In this episode it was Leonard centric yet they still managed to give Sheldon/Amy / Shamy far more than Leonard & Penny got in the two previous Shamy centric episodes combined. It gives the impression that even when the plot is not about them they still have to put in the forefront, they don't do this with the other characters No chance within the Sheldon Show! joyceraye
Can somebody please, before the series ends, tell me what's wrong with hanging around in the kitchen ? Millions of people have the kitchen as the hub of their home. Just because Lenny don't have theirs walled off and the only other place to sit and talk is across a space of sitting room with the middle of it left as a corridor to the bathroom and bedrooms, it doesn't to me invite ridicule. Nobody complains about the Howardette kitchen.

Just because Lenny don't have theirs walled off and the only other place to sit and talk is across a space of sitting room with the middle of it left as a corridor to the bathroom and bedrooms, it doesn't to me invite ridicule. Nobody complains about the Howardette kitchen. One of the complaints over the years is that Lenny have not been given enough opportunities for stories outside of the home, that their story has become boring because the only place we tend to see them is in their apartment and usually at the island. Part of it is that those Lenny stories, as Shamy have taken over, are just them hanging at the kitchen waiting for one or both of Shamy to come in to talk to them or standing there observing Sheldon dominating the scene - a classic case in point was the Spock documentary when they spent the entire episode at the island as an audience watching and commenting on Spock’s interview. Even last week, when Shamy went to the sensory deprivation tanks, Lenny only left the island to go observe Shamy there like they have no other point other than to be around in Shamy stories. Classic Lenny would often be seen in their iconic bedroom talks. Now they just talk at the island. Season 5-6 Lenny were seen going out. Now we just see them at the island talking about what they did. Nothing wrong with kitchen island itself as Lenny would often be there OR Penny’s kitchen island in earlier years. And it’s been exaggerated at times. But it’s become the symbol of diminished Lenny as Sheldon and Shamy have become more and more dominant. (It’s a Lenny thread so Howardette kitchen is of little interest. And they actually have appeared in the living room, the bedroom, the nursery, the back yard and deck interchangeablely quite a lot in comparison to Lenny and the island - and more often solo) Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

If we continue to consider the holy kitchen island as a serious debating platform (after all its history, we could be able to do so), a result might be interesting. It has to be the kitchen island unless they go out. It's the only place they can sit face-to-face. On the comfy chairs the best they can sit is at right-angles. Beverly and Leonard are on far better terms then we’ve seen since S2. She also approves of his wife. I’m not sure Beverly should be giving parental advice to anyone. I hope that is not true. I think they have to explain why Penny does not want children, because as you have stated previously they dropped this bombshell of a topic on Leonard and the audience without any explanation. The only reason I can see that they would not address this topic again is because they just do not know how to get themselves out of the situation without offending people. I don't know why...this is fictional they can do anything they want.

I agree they may avoid it because they've pissed many off so much already so they rather leave it 2 hours ago, chucky said: We always have hope!
