One thing that did I noticed, the end of the show had them all together, almost like you could have put “to be continued”, I wonder if that is an omen. I hope it is an omen. Hopefully the show will restart in a few years like Will and Grace did. We can hope....

MookiStar
enjoyed it watched a lot of shows i love end, cougar town, friends and a bunch of others, i thought as far as endings go TBBT did a very good job they were never going to make everyone happy but i thought the final had a bit of everything for everyone i think this may have been one of the last great tv shows, what they call appointment TV, the final season was meh in places but the ending was good in my opinion i do feel its a little unfair to have penny and Leonards storyline go in that way in the final, its a bit of a tease or open ending for a reboot Edited May 17, 2019 by MookiStar

He was especially mean in the second half and I was getting angry where the story was going...But Jim did such a good job on the speech at the end it somewhat made up for it for me. I loved hearing Penny say she still loved him no matter how he acted. The last part in YS helped, too. I'm glad Sheldon didn't seem to care he got slapped--he was so happy. (Deep down he's a toughie) After watching 12 years of the show Sheldon’s reaction to Penny being pregnant was very much in character. Penny wasn’t bothered by him. Sheldon finally started to see the light when Leonard, Howard, and especially Amy told him how selfish he was. Seeing them in the audience made the light in his head totally turn on. As much as I have disliked Sheldon over the years that speech was more iconic than even bath item. It was actually the first time I ever really had sympathy for the guy

(Deep down he's a toughie) Just crushed. I didnt think it would be this bad. But it was...there was not one decent Shamy moment. Not one. Not a you look nice in your Nobel dress to Amy? They made Sheldon more selfish then even usual. They spent all this time showing how Sheldon has changed, but then they do this? I think some fans will have really, really have liked it. This will not be one I would ever re-watch. I would have been happy with a short sweet meaningful hug or we did it private, being happy about the win moment. But not even that? Whatever. I thi k 8 called it the other day when I posted about the pictures and them being miserable. They looked miserable in the pictures and they were in the finale as well. I loved seeing Michael and Hallie. She looks like Bernie and Michael like his dad. They were sure bigger then the car seat babies from a few episodes ago. Very happy for Leonard and Penny, although confused why the wasted donation episodes and I don't want kids if she really did want them. I would have liked more information on what suddenly changed her mind. I wish they would have done a full episode exploring that before the pregnancy announcement. I can think of several other episodes they could have scrapped this season to do that. I think they probably owed that much to Lenny fans. And divided the two final episodes between Nobel and pregnancy of Lenny. All in all, hated it.
mirs1
Loved the choice the writers made to not give this show a "definitive" ending, with people parting ways; this didn't feel like the end of an era, you can feel this group of people will remain friends forever. As for the episodes themselves, there were things I didn't particularly like (not a fan of the idea of giving Amy a makeover, for example) but overall it was a good finale, loved Sheldon's speech (he even mentioned the "smart and beautiful babies" line) and the last scene with all of them eating together made me cry. The season wasn't very good, there were things that could have been done very differently; in particular the Nobel Prize plot was really dragged too long and there was no need in of having such and heavy plot about Penny not wanting kids, if you plan to end your show with her pregnant. Overall, anyway, the finale did give this iconic series justice . Edited May 17, 2019 by mirs1

If they did it within a couple of years the actors would not have changed much and they could continue where they left off with Penny going through pregnancy. Also they could have Amy and Sheldon conceiving the night of their award and then Amy’s dream would come true of her and Penny being pregnant at the same time. Actually that could have made a great last season plot for both Shamy and Lenny having kids at the end and it would have taken them over the 300 episode mark. Shamyyes
I thought it was surprising. More in the tone of it overall than in the plot. It covered a lot. Happy about the pregnancy. Happy to see the children. I do think it left us to believe their lives go on “almost” as before. i have to let this settle in a bit Adored the tribute to them on Young Sheldon

vasu
Well, that was disappointing, wish it was about the entire group of friends , rather then being about Sheldon alone Penny being pregnant and being happy about it is a joke ! I guess it shows how much writers cared about Leonard and Penny .. not even one touching moment between them.. Raj was a total waste... Anyway I guess it was a good bye to The Big Bang Theory The Sheldon Coooper Show

ShamyScience
An okay ending to an overall disappointing season. Can't believe they actually went there and got Penny pregnant because she has an alcohol problem and not because she consciously changed her mind. -.- Although the writers kicked Raj in the n..., I surprisingly enjoyed him the most. They use to do that in the series, Sheldon would move forward then they would regress him. I do think it was a little extreme in the finale, he was really heartless when it came to Penny being Pregnant and to his wife when she changed her look. Not what you would expect after watching season 12. It was like going back to early seasons, before Amy, where the only thing that mattered to him was the Nobel Prize. I love Sheldon to death. But his reaction to Amy and her makeover ruined killed it for me. Even in the part two episode he couldn't have said how nice she looks? Not a warm hug to congradulate each other? I think on bright side will be easier for me to walk away from the show and not watch so many reruns. MookiStar
i see a lot of people saying what about XYZ but i feel like since the writers knew it was the last season they used episodes throughout the season to address character plots and arcs doesn't change that some things in the final episodes were ignored but i feel thats the way the writers did this season

I think they were trying to push the Sheldon does not like change thing, but they went too far. It should have been Amy talking through his problem at the Cheesecake Factory, not Penny, not now anymore, Amy is his wife and they have been married a year now, he should be getting comfort from her.
