, kind of like an oxymoron And at times she seems to treat Sheldon like a child by disciplining him. She still loves and cares for him but their interactions are different now that they're married. Edited April 11, 2019 by shell

She practically flew across his knee to get her spanking. She was laughing and enjoying it. Dare I say she wanted more? Not mistreatment in my eyes. Just having a great time. No idea, I never said it was. I wasn't referring to this at all when I talked about how I began to like the show myself when Amy grew a backbone (metaphor for finding and applying courage or mental strength) which is a colloquial name for the spine, and rejected Sheldon's treatment - or more accurately mistreatment - of her after five years of belittlement, disdain, disrespect, selfishness and inconsiderateness from him interspersed with only occasional sweetness. If anyone thought a backbone was a backside ( bottom ) that's just funny. It produced some gifs. There are many languages spoken in this forum and I admire all ESOL speakers who post in English. I have many problems with the American language myself. A visiting American christian once gave me a book called 'The backside of Satan' . I've never read it. Say no more. Dear Joyce, I admire your subtle sobriety in times of the approaching end of this comedy. Tonstar17
The spanking scene was kinda abuse. To Amy it was a sexual thing and showing her kinky side. To Sheldon, it was pure punishment and nothing else. Go figure.Sent from my SM-G975F using Tapatalk

That was humor!

Some things off the top of my head are: Penny winning a sales award, Leonard being offered a Physics chairmanship or a professorship, Penny going on another sales conference and meeting her old boyfriend Kurt, P&L going to Leonard's 20th high school reunion, P&L going to visit Penny's parents in Nebraska or P&L going to visit Beverly in New Jersey (although I don't know why they would) or his father. These are just some thoughts they could work with. I always thought it would be great if Leonard won a science award resulting in him and Penny attending a formal award banquet, Leonard dressed in a tux and Penny in a gown. Then as they drove up to the event the valet who took their car was Kurt.

Of course he would try hitting on her and she has to tell him that she is married and to whom........ha ha ha

So many potential scenarios when they could have gone for a laugh with a win, without deflating Leonard or slut-shaming Penny. But that wasn’t the show they wrote and that wasn’t the show we saw. We saw what they wanted. It worked for them brilliantly. 12 seasons. *sigh* Well, at least L/P are going out together (unless I’ve missed a spoiler). Still. I would have liked to see more of what you suggested. @joyceraye, if you want to see a representation of the backside of Satan, try googling images of Tom Ellis as Lucifer (Lucifer Morningstar). Hehe. It’s not too bad. That show had some promise at the outset.

Sometimes too fast, but she's definitely changed the most for me. 13 hours ago, Nogravitasatall said: So many potential scenarios when they could have gone for a laugh with a win, without deflating Leonard or slut-shaming Penny. They definitely stuck to writing what they wanted. As a historian I sometimes think of Nicholas II, when he was about to abdicate the Russian throne , asking Prime Minister Mikhail Rodzianko whether it was possible that he had “tried to act for the best” throughout his reign, but “for 22 years it was all a mistake?" and Rodzianko answering, “Yes, Your Majesty, for 22 years, you followed a wrong course.” 11 hours ago, Kev0821 said: Kripke (John Ross Bowie) has proof that Dr. Pemberton (Sean Astin) plagiarized his thesis in college, and Sheldon and Amy aren't sure if they should turn him in or not. How wonderful is it, btw, that we have been treated to Joshua Malina as President Siebert in several episodes this season??
