God, I hope not. I am sick of pregnancy storylines entirely.

Thank you. I would hope so. If we HAVE to put up with that, it definitely needs to be discussed.

I'd love to see them as many times as they can be there. They make me laugh. it could just be a few minutes on screen or an actual visit and I'd be fine with it.

I can understand your reluctance to see another pregnancy plot, but I for one would like to see a Penny & Leonard story arc after enduring episode after episode of Howardette's baby story and Sheldon & Amy's unending wedding plans

We will see his dad. How long has it been since we've seen his mom? Was it season 8 when we last saw her?

I actually loved when we saw Raj's parents together either ganging up on Raj or simply bickering between themselves.

Happy that Sheldon is at least going to try and attempt to form a relationship or kind of bond with them, even if it turns out to be unsuccessful it's the right move and it shows his heart is in the right place.

I wonder how this will unfold.

Might be difficult.

I understand that and I'm all for an arc. Just not another pregnancy arc again. If it has to be I will be happy for you. But I never at any point wanted ANY baby storylines. None. Ever.

Just had to put this post on this thread. I can see why Amy’s father wants to stay away from her mother. I never have seen Leonard ever want to stay away from Penny. Howard on the other hand I can see him hiding in the shower to stay away from Bernadette.

I'm expecting we will get some angst from Penny but no pregnancy (unless we get some time jumps this season).

You never can tell. With this being the final season all bets are off as per any previous plans that were made.

Sounds horrible...no time jumps please, no babies please from anyone. I certainly don't want to see Leonard running around after Penny for sex in order to conceive.. I was not a fan of Sheldon doing this to Amy either. The best option in my opinion is to have a story arc about deciding to have kids and show some heart to heart real conversations. Then very last episode there is an announcement. Leonard could say something about smart beautiful babies to pay homage to the original episode to the great glee of Lenny fans.

I would be alright with that!

I really thinks its canon Penny getting pregnant. I’m fine with that being at the end. I don’t actually think it’s a shipping thing. IMO if you are a FAN of the show and watched all 12 seasons no baby would tarnish the show. Saying that I would laugh my head off if Kaley got pregnant in real life.

You know I have read the very brief synopsis for episode 3. It states that Penny & Leonard will have a discussion about having children.  I assume this may be a result of her father's appearance.  But I am thinking why are they taking this plotline so early in the season after stating at the end of last season there will be no more pregnancy talks. I know the decision to make season 12 the last could have been a factor.  But I still get this feeling that there is something else behind it.  Could Kaley really be pregnant?  She was supposed to ride at a horse show this weekend but is not scheduled in any event.  Could be her shoulder is still not healed completely or something else?

It's because of her shoulder and she's not pregnant.  In her last IG video she was at a wine tasting with her sister.

They didn't say no pregnancy talks and they also kept saying "for now", they didn't commit to anything and it was before the decision to make it the last season.

If you're talking about the article with Holland - it's not necessarily episode 3. Also what really bothered me there is that he says they discuss whether or not they want kids (I already wrote many posts about this so I'm not gonna repeat my thoughts on that here). Ugh I can't wait to get some news about that.

I'm a huge fan of the show and have watched all 12 seasons and it certainly wouldn't tarnish the show for me if there was no Lenny baby!!

I think if there had been a deal for a 13th season we wouldn't have gotten any pregnancy storyline this season, obviously with it being the last season that now changes things.

I think Holland's explanation and reasoning at the time was sound, it sounded like the writers thought 4 seasons in a row involving those type of stories would have been too much and they wanted a break, so that they could focus on other stories. I thought Holland was spot on and I fully agreed with him, we needed a season break.

Obviously we are likely not going to get that now, we will indeed get 4 seasons in a row with no break in regards to that topic.

Personally I am 'burnt out' on that subject matter, but of course I will have to see how it is done and judge it based on what they come up with. But the news is far from ideal/welcomed as far as I'm concerned, but I totally expected it once it was confirmed 12th would be the last.

I'm burnt out on a storyline theme or topic, you appear to be burnt out on a character and not just any but the most famous and iconic one that in 10 of 11 seasons has had the most screentime and focus.

There is a pretty big difference.

You are partially right but not totally. You are correct about the character. The storyline was twice as long as it needed to be no matter who was involved though.
