Why do say he will struggle?

My reason is crystal clear, and simple 🙂

1 he is making a remake of a British sitcoms

2 broadway pays horribly

I am just saying that after a while Jim Parsons will probably find himself struggling and will want a reboot

I'm confident that of all the actors he'll be the one struggling the least. He's been in acclaimed movies and Broadway plays and his production company is off to a good start. Not to mention he has great work ethics and seems on all accounts a great guy. I don't see the issue here.

If it's a 'good" Broadway Play like Hamilton (which cost tons of money for a ticket) People will pay as much as possible in order to see it. Hamilton was sold out within weeks for 6 months in advance. It was very hard to get tickets. It was the talk of New York for awhile.  But People are willing to pay a hefty price to see a good play

I have always felt that Broadway never had “good plays” for example the reason  Hamilton is so popular is because of its soundtrack

In the words of Arte Johnson "Verry Innteresting".

I agree. I see him having a successful career in broadway.  That where his heart really is. Kind of like David Schwimmer from Friends. Yes he hasn't had (almost) any acting jobs since Friends ended but that because he direct on broadway now. He rather direct (or work behind the scenes) then act but he still out there just not on screen. Every actor have their preferences.

Lisa Kudrow has a Genealogy Show (Executive Producer) that now been on since 2010. It very interesting. At least to me anyway because I im in to that kinds of stuff.  It was an interesting move for her.  Her and David have probably been the most successful followed by Courtney.

It will be very interesting to see what kind of Projects this Cast ventures into once the show ends if any project at all.

There been lot of mediocre or bad plays but there also been lot of good ones too considering how long broadway and theatre been around which long predates television and film

I have enjoyed watching all the characters develop and grow up. I'd have been happy to see them carry on doing so for another couple of years. I hope they'll do occasional specials in the future - do US series do that ?

As for 2, It doesn't matter what Broadway pays. If it pays anything, it's icing. With 5 years of $1 milllion/ episode (24*5=$96 million) PLUS backend, Broadway is just something he likes to do. If it becomes popular, the better.

Yes sometimes but it really depends on the Shows and if the Actors and Writers are willing and if a Network or a Production company is willing.  And if the script is good. There a different kind of reunion Specials.  But it really all just depends on different things

The Waltons did 6 TV Movies Specials that spanned some 18 Years after it went off the air.  Little House on The Prairie had 3 TV Movies that aired after it initial ending in May 1983. The Movie that aired in January 1984 (One aired in December 1983)  is considered it Finale. Bonanza and Gunsmoke made some TV Movies after it ended.

It easier for Dramas to make a TV Movie. TV Movies made after a Sitcom has ended are usually not very good which is why there are  more Made for TV Movies after a Drama ends.

Pretty sure he is financially set for life. This gives him the option to take any role no matter the pay and not have to worry. Perhaps trying new things and choosing projects he really wants to be involved in matter more to him at this point in his career.

All of the Main actors in this show probably have this luxury as well . Exception might be Mayim and Melissa.

He is a multi-millionaire. He does not have to work another day in his life if he doesn't want to. Be serious, will you?

You got that right. He might feel the need to personally reboot, but seriously it won't be due to monetary needs!

If we are talking existential struggle, well, they will all have some adjustments to make. In the material sense I hope none of them have a Bernie Madoff managing their portfolio. But if they all have some equity deals they all should have cashflow.  And they have a great work ethic. I personally can’t  see a film franchise or anything extraordinary coming out of the show, but they have talent and exposure and maybe a heap of capital. That gives them a buffer. Failing catastrophe or very bad judgement the show’s talent should be fine. I guess we will watch the “whatever happened to...” click-bait pieces in the future. This was something of the zenith of accomplishment in this area of work.

I’m hoping the production staff and crew get new gigs too, if they need them. They had a good thing going. But the industry is built on piece work. It’s been a great run, but unusual.

Still, let’s see if the tone, storylines or style changes on the way out. S12 could be all “Sheldon gets launched”, or “Leonard and Penny plot their escapes”. Maybe it’ll be same same and 12.24 will be a quick sentimental wrap.  They’ll likely catch some major eyeballs late season as people get curious, for sure.

And out of curiosity, what lotery ticket should i buy? because i'm impressed at your powers of clairvoyance.

That was sarcasm.

Anyways, ppl hating on Jim so much for no reason that it sounds as if they are 8 years old aside; whatever the actors decide to do, it's what they want and since they have the monetary freedom to do it... hateful predictions please stop, thank you.

I think she means with finding new TV and Movie Roles. Jim will have a hard time in finding a new TV Role as he now typecasted unfortunately but he will probably have  a solid career on Broadway.  And that most likely is just fine with him.  His heart is with broadway more than TV Acting. I can see Kaley doing another Show eventually.  Bit I think she will take time off from acting to start a Family.

Well we shall see if something comes up  before next year you never know what could happen they could even change their minds

Could but it pretty unlikely. That almost never happens once a decision is made. Though It almost happened with Frasier. Season 11 was announced as the last one before the season started however by Thanksgiving the cast and crew started having a change of heart  and began talks with NBC on the possibility of doing 1 more Season. However after Christmas the talks went  fizzled and abruptly ended. The Cast and Producers decided it was time to wrap things up and move on.

Originally Season 9 of Friends was supposed to be the  last but the cast decided to do one more.  Mostly because NBC and Warner Bros threw a fit.  The Cast agreed on the account that they only do 18 Episodes.  They said season 10 was ENOUGH! They did nto back down with NBC begged for just one more.   So now a couple of the cast members regret not doing at least one more season.

Problem is The Big Bang Theory  is too expensive now for CBS.
