Honestly i wouldn't be surprised if the finale is like ep 9x17. Only this time it will be all about Shamy. And how there journey together led them to were they are. With them winning the Nobel Prize. Or worse having Amy announce she's pregnant too I'm guessing that Shamy will get a Nobel Prize and also that Amy will annonce that she is pregnant in the finale. Lenny will probably just stand behind their sacred kitchen island and wondering why everybodys life is moving forward and they are stuck behind the island. Cereal Apist
We keep talking about the kitchen island which got me to thinking about Gilligan's Isle and who the Leonard and Penny characters would correspond to on that show. Leonard would of course be the Professor; but would Penny be Ginger or Mary Ann?

hokie3457
What a great Episode for Leonard and Penny. The circle of their story is nearly closed. A few weeks ago we saw Penny being content at last in her career through the project with Bernadette. Tonight Leonard received recognition for his work by being “wanted” and given something despite Sheldon’s trying to dissuade him from his attempt. Shortly we will have an appearance by Beverly that may bring closure to things between her and her oldest son. There may even be some implications for Penny in Bev’s visit as well. So bittersweet.....But I’m kind of fine....

(don't read this @chucky ).....It was so refreshing and amazing and wonderful to see someone (and who that someone was, was also wonderful) say in essence "go sit somewhere else" and have it be case closed!!!!! SRAM
You know one thing that really bothered me about last nights episode was how far they have regressed Leonard, and even Howard and Raj, over the years on how they deal with Sheldon. Years before if Sheldon was odd man out in a plan or activity they would just go without him, but last night Leonard, and everyone else, couldn’t do that. Another thing was didn’t we have a previous episode where Penny admitted that assertive Leonard gets her motor running, so shouldn’t she have just taken him there on the couch after he the told Sheldon that he was sitting where he wants and Sheldon left in a huff? Zephon75
It was a good episode but i could have done without the Leonard plot having so much Sheldon involved in it. Also we we haven't had a Lenny main plot since the second part of the donor story arc and are unlikely to get one again and that's very disappointing. PS: I know some might consider this as a Lenny plot , but i don't to me it was just a Leonard plot.

I agree, seems as though every time there's a Lenny moment, Sheldon, Amy or both barging in and interrupting them!

That's just how the show works to involve all the characters-- just like they do with the Shamy centric stories.

Really? the two previous episodes were Shamy centric yet Leonard & Penny got very few lines in both. In this episode it was Leonard centric yet they still managed to give Sheldon/Amy / Shamy far more than Leonard & Penny got in the two previous Shamy centric episodes combined. It gives the impression that even when the plot is not about them they still have to put in the forefront, they don't do this with the other characters
