And if it wasn't that expensive for more what, 2, 3 seasons and they started to be run out of good storyplots? Would be better keeping the show on air because the money even without much quality? Personally I prefer they wrap the each character life stories before it sounds like without much to tell. Even it hurts a lot in my fan heart. That really hurt since yesterday but can understand Jim's decision though. Just my opinion

TV Sitcoms Made-For-TV Movies usually are not very good. The last one I can remember doing one was Growing Pains and it was okay. Dramas TV Movie specials are usually better and that why you need to see more of them. I can't see this cast doing a Movie or any kind of special like that It depends on what kind of reunion special we are talking about. i could see the cast reuniting on a talk show in the future (like 10 or 20 years) to talk about their time on the show. The Morning Shows do a lot of those with Classic TV Casts reunions. I like watching the Now if we are talking about a them coming back and doing Episode Special sometime in the future. No Thank. Jim will have a hard time in finding a new TV Role as he now typecasted unfortunately but he will probably have a solid career on Broadway. And that most likely is just fine with him. His heart is with broadway more than TV Acting. I can see Kaley doing another Show eventually. Bit I think she will take time off from acting to start a Family. He’s free to do whatever he wants. He can self-produce. I’m sure he’ll be “attached” to projects in some creative and beneficial way. He is not at risk in any sense... so far as I know. Maybe from Mike Pence. "Given that it will be TBBT final hurrah, fans of Penny & Leonard will nothing more than see the two's relationship progress. Since they got married it seemed like their story was cast aside to favor other character trajectories in the series - an odd thing considering that they are TBBT principal couple. It was the two's relationship that covered the romance angle in the series long before Howard and Sheldon got together with Bernadette and Amy. At one point the show even addressed their married life's lack of progress seeing that until now, they seem to not want to have a baby" Interesting analysis

Carlos
14 hours ago, Burberry said: but what is he pursuing? I highly doubt he will get a big movie role without his current title. In my opinion he made a horrible choice to quit right now instead of 2 years from now and land on the right foot with everyone instead of everyone being bitter angry. Why do you think it is a horrible choice? Because you don't like it? Why would his choice get everybody angry? I could be wrong but you seem to make it appear as if he doesn't have a right to make any choice he wants. Actually I think it is very advantageous to all parties involved that they know it is the last season so early on. TPTB have an opportunity to go out with a Big Bang (no pun intended - well...maybe just a little) and finish the overall story in spectacular fashion. 13 hours ago, Burberry said: Even if it is, he could've waited 2 years and then get as many roles as his heart desires Or not... If they think that the show is not funny anymore and is boring, then don’t watch and comment on their posts. I personally still love the show and the cast. There are fans who are genuinely sad to see the show end so please be respectful! Geez. Who agrees?! I know a lot of people say that the show has gone downhill and not funny anymore but it’s been 12 seasons for crying out loud! They did pretty good for being on the air for so long. I know some people say the cast are not into it anymore, I don’t blame them cause it’s been many years. They want to move on. They wouldn’t have stayed for 12 seasons if they didn’t care. Lol. Trust me. I am one of those people. IMO the writing of the show started to go downhill at the end of S7 and I wouldn't have minded if it had ended after S8, with that season having been written as the last one and not how it was actually written. However, I would never dream of being disrespectful or mean to Jim because of the decision he made. He's totally within his rights to do so. As far as I've known about him, Jim doesn't appear to be a stupid person, therefore I'm sure he has very good reasons for not wanting to continue with TBBT. Quote Where did the original concept come from? Lorre: We were discussing two different ideas together. One was about a woman who’s pretty much getting her life started at the beginning of adulthood. And Bill was talking about the 80s and the genius computer programmers that he was one of. And they were such remarkable characters that it kind of took over and then we said “What happens if we put the two ideas together?” and then I think the big move was to get them out of the computer world entirely and make them quantum physicists. They’re not entrepreneurs. They’re scientists. That freed us up from a lot of clichés. No pocket protectors!

MsGreentea
Somewhere between multimillion dollar weddings, private jet travel, beach houses, bi-coastal mansions Presidential suites,, 200k cars etc. - what else do they need. The original cast is set for life (and their children’s lives) if they aren’t just stupid with money. Now the producing stuff is different. How long do they have studio deals once TBBT is over? That stuff can be expensive. Jim is pretty well set with tons of extra millions from Young Sheldon. As far as being type casting goes- they all will have some real issues but they have all faced issues anyway. Johnny is a hell of an actor and had a great opportunity coming off of Rosanne but being so short was a major casting issue (except for TBBT or if you are Tom Cruise. It will continue to be a casting issue. Jim is not exactly leading man materiel in the conventional sense but look at what John Goodman did after Roseanne. Some of them will shed their TBBT character more easily than others. It will be interesting to follow them.
bfm
What I would most like in season 12 is a Lenny pregnancy and maybe the birth but I can settle for her still being pregnant when it ends. I would also very much like to see something happen with Raj, at least potential, something thay shows him going somewhere (metaphorically). I'm not all thay keen to see Howard's dad. I'm satisfied with Howardette. Shamy are fine, they could continue with Super Asymmetry. A plot where she is the center of attention and he struggles but supports her would be nice. Penny's sister! I would like to see her more than Leonard's siblings. Maybe have the whole family. I do not care that much about their last name, it's kind of a running gag now. Maybe they could do an almost reveal and/or meta-joke about that.

Denise07
There is no problem. TBBT is ending. Jim wants to move on. I personally wish him the best and hopefully he has continued success on Broadway and his production company grows into what he envisions. Projects he has now could certainly, grow, change, evolve. I respect his decision and don't see any sort of problem here at all. I wish the best for all the cast. We don't know them personally or what their career, family, personal goals are. At some point TBBT, the show had to end. Good luck to them all!

Maybe now that they know they're ending, we'll get Penny's maiden name. They thought it would be bad luck after not giving it over time to have one. Bad luck, I assume meant they thought they'd be cancelled. No problem now :). The same with the elevator. Gene Roddenberry specifically had the turbo lifts on the Enterprise (instead of beaming to the part of the ship you wanted to go) so the characters could have dialog. BBT used the steps. They could easily now use the elevator. They never fixed it because of the same superstition with Penny's last name.
