  • Penny is not his Priceline daughter any more than the Priceline daughter is fathered by captain Kirk. The actors represent Priceline characters not their big roles.
  • It makes no difference that SMGs name is never mentioned. It is implied she represents herself as Buffy is not an actual person in the  TBBT universe.
  • I'll grant we can't know for sure if the fictionalized SMG is married in the TBBT universe. What we do know is that she said something along the lines of "You know this is not a date. Why are you holding my hand?"

Perfect post. Thank you.

I was glad they said it was the longest-running live-action comedy in US  TV history. Various media have been saying 'TV history' for months.

They need to keep stressing multi-plane camera series. There are other shows that lasted longer.

Everybody knows it's as good as sacred.  ( Since Raj speaks English English as a rule it's even worse, as a purse is what she keeps her money and vital items in, not her handbag. He'd have to go in her handbag to find her purse. ) She was asleep. She was a stranger. That behaviour was disgusting.

Yes, it was disgusting, but depending on where you are in the US a purse and a handbag are the same thing, also sometimes called a pocketbook. Money is kept in a wallet in many states, not simply a purse.

I never gave either Buffy or Charmed much more than a superficial look.

I couldn't stand Charmed but I was heavily into Buffy and even wrote fan fiction about it when I was younger and foolish. There was a site called Tainted Love that had some amazing smutty stories.

Hope Aurora isn’t expecting to win a Nobel Prize for Physics when she starts studying Neuroscience! Unless she plans to come up with a random idea outside her field of study as she prepares to walk down the aisleemoji12.pngemoji1787.png

But kudos to Amy for her speech!

Amy didn't come up with a random idea either. She made a comment on the symmetry/asymmetry  of Sheldon's tie (as did his mother) which triggered the idea in Sheldon. Amy helped with developing it (probably unlikely but possible).

Absolutely correct, as Penny was also able to confirm immediately…

The 15 Best Series Finales of All Time, From The Big Bang Theory, M*A*S*H, Six Feet Under, Newhart and More

BY Team TVLine

Six Feet Under is correctly at #1 - best finale ever! Also liked the inclusion of The Leftovers. And of course TBBT somewhere down the list.

I think Friends should have been higher. Also, they probably went for popular/relatively popular TV shows. If lesd popular ones were included I would've put Crazy Ex-Girlfriend somewhere from 1 to 6 (I don't know all of those shows so I can't really judge).

Good for TBBT that they managed to leave a good taste. As the HIMYM case showed us, a badly recieved finale might terribly hurt an entire long-running show.

The list is pretty mixed from what I can tell. Some ratings hits, some classics, some small genre shows. When The Leftovers was on I used to joke that this was the best show nobody watched. lol

Interestingly here is the IMDB ratings for Series Finals.

1. Breaking Bad 9.9

2. Six Feet Under/Scrubs 9.8

3. Hannibal 9.8

4. Friends 9.7

5. The Leftovers 9.6

6. The Office UK 9.5

7. Downtown Abbey/Mad Men 9.3

8. House 9.2

9. 30 Rock/Sopronas 9.1

10. Firefly 9.0

11. The Wire 8.8

12. Deadwood 8.7

13. Lost 8.2

14. Seinfeld 7.7

15. The Good Wife 6.0

16. Girls 5.8

17. Dragon Ball Z 4.9

18. Dexter 4.7

19. Game of Thrones 4.4

20. House of Cards 2.7

The Big Bang Theory: 9.6

Of course that is the problem with a Democracy. IT is subjective. How I met your mother left a bad taste in the audiences mouth. Although I loved it personally. TBBT left in such a great way.

Do you have a link?

I wonder how Firefly made the list.

Quote

The brainchild of future Avengers director Joss Whedon, Firefly was supposed to be the next huge science fiction sensation to change television; unfortunately, those hopes were dashed when the show's voyage ended after a single incomplete season.

Firefly will be inflated because of its potential and the huge following it had particularly those who caught up with it later and it had a cult following.

Farscape had the most devastating ending I've ever seen, I had to leave the house and go for an hour walk to clear my head after that one. I was completely broken after that one (though the fan campaign resulting in the Peacekeeper Wars mini-series gave it much better closure in the end).

Game of Thrones ending would have broken me had the season not been complete utter shite, so I was somewhat prepared for it...

TBBT had a fairly decent ending really when you think about it.

It's not a complete list, actually. I was curious and checked CXG and it had 9.2, which would make it tied for #8 in that list. You can just go to the final episode's page and check it's score.
