The Screen-rant writer that covers TBBT made an interesting suggestion. She said what if they go on an extended trip, like maybe a honeymoon they never had

Good suggestion, but ensure it's a Sheldon free trip!!!

It is interesting to note that last weeks episode (no.19)  drew only an 11.437 live rating. A significant drop but still led the night shows. Could this possibly be because people are tired of the asymmetry topic for Shamy they keep forcing on us? Or was it just a slow night ratings wise?

We'll never know for sure, but it is a possibility. I was bored with it after about the third episode they did on it.

Perhaps Nobel prizewinners are not such a good draw as sportsmen and sci-fi stars. What else was going on that night ?

It is usually fewer people watching in the end of a season then in the start of the season.

Well, the broadcast schedules with the last interruptions were not quite plausible for many casual viewers either, I guess.

I don't usually follow the numbers since it changed to The Sheldon Cooper Show!

It's been a sucky season. I know many people who have given up but will probably be back for the finale.

I’m from a family of “closers” so have to finish everything I start. Some episodes have been bland and disappointing but I’ve watched them all. Wished the baby thing never happened but still want to know if they move Lenny “off the island” by the end so I’ll be there.

The How I met your mother last season was not that great. And the finalie was much maligned. But their is something about it being the last episode, that elevates it over a standard episode. That has been deviating from Good to Bad. So i am intrigued what happens in the finalie. I also wish 8x24 never happened, but here we are. Quirks and all. I would like to see Leonard or Penny get some satisfaction in their careers. Spoilers seem to suggest their exit story well involve leaving Pasadena, and ride off into the sunset.

The HIMYM last season was still much better than TBBT's IMO, except the finale but we don't know the BBT finale yet. Friends had various strong and iconic episodes in its last season. TBBT is just ending too late.

I'm hoping for Lenny to at least move across town and away from their annoying neighbor!

So do I , however i have a feeling nothing of significance will happen for them.

Honestly i wouldn't be surprised if the finale is like ep 9x17. Only this time it will be all about Shamy. And how there journey together led them to were they are. With them winning the Nobel Prize. Or worse having Amy announce she's pregnant too

I sadly agree, a Shamy celebration seems likely, including a baby, and if there's a bit of a time jump a bump/baby may also be seen. Since it has become Sheldon's hero story we're supposed to be ecstatic about that.

Perhaps if Lenny do move away from Pasadena in the finale this paved the way for a future spinoff series.

Given that they've talked about how they want to give the feeling the gang's lives will continue as they were, I have a feeling they won't do that. In fact my guess is the last scene may be the getting eating dinner in 4A, as usual. If they want a spin-off somewhere down the line they could always say they moved in that spin-off.

Yes, you could well be right there bfm. Perhaps eating and reminiscing about how far they have come.

If this were to happen; Shamy both winning the Nobel Prize AND getting pregnant would be such a slap in the face for all the other fans of the show and I probably will shoot my television. Everyone praises these writers but if they end it this way, I hope they never work again
