I have enjoyed the series but really, I am ready to move on. I can see it being emotional for those directly involved but bit is just one more series. One with plenty of flaws.

I wonder if they got to watch Part 1 before Part 2 as taped? Does sound like it.  The Journalist and Reporters who were there last night have so far (from what I seen) have written that it was a good  finale.

I agree it will be too much to give Shamy a Nobel Prize and a have Amy pregnant, but you never know they might very well do that. Right now it is all speculation and we won't know till we see it , but i myself am keeping my expectations very low.

I don't think they will have Penny pregnant, but they could have her say to Leonard that she wants to have his baby, i think i would be okay with that, eespecially if Penny then uses Leonards line from the pilot.

Possible revelations/surprises could be, Raj proposing to Anu, Denise telling Stuart she loves him, Howard's father showing up, Amy pregnancy announcement. Lenny?

I still think we are going to see some flash forward scenes into the future.   Some scenes would have been  withheld from  the audience that were pre taped.

My guess form the Deadline and EW articles as well as Photos I seen. Of course I could be wrong 

A Character get a major Award (This could be a flash forward scene) 

In Present Day:  A pregnancy announcement (I think Lenny) 

In Present day: A shocking marriage announcement  (Stuart and Denise. Maybe they elope? No one would see that coming!) or Raj and Anu elope and Stuart and Denise  get engaged or move in together. 

A Job Promotion forcing a character to move away: Toss-up 

A surprise visitor: Possibly Howard Dad

Thank you. We call that a 'sleeveless jumper'. I've never heard it called a thumper jumper but that term might be in a dialect somewhere. A vest to us is an item of underwear that goes under a shirt or jumper. ('Underwear' is a general term for any item, such as bra, pants, vest, petticoat etc that is worn under the outer clothing.) I've never understood why the cast, apart from younger Penny, wear so many layers of clothing when it's  72F degrees or more. Raj wears the most.

When I read the YS synopsis of the night and found out the episode takes place in Nobel announcements day(s?) I thought there may be a jump to that time on TBBT, a few months' jump.

Agreed if they are planning on giving Shamy a Nobel Prize it would make sense to do a time jump.

I did not see the actresses playing Denise or Anu hanging around in photos for the taping last night and the portion of the curtain call that I have seen only included Bert along with the 8 others.  I think that the two newer romances will not be huge in the finale---mentioned in passing perhaps, but.....

That doesn't mean anything. They are only recurring characters  and so they would not have been part of the curtain call. Kevin is pretty much a official cast member but he was not part of the curtain call (and neither was Burt who not an official cast member)  and he was there.  There are supposedly other guest stars  but we don't know who and we have no photos of who else may be in it

The Big Bang Theory Series Finale: 10 Non-Spoilery, Bittersweet Nuggets

I attended Tuesday night’s taping of the Big Bang Theory series finale and all I got was a lousy NDA! Well, that’s not entirely true. Although I did lend my signature to an ironclad non-disclosure agreement, the fine print of said contract does permit me to share both behind-the-scenes observations and super-vague, spoiler-free teases. So let’s get to it.

1. The first half of the hour-long finale was shot last week. The studio audience screened that before witnessing the live taping of the second half. From the vantage point of this longtime fan, the super-sized farewell was an immensely satisfying, consistently hilarious and, at times, refreshingly dark sendoff.

2. Seconds before cameras rolled on the very first scene, a loud burst of laughter erupted off-camera from the producers and crew, prompting Jim Parsons to deadpan, “The show’s over here.”

3. Audible gasps could be heard from the studio audience when [IDENTITY OF SURPRISE CAMEO REDACTED] turned up in the flesh. Full disclosure: One of them was from yours truly.

4. Several long-running storylines were paid off in ways that felt both organic and surprising.

5. Johnny Galecki was so overcome with emotion following the initial cast introductions that two of the show’s makeup artists had to frantically clear the emotional debris from his face before cameras rolled on the cold open.

6. Big Bang co-creator Chuck Lorre, fighting back tears, banged the clapboard and yelled action on the evening’s final scene (but not the episode’s final scene, which was pre-taped). Speaking of the episode’s closing tag…

7. … it was the only part of the finale held back from the studio audience. Hmm… 

8.  As chronicled in my soon-to-vanish Instagram stories, a pre-taping reception featured Big Bang-themed cocktails and fortune cookies.

9. Addressing the crowd at one point, a verklempt Kaley Cuoco — whose emotionally overcome family was huddled in the back row of the studio audience — reassured the throng of super-fans that “Big Bang Theory will live on in our hearts for the rest of our lives.”

10. The off-camera group hug that followed the episode’s final group scene — as chronicled in Cuoco’s Instagram feed — broke me. It was one of two times I lost it during the taping. The other came during the final bows when a sobbing Melissa Rauch spotted me in the audience and blew me a kiss. And before you ask YES I AM ABSOLUTELY CERTAIN SHE WAS LOOKING AT ME. (You can’t just let me have that, can you?)

Hmmm some things that I'm especially curious about:

"Refreshingly dark" - Huh. I wonder what that's about. Maybe kind of a you can't get all you want but you should be thankful for what you do get? Sheldon and Amy not getting the Nobel and Leonard not getting to have children, Penny not getting to be an actress, Raj not getting a fairytale romance, Howard not marrying a super-model, Bernadette umm IDK having two kids even though she initially didn't want any? but they still have a lot to thank for? Or maybe something more... IDK, about being outcasts and staying this way but having those who would accept you...? Although that's not very dark... Certainly curious about this one.

Held back scene! Seriously didn't think there will be any, especially since they had the audience sign an NDA. But I didn't get the feeling from the reports of an unfinished feeling or a sort of a cliffhanger, so maybe it's more of a cute, punchy tag...? And/or maybe a flash forward to the time in the future Stuart is waiting for them to show up? So my guess that the final scene is dinner in 4A may not be true... It could be the penultimate though, they did film their last group scene in 4A.

Surprise cameo that people immediately recognized (so probably not the Swedish king or anything) and didn't expect to be on the show (so not Laurie Metcalf and probably not anybody else who's been on the show).

I took dark as meaning a very sad scene like a character moving away and all saying their goodbyes like on Mary tyler Moore . when friends taped it final Episode the very last scene in Monica Apartment was pre taped. The part where they all walk out of the apartment one last time was not shown to the Audience among a couple other scenes. '

I haven't felt anything negative form any of these articles is going to happen. Although Howard Father showing up could be considered a dark scene

 A couple of days ago a friend and I were speculating on the final episodes and I, as usual, suggested Ringo ( say a name often enough and the person will appear ) if Howard's father turned up. My friend, aged 59, didn't know who Ringo was. Ever felt the rolling stream of generations ? When I suggested the King of Sweden she was very sceptical. If  Ramona or Paige turn up, what's the betting one of them's just married Kripke ?

From the TRs posted in the forum over the last few years I gather it's usual to show the audience the previous week's episode before the live-taping starts. Since they're going to broadcast eps 23 and 24 as a single long episode, yes, it would be logical to infer that's what they saw.This time next month we'll all know what they know. I hope any scenes that don't make the final edit are put up on a website to be watched, as they did with  couple of them last year.
